Chapter 79: Chapter 79
CHAPTER 79
FIVE DAYS LATER (After Sara’s Surprise Party)
DINAH
It was just two days to the festival, and Dinah felt all pumped up and happy as she wore her clothes hurriedly.
Glancing at the mirror in her room, she shot a wink at Tessa who was also getting dressed, as they prepared to finalize their plans for the carnival night.
Today, Dinah would pay of some of the organizers with money Mikey had given her, and also she would run down the activities with them.
They were not to make any fucking mistakes at all, because not only would it cost her, but then it meant that the bitch, Sara Parker or whatever her name was would go scot -free and Dinah just didn’t want that at all.
She didn’t want any part of her plan to be disarrayed, and…
“The bike is all set.”
Dinah was broken out of her reverie by one of Mikey’s biker friend, who was peeking at them from the door, and she hissed out loud as she chided, “Why didn’t you knock? We could have been naked and…”
“Well you both are not. It would have been better though if you both were, especially you Tessa or what’s your name again?” The rude boy cut in, staring at Tessa and giving her a rub down obviously smitten with her.
Dinah grabbed her bag, watching the both of them stare at each other, and she could tell that Tessa also liked the guy.
“Let’s get out of here.” She announced loudly after some time, and smacking her glossy lips staring at the mirror one last time, she started to walk out of the room.
On getting to the door, and opening it furiously not caring that the biker boy was still standing there, she pushed him out of her way, and yelled behind her whilst she was at the corridor, “Tessa!”
Tessa was already hot on her heels, and together they proceeded to leave Mikey’s house, to the carnival grounds.
Today, was going to be a good one… Dinah could sense it.
*****
The revving bike came to a stop, in front of the large gate that housed the carnival center, and taking of their helmets, Dinah and Tessa handed it over to the driver.
Muttering some thanks, they watched as the bike’s ignition started again, and then it sped off down the streets.
They were going to use the taxi when coming back, so as not to rouse any suspicions too.
After some minutes of watching the machine speed of, Dinah and Tessa started to march towards the gate.
Showing off their entry passes, as well as bribing the security man, they were soon of to the carnival lot.
“Do you think this is going to work out Dinah? Are they going to agree? This is something risky and…” Tessa began to say but Dinah cut her of instantly, “Will you just fucking shut up. If I haven’t thought about all this, do you think I would be here? I have up to 2,000 dollars with me here. Their wages for a year or even more, and you think they would just pass it of, because of what? Their integrity? Saving a girl who they knew nothing about? Oh spare me that.” Dinah huffed, her feets moving rapidly.
“But…”
“We have gone over this countless times Tessa.” Dinah cut in again, “We have ran over this plan, and you have been all to happy and excited about it, so why this behavior now? Why are you chickening out? Put up a brace face, and please don’t ruin this day for me.” Dinah rasped out, the commanding tone in her voice evident and luckily for the both of them, Tessa said nothing, just muttering a curt yes.
“Soon we would be out of this place, our plan already halfway done and we would go out to celebrate, or don’t you want that?” Dinah asked and Tessa replied this time enthusiastically, “Yes, yes.”
“Good. So just follow my lead.” Dinah said again, and nodding, Tessa followed her as requested and they both walked straight to their destination.
Practicing her speech, Dinah continued to lead the way.
She was going to talk to her accomplices here, about the cameras to be placed, the private bed space amongst other things.
There was no way, she could afford to loose after all this efforts, and the plan she had in her head for months.
Nothing absolutely, nothing at all!
“Hello Mr Furler…” Dinah greeted as they rounded the receptionist’s counter.
Discarding her thoughts from earlier, she held out her hands out for him to shake, and at the same time she gave him a seductive wink.
The receptionist not missing thud opportunity. swiftly took her palms and placed a kiss on either of them.
If Tessa saw this and had her opinion, well she made sure not to say anything not that Dinah cared.
Tessa, was still a bitch to her, not someone she could wholeheartedly trust.
Tessa couldn’t even say anything of her behavior to Mikey, or the fact that she, Dinah, slept with other men too, because she would see her end.
That Dinah, knew she would make sure of.
“Where’s Mrs Ada, and Mr Philip.” Dinah asked hurriedly, and muttering some pleasantries, Mr Furler quickly belted out replies, and then leaving his counter, he led them all the way to the offices of the man and woman they were meeting.
Coincidentally and just the way she would have wanted it, Mr Furler stopped at a lone oak door and then he says the words, that made her smile, “They both stay here, and they are around. You can just go in and…”
Not allowing him to finish yet again, and cutting through his statement, Dinah brought out 2 hundred dollar bills from her purse.
Handing it over to him, she said slowly not sure he had caught the words, “Thank you so much. You shall be highly rewarded later on, should this plan come to pass.”
“Thank you, thank you so much. God bless you and…”
Dinah pushed the door open, and walked inside the plush office, while Tessa followed behind her.
The office was well spaced, and just had two tables separating the people in the room, but Dinah was not here to survey the modern architectural center.
Her eyes zooming in on the two people in the room, Dinah’s lips quickly stretched out in a wide smile, noticing them instantly and they both stood up in respect or whatever, bowing their heads at the same time.
“Good day ma’am.” They greeted instantly, and the way they were behaving, addressing her to, made her feel so big.
Her chest swelling, priding herself heavily, Dinah briskly walked towards them shaking their hands while they exchanged pleasantries.
Motioning at Tessa to come have her seat, Dinah quickly faced them, and dropped the heavy money bundle on the round table.
“So…” The lady began, and Dinah interrupting completed the statement, all the while cracking her knuckles, “It’s time to go ahead with the plan. In here…” She paused pointing at the leather bag, “In there rather, is 2,000 dollars for the both of you. I’m paying right now, as long as you both agree to carry out this job in the best possible way. Am I understood?” She voiced out, flipping her shoulders, as she watched them curiously.
The agile looking man and the wide eyed woman exchanged some looks, and turning to face her they both nodded their heads, as they said in unison, “Yes, we understood you.”
“Good, now let’s get to business…”
…….
SARA
Sara couldn’t move out of the bed.
Shivering, her throat sore, she wrapped her arms round herself tightly, as she turned around facing the other side of her bunk bed.
This was the second or third time rather, that she was falling sick in months and she didn’t like this feeling at all.
It made her helpless, and also if Ariel found out about this, then the lady sound barrage her poor soul with loads of questions not that she gad any strength to answer them.
Her eyes fluttering open and close, Sara brought her blanket to her neck as she started muttering some prayers, hoping she would heal fast again like the other times.
She didn’t gave much money again to go to the hospital or clinic for any checkup and she hated medicines, injections or any other medical prescriptions.
She just wasn’t ready for all that.
“Hey yo…”
Instantly Sara stiffened, willing her shivering body to calm down the moment she hears Ariel’s voice from behind her, but instead if the shivers and chills to stop it worsened and Sara not holding it in any longer, let out a loud curse.
“Woah, what’s wrong with you Sara?” Ariel ask, the distress in her tone evident enough.
Her hands reaching out to the blanket that she had used to cover herself up, Sara felt Ariel placing a hand on the burning skin, and quickly she blurted out startled, “Jesus Christ! Sara you are freaking burning out! Your body is so hot, good gracious!”
“I’m fine Ariel. It’s… it’s just some fever. It will pass of. Remember I’ve been feeling this way these past few months. I think it’s the full cold weather. I’ll be fine.” Sara stuttered out, her voice hoarse, as she tried stretching her lips into a thin smile.
“No, no you won’t be fine Sara. This is not the first time like you said, and that’s a clear indication that you need to be treated. We are going to the clinic right away. I’m going to call a matron, and she will help us out of here.” Ariel said hurriedly, and as she made mention of a matron and going to the clinic, Sara knew that her friend was dead serious.
“No, no! Don’t call anybody Ariel. I promise you I’ll be fine. I am fine already, can’t you see…”
She paused making a show of touching her beck, “My neck is no more burning up. I’ll be okay.”
“I insist Sara, I insist.” Ariel said defiantly, and turning to look at her, sweat clinging to her brow, Sara said with a sigh, “You worry too much Ariel, and even though it’s sweet when you do so, at times you just end up being a pest. Like now! You are just freaking disturbing me!“
“Yes, I am a pest and I wholeheartedly agree with that, but come on Sara… We need to go to the hospital, just look at you.”
“I’ve been having these symptoms these past few days, and it’s been passing off. I’ll be fine.” Sara said, her voice firm, and removing the blanket of her body completely she sat upright, feigning some kind of strength.
The trick seemed to work on Ariel though, because she just folded her arms, and sat on the bed.
Sara, seeing that her friend had dropped the topic gave a haughty smile, and then she opened her mouth wanting to say something but Ariel cut her halfway with ab underlying threat that for reasons unbeknownst to Sara sent chills down her spine, “Just know that this discussion is not over Sara. We are going to the hospital whether you like it or not.”
Hiding the fright in her eyes, Sara said slowly smiling, “Whatever you say Ariel, whatever you say. Come and gist mr a bit…”
Stretching her hands out, she winked at Ariel, catching her hands wanting to drag her closer to where she was seated, but she was met with disappointment.
Ariel refused, taking her hands away and out of Sara’s reach.
“What?…” She asked dumbfounded, but she got no answer.
Ariel was already walking out of the room, saying something intelligible.
Then, she uttered her last statement which echoed loudly around the room while the other kids in the room, watched the both of them, “I’m going to get you some drugs.”
