Chapter 136: Chapter 136

At Golden Fall Villa.

The sound of the gates opening and the honking of the car were like wedding bells to Rayne’s ears.

She was in her room, getting ready for bed when those sounds reached her ears. At first, she thought she was hearing things. Then she wondered who had the guts to come into the Villa at that time of the evening.

But then, something struck her mind. Only one person could…

The hairdryer in her hand dropped on the floor and broke. She didn’t mind it, and she grabbed a towel and wrapped her hair with it, darting out of the bedroom and straight to the living room entrance.

“Young Miss!” Max met her on her way out, his eyes holding the same excitement her heart was thumping with. “It’s the Young Master. He’s back!”

Max didn’t need to tell her. Rayne could already feel it in her heart. She looked from the door to her not-so-presentable appearance. She even paced for a few seconds.

“Get the Chef! Let her prepare food.” She ordered the guy who instantly walked away.

Rayne’s excitement turned into anticipation as his footsteps approached the living room. She had the urge to run into his arms the moment he appeared, she even planned to do that…

Then the man appeared in her vision and all those thoughts left her. On his face was the same kind of look he had given her last time.

As if she was air, he didn’t glance in her direction and made his way upstairs.

“Andy!” Rayne hurried after him and grabbed his arm. Standing close to him, her eyes teared up as she took in his familiar presence. “Didn’t you see me? You’re finally back. Where have you been all these days?”

Rayne had an inkling of where he must have been. Wasn’t he living with that girl? Max had told her everything when she woke up.

Max investigated his whereabouts and it turned out he had been staying with her.

“Rayne, what is it?” The man looked impatient, giving her a displeased look. “Why are you still here?”

His last question was the last straw to send her breaking down. However, Rayne composed herself. Instead of feeling hurt, she was more happy that he was here.

“Andy, promise me you won’t leave anymore. Wherever you’re staying at, this Villa is a thousand times better. Won’t you come back home?”

This was supposed to be their marital home, but now, everything was out of Rayne’s reach. Even he was out of her reach.

The only thing that assured her that she would get him back someday was the awaiting death of that girl.

Once she died, Andrew’s eyes would finally open. Her heart would find peace and she would get what was rightfully hers back.

The man shrugged his arm, making her lose hold of it. His features were hard and he didn’t even look at her. As if staring at her face was insignificant to him. “Rayne, stop wasting your time.”

He walked upstairs after saying that and Rayne’s heart sank into a bottom’s pit. Slowly, her fingers balled into a fist and her shoulders began shaking.

“Young Miss, you asked for me.” The Chef appeared and she maintained a safe distance from the venomous-looking girl.

When Rayne stared at her, it was as if she was staring back at a thousand-year-old viper. The atmosphere around her was suppressed and she gave off a dark aura that made the woman imagine hell.

“What is it?” She asked in a low angry tone filled with hate.

“He told me you wanted me to cook. Young Miss, what would you like me to cook for the Young Master?”

Rayne raised her hand to slap the woman and she quickly cowered to a corner, dodging her attack.

“Come back here, you dirty b*tch.”

It seemed the Young Miss was bent on heating the Chef and she had no choice but to move forward.

For the past few days, things had been a bit peaceful in the Villa. She avoided this Young Miss to the best of her abilities.

The Young Miss constantly bullied the new cleaners, and the Chef was always able to escape her wrath. Who knew that with the appearance of the Young Master, the Chef would be unlucky to get on the girl’s bad side?

“Young Miss-“

*PAK*

Rayne sent a hard slap across her face, making her head flip to the side. The woman covered both cheeks and knelt down.

“Please have mercy, Young Miss. If I did anything wrong, I implore you to overlook it.”

“You didn’t do anything wrong.” Rayne shook her head chuckling. “But I hate you. I have everyone right now. And you know who I hate the most?” She grabbed the woman’s chin roughly. “I hate myself for being this pathetic.”

“Please, Young Miss-“

“Can’t he see my desperation? I have been patient for a long time, yet he chose that lowly girl over me again and again. Am I not working hard enough?”

The Chef shut her eyes, fearing another slap would land on her face. Her body trembled inside as she knelt in front of the girl.

She wouldn’t be surprised if the Young Miss stabbed her with a knife. In her whole life, she had never seen anyone with this much hatred that it would reflect in their eyes.

“Young Miss, you’re beautiful. You have everything, I don’t think the Young Master doesn’t like you.”

The Chef thought she would be able to pacify the girl, but the fingers on her chin tightened, digging into her flesh.

“Young Miss.” The Chef went on. “You worry too much about the Young Master. What if I told you there’s an easy way for you to get him?”

“Who do you think you are?”

The Chef was afraid if she didn’t let her go, she might hurt her deeply. She couldn’t handle the pain anymore.

“I- I know what men like the Young Master are after. Young Miss, you claimed you have been patient, however, you’re now showing him your desperation.”

The fingers around her chin dug deeper and the Chef swallowed. “W- What if I told you there’s a way you can have him wrapped around your fingers completely?”
