Chapter 295: Chapter 295 - 291: Is That Xuan Nan Villa Yours?

Seeing Shi Su so shocked she could barely eat, Jing Jihan said: "In Li Lake Bay."

Upon hearing the three words Li Lake Bay, Shi Su was first surprised, then suddenly struck by another wave of astonishment.

Then she looked at the man in disbelief: "I’ve heard others mention that there’s a private estate over there called Xuan Nan Villa."

Seeing Jing Jihan’s refined brows faintly arch, Shi Su still looked at him with disbelief: "That Xuan Nan Villa is yours?"

Jing Jihan picked up a piece of fish without bones and stuffed it into her open mouth, speaking calmly: "In the future, it’ll be yours too."

Shi Su: "......"

"Yao Platform’s Trace" is still a hit, and due to Shi Su’s popularity and the dance substitute incident from a few days ago, Shi Su is a constant presence on the trending lists, her fan base growing larger, and the studio members increasingly busy.

At the "Honey Ferris Wheel" set, which Shi Su is still filming, fans often come to visit, but there are too many of them. Considering that spoilers might get out and that too many fans could disrupt the shooting schedule, they’ve set up barriers at the filming site.

However, when Shi Su enters and exits the car, she can still see groups of young fans waiting outside.

It’s inconvenient for her to get out of the car, so she asked Chujie to buy over twenty cups of hot milk tea to give out to the fans, instructing them to go home early and not to visit the set again. It’s too cold to be waiting outside.

In the RV.

Jun hasn’t been answering her phone or messages for two days, so during a break from filming Shi Su asked Chujie: "Has Jun gone on a business trip recently? She’s mysteriously been missing for two days."

Chujie looked equally puzzled: "I don’t know, I haven’t seen her for two days either, she hasn’t replied to any messages."

That’s strange.

How could a person disappear suddenly for two days in this era of technology, without even replying to a single WeChat message?

Could something have happened?

"If she continues to remain unreachable, let’s file a report tonight," Shi Su said half-jokingly, half-seriously, then picked up her script and headed out to continue filming.

Tong Yuanyuan’s acting is still as poor as ever, and every time she encounters Shi Su it’s still like a clash of titans.

However, Shi Su’s rise in fame has been so rapid lately that Tong Yuanyuan’s fan count is being crushed by Shi Su’s, so it’s not an easy time for her to stir up trouble again. She at most makes Shi Su endure extra takes during filming, but since when Shi Su endures, the whole crew endures too, privately everyone has little good to say about Tong Yuanyuan, while Shi Su’s dedication and professionalism are widely praised. Especially after knowing about Shi Su’s past dance substitute incident, combined with her acknowledged acting skills, many believe the award she was passed over for five years ago, will eventually be rightfully hers.

Shi Su doesn’t join these discussions; after finishing a scene, aside from discussing the mood and lines of the next scene with the director, she basically returns to the RV.

But Chujie doesn’t know what Shi Su has been up to these past two days.

"Sis, what are you doing?" Seeing Shi Su engrossed after returning to the RV, Chujie couldn’t help but ask.

As he approached, he saw the little silver object in Shi Su’s hand but couldn’t quite make out what it was.

Shi Su kept working on the item while responding: "It’s my heart."

Chujie: "???"

Shi Su sounds like a girl in love...

Forget it, he didn’t want to ask anymore! Before he gets fed more sugar!

Shi Su ignored Chujie’s slightly haughty look, continuing her work while calculating the time.

There’s about a week left until the New Year, working on it a little each day should be enough to finish it by then.

As expected, Jun still didn’t contact Shi Su that night, so Shi Su really considered making a report to Wen Ke since Jun had been missing for over forty-eight hours. But before she could call, Yijia Entertainment unexpectedly called her.

The company’s artist director said that Jun had gone abroad on a last-minute business trip a couple of days ago and was having signal issues, barely managing to contact the company. They called Shi Su to reassure her, so she could continue filming without worrying about Jun.

In this day and age, which country would have signal issues causing problems for so many days? Switching to a local SIM card would allow internet access, and she’d be able to reply on WeChat.

The explanation was flimsy, but since it was a call from the company, it wasn’t right for Shi Su to press further, though she still mentioned the situation to Wen Ke.

Wen Ke said knowing Jun, she would want to reassure Shi Su directly, rather than through the company. So whether Jun is abroad or not, there’s definitely more to the situation at the company that they don’t want Shi Su to know for now.

His perspective aligned with Shi Su’s thoughts.

What could be the situation?

With Shi Su’s recent surge in popularity, Jun should be dedicating all her fervor to work during Shi Su’s rise to fame.

On the next day, Jun still hadn’t contacted Shi Su.

Taking advantage of the afternoon when she had no scenes, Shi Su took three hours to drive directly to Yijia Entertainment headquarters.

Jun had signed Shi Su while she was in the United States years ago to become an artist, being responsible for her and two other artists, and opened a studio outside as one of the bosses. Yet behind them there was a bigger agency, Yijia Entertainment Media Group. Though this agency wasn’t nearly as strong as Four Seas Entertainment, especially since the company president had other businesses and wasn’t particularly invested in entertainment. The employees were quite dispersed, and although it’s called a group, the headquarters wasn’t very large.

Upon entering, she directly sought out the artist director, wanting to inquire about Jun.

Upon hearing Shi Su had arrived, the artist director hurried downstairs to greet her, inviting her upstairs to sit in the office, calling an assistant to attend to her. They asked Shi Su to sit and wait.

"I have to head back to filming soon, I don’t have much time to wait here." She glanced at the time, then warily at the artist director’s smiling face.

She hadn’t forgotten how when she wasn’t famous and occasionally accompanied Jun to the company, everybody ignored her, especially this artist director, who wouldn’t even offer her a seat, just made her wait outside.

With the attitude shift now, Shi Su felt there was more to it than just her current fame and influx of traffic to the company. There must be other reasons.
