Chapter 219: Chapter 219 - 217: Completely Naked in Jing Jihan’s Arms
Her arm was yanked out of the water, causing the towel around Shi Su in the bath to shift with the flow.
She hurriedly tried to steady herself in the bathtub and simply sat up straight, grabbing the drenched towel to cover herself.
Jing Jihan took a sterilized towel, wiped the water near her arm and wrist wounds, and then used disinfectant cotton on her injuries.
Shi Su flinched from the pain, but the man’s firm grip on her hand prevented her from pulling away.
"Sit still." Seeing her nearly slip in the bathtub due to her reflexive reaction to the pain, Jing Jihan continued treating her arm while sternly reminding her: "If you fall in the bathtub and drown, there’s really no saving you."
Shi Su held the towel tightly against her chest with one hand, while her other hand was held by him, barely managing to sit steady in the tub again.
Yet the disinfectant cotton on wounds already soaked in water was truly painful, the piercing pain she endured, while carefully keeping her legs together under the water, because the towel could cover either her top or bottom, but not both at once. Though she wasn’t completely exposed under his gaze, it was close enough.
This man, who was usually so gentlemanly, seemed to have completely withdrawn that part of himself today, dominating and direct, making Shi Su doubt if she was just overly sensitive due to the circumstances or if he was genuinely reaching his limit, refusing to tolerate her further?
Jing Jihan, aware of her constant attempts to cover herself with the towel, applied the medicine on her without a word.
The struggle of the petite woman was a world away from the bold act she pulled in the Jing Family’s bathroom.
She probably couldn’t even recall, after getting drunk at the Jing Family, unbuttoning her bathrobe before him with such audacity.
"How did this happen?" Jing Jihan turned her arm over, spotting a particularly severe wound under her elbow, the flesh was nearly revealing, if any worse, she’d require stitches instead of mere medicine.
Shi Su glanced at it. The situation in the car then was too chaotic, she barely remembered, likely it was Chu Chao scratching her or she caught it on something.
The wound was too severe, applying medicine would inevitably hurt more, Jing Jihan took another piece of disinfectant cotton, slightly leaning over the bathtub, his actions as gentle as possible: "Bear with it."
Just as Shi Su was about to say "It’s okay, I can handle it," the disinfectant cotton brushed across the wound under her elbow, no matter how gentle Jing Jihan was, the pain instantly made her tense, even her toes curled. She abruptly turned her head and bit into the man’s shoulder.
Jing Jihan paused from her ruthless bite, looking down at her.
Shi Su’s forehead was damp, whether from water or sweat, her teeth gripped his shoulder tightly, her face at close range filled with unbearable pain, but it seemed she regretted after biting, wanting to pull back, yet as soon as her mouth moved an inch away, the continued application of medicine forced her to bite down again fiercely.
Eventually, Shi Su even tasted a faint metallic taste, indicating just how hard she bit. Jing Jihan, however, seemed unfazed, never pushing her away, calmly treating all the injuries on her arm and then raised his hand to tend to the recurrently wounded spot on her forehead caused by the car door.
Shi Su released her bite, looking at his shoulder, the collar and front of his once pristine, expensive white shirt smeared with traces of her blood, his shoulder now bore a shallow indented mark from her bite, his clothes also slightly wet, though not much, it wasn’t negligible either. She stared at it dazedly until the disinfectant cotton on her forehead caused a sharp pain, eliciting a hiss from her, stopped from moving by his hold on the back of her head.
She was indeed in a sorry state.
Even Jing Jihan, so impeccably clean, was dragged down into her disarray.
Yet, despite the dishevelment, the noble and powerful aura of this man remained utterly undiminished, his temperament always so clean and piercing.
After finishing the application of medicine, Jing Jihan finally glanced down at her: "Can you stand on your own?"
Shi Su nodded. Immersed in the water to ease her body and emotions and having her wounds cleaned, the atmosphere and the presence of the man gradually pulled her from the chaos. By now, her sight had cleared significantly, neither dazed nor overly sensitive.
Jing Jihan put down the disinfectant cotton and medications, stepping back two steps, motioning for her to rise: "Staying in the water for too long isn’t good, you’re done, get out."
Although he said so, there was no hint he intended to leave the bathroom.
Shi Su glanced at him, Jing Jihan stood there, calm and collected, looking at her, unmoving.
Resolutely, she supported herself on the edge of the tub to stand, but given her state, she was clumsier than usual, especially one arm freshly treated, couldn’t touch water, while the other kept holding the wet towel at her chest.
No sooner had she squat to stand up in the tub, Shi Su suddenly lost balance, about to fall back, and as her medicated arm neared the water, Jing Jihan seemed to anticipate it, and immediately reached forward, wrapping her bare waist, then in her startled split-second, lifted her horizontal out of the water, disliking the soaked towel obstructing, he casually tore it away.
Shi Su’s eyes widened as she was lifted stark naked out of the water by the man, unable to catch up with the rapid heat rushing to her face.
Until taken out of the bathroom, the room pleasantly warm from the air conditioning, yet having just emerged from the hot water, Shi Su, exposed to the bathroom’s dry air, shivered in his arms.
The moment she was placed on the bed, she summoned all her strength to flip the quilt, swiftly rolling over once to completely enclose herself, revealing only her pretty head, straining her neck to peer around.
Previously muddled, she had no idea how she was brought here, unaware this wasn’t the Junkai Hotel but an unfamiliar business suite near the hospital.
Jing Jihan watched her wrap herself into a cocoon-like state, standing by the bed, face stern, slightly amused: "Do you know how the consorts of the Qing Dynasty’s imperial harem were styled before being sent to serve the emperor for the night?"
Before Shi Su’s mind, still somewhat slow in responding, could process, the man glanced at the quilt on her: "It’s just like you look now."
Shi Su looked down at the quilt wrapping her and the nakedness beneath it.
"......"
