Chapter 312: Chapter 312 - 308: Daddy Kisses Mommy
Jing Jihan came back before ten o’clock.
Mianmian was already sleepy, curled up on the sofa and almost asleep, but woke up immediately when she heard the door and rushed to hug Jing Jihan’s leg, shouting, "Happy New Year, Uncle Ji Han!"
Shi Su’s mouth twitched: "Shi Mianmian, it’s not midnight yet, you’re too early!"
"Oh." Mianmian turned her sleepy eyes toward Shi Su, then tilted her head back to look at Jing Jihan, who had just picked her up: "Then I’ll say it later!"
Jing Jihan chuckled: "Staying up so late just to wish me a Happy New Year?"
"Yes, yes!" Mianmian hugged his neck honestly in his arms: "I want to be the first to wish Uncle Ji Han a Happy New Year, so I’ll be Uncle Ji Han’s favorite little treasure in the new year!"
Shi Su was sour to the point her teeth were aching from Shi Mianmian’s words: "You went to sleep in H City for so long last night, but didn’t get up first thing to hug me. Today, you won’t sleep just to be your Uncle Ji Han’s little treasure right away, Shi Mianmian, your favoritism is too obvious!"
Mianmian blinked at Shi Su, then blinked a few more times at Jing Jihan, whispering, "Mommy, are you jealous?"
Jing Jihan, holding Mianmian, walked to Shi Su’s side and joined Mianmian in appraising Shi Su for a moment.
Shi Su was almost made uncomfortable under their gaze, asking in surprise, "What are you looking at?"
"Probably yes." Jing Jihan finally lowered his head to answer Mianmian’s earlier question.
Shi Mianmian immediately covered her mouth and giggled: "Mommy is really jealous!"
Shi Su: "......"
Crazy!
Does immaturity spread?
Jing Jihan actually cooperated so well with Shi Mianmian.
Shi Su glared at the two of them, turned around ready to walk away, but was unexpectedly pulled back by a man’s arm wrapping around her waist.
She was stunned and, turning back in an instant, saw Jing Jihan’s other hand still holding Mianmian, with this hand now holding her close, he bent down and kissed her on the lips: "Let me see, what does normal jealousy from Mianmian’s mom look like?"
Shi Su: "???"
What do you mean by normal jealousy?
When was she ever not normal when jealous?
Wait, when was she ever jealous?
Was blocking his phone and WeChat before considered that?
With a face full of confusion, she glared back, but then noticed Mianmian had somehow covered her eyes with both little hands.
Was that when Jing Jihan kissed her?
She twitched her mouth: "Jing Jihan, you’re setting a bad example for the child."
Jing Jihan still held her without letting go, while lowering his head to look at the little girl who had spread her fingers wide to peek: "Daddy kissing Mommy is normal, isn’t it?"
"Yes!" Mianmian said while laughing, and once she finished laughing, as if she became shy, she covered her eyes completely.
Jing Jihan took the opportunity to kiss Shi Su again, and she quickly wanted to retreat, but was held firmly in his embrace.
"What do you mean Daddy kissing Mommy..." Shi Su’s face started to blush suspiciously: "Those two words are too heavy, you..."
Just then, Jing Jihan’s phone vibrated, Shi Su hadn’t finished speaking and quickly reached out to hold Mianmian back into her arms: "You should take your call first."
He looked at her, picked up his phone, and though Shi Su might have seen incorrectly, she noticed a brief moment of concentration and pause when he saw the caller ID before answering the call.
Mianmian snuggled in her arms, whispering in Shi Su’s ear about what happened after she fought with Haohao at kindergarten. Shi Su listened intently, not paying attention to what Jing Jihan was saying on the phone.
When Mianmian mentioned how the principal and teachers now know Jing Jihan is her dad, Shi Su’s eyes turned surprised towards Jing Jihan.
His call ended then, and he put down his phone, noticing her gaze, he turned to look at her.
Shi Su heard Mianmian whispering: "Now the teachers and kids know I have a dad. Mommy, can I stop calling him Uncle Ji Han and start calling him Daddy?"
Before Shi Su could respond, Jing Jihan glanced at something she left on the coffee table, then picked up the black velvet box.
"What’s this?"
Seeing the box, although she had prepared for days, now placing it before him made her suddenly nervous like nearing home: "...New Year’s gift."
Her words had barely finished when his deft fingers opened the black velvet box, inside were cufflinks of dark silver gleaming under the light.
The cufflinks had no branding marks or semblance to other brands, clearly handcrafted, made from top-notch platinum, understated in color yet sophisticated, finely crafted and would pair well with any suit.
Less conspicuous on the ridge of the cufflinks, one side was carefully engraved with an H, the other with an S.
The two letters, needless to say, represent H for Han and S for Su.
The material for the cufflinks was from Shi Su’s earlier purchase, when Jing Jihan asked what she bought, she refused to reveal it.
Being premium platinum, just a small piece cost her over twenty thousand yuan. While its price and style couldn’t match those of Jing Jihan’s expensive cufflinks, it was Shi Su’s most dedicated, successful, and satisfying creation since learning how to make such things by chance.
After viewing the cufflinks, Jing Jihan evidently guessed what she had bought during their visit.
"You made it?"
"Yes, I learned the crafting method by chance in a jewelry store abroad, but certainly it’s not as exquisite and perfect as those by designers, so just keep it as a memento, no need to..."
Having entered the door without removing his suit, before she finished speaking, he had already fastened the cufflinks onto his sleeves.
Earlier, she thought modestly that he could keep them at home as memorabilia, not wear them out.
...But surprisingly, they actually looked quite good!
Of course, the owner’s charm and presence were enough to enhance this simple pair of cufflinks, but Shi Su’s sense of accomplishment filled her inside.
"Not bad." Jing Jihan praised without reservation: "What made you suddenly decide to give me this?"
Shi Su blinked: "Because when I successfully slept with my ’sugar daddy’, I suddenly wanted to find something to commemorate that day."
Jing Jihan raised an eyebrow at her: "...So this isn’t a New Year’s gift, but a souvenir of your success in sleeping with me?"
Mianmian, listening, looked puzzled: "Mommy, what are you talking about?"
Shi Su promptly corrected her expression: "Nothing, adults chatting, kids shouldn’t eavesdrop."
Mianmian was full of curiosity, looking at Shi Su, and wasn’t easily fooled by her mommy, with a strong desire to know: "I wasn’t eavesdropping, but I heard it and understood, but I often sleep with mommy too. You never gave me a souvenir..."
Shi Su: "....."
