Chapter 75: Chapter 75

CHAPTER 75

SARA

“Where are you taking me to Christian? This is the second time you are blindfolding me and doing these things that I don’t like and…”

“Shhhh…” He said to her, his hands around her petite arms, and he patted her gently, as if wanting to reassure her, as they kept on walking on wet grasses.

“Where’s Ariel and Daniel and…”

“Shhh… You are one very inquisitive being aren’t you?” He said with a chuckle, and she just grumbled.

She was more than curious, and now she was regretting how she had not taken to note their destination when Daniel had picked them up from the boutique.

She had been busy with her small cellphone, playing some games and trying to burn away the anxiety and nervousness that flooded her whole body.

Instantly, when Christian had come to pick them up from the not so familiar road where the cab had dropped them off, he had placed a chaste kiss on her cheeks, and then twirling her round as he assessed her dress while she blushed at his compliments, he had taken her unawares by placing the black cloth on her face, tying it tightly.

Now she was absolutely clueless, blinded, and walking down an eerily silent path.

The only sounds she was hearing, were that of the crickets and fireflies swarming around, and the clattering of her heels and Christian boots.

Oh Christ… She exclaimed within herself, goosebumps already over her skin, as he kept leading her, his hands on her shoulders to nowhere she knew in particular.

She was safe with him though, knowing he would never…

He stopped moving, and so did she.

“Are we here?” She asked anxiously, her heart beating fast even when she knew the answer.

She could hear soft music playing in the background, and she could hear some whispers and murmurs around her.

Most importantly, she felt the stare of drilling eyes on her body, and she inwardly squirmed in embarrassment.

“Christian…. Christian talk to me.” She was impatient to see what he had in store for her, burning from toe to toe with eagerness, and it didn’t help that he was currently teasing her with the blindfold he had placed over her face.

“Christian…” She drawled in yearning, and he chuckled softly.

“Here you go, my love…” He said slowly, and it took forever for him to get the blindfold of her face, and when he did, she had to squeeze her eyelids thoroughly, blink twice and prepare herself mentally and physically for what she was about to see and then…

“Oh my… oh no Christian…” She whispered in amusement and wonder, her mouth dropping open in a gasp at the scene before her.

It was an outdoor party, with his family, and her close friends.

She could see his mother and siblings seated at one corner of the decorated table, with smiles on her face, and she saw Ariel, Christian, Miranda and even his colleagues from the construction company he previously worked at, and they all had beaming expressions on their faces.

She was struck with awe, and as her eyes wandered away starting at the whole thing, Sara felt like breaking into sobs.

Every single thing was perfect, and just the best.

The tables that were clustered with four ribbon tied chairs around them in groups, the beautiful lighting and confetti all around the open space, made everywhere look so enchanting she couldn’t take her eyes of it.

She saw the large cake on a table too, frosted with pink and blue buttercream, and it was decorated with little love shapes in every color one could think off.

Streamers hung in a line hung in the air, and written boldly across the satin were the words “HAPPY 17th BIRTHDAY SARA PARKER.”

Everything was just so beautiful and unreal.

She was still lost, her mouth agape staring at the decorations when she felt Christian slightly part her hair, and she felt his smile on her skin as he said breathing, “Happy birthday baby…”

“Happy Birthday Sara…” Everyone gathered around, rasped out, standing up and clapping while she broke out in a sob, tears steaming down her cheeks.

It was a dark and stormy night quite alright, the weather not aligning with the situation, but with Christian just standing behind her, placing a chaste kiss on her neck as he whispered seductively in her ears, professing his love for her, and wishing her a happy birthday yet again, Sara couldn’t contain her joy.

“Oh my dear, this is just too much… just too much…” She whimpered, blushing profusely still crying, and as they continued singing the happy birthday song for her, Sara turned around, shy to even look up at him, and stretching her arms wide, she enveloped Christian in a tight hug and said continuously losing track of time, “I love you so much Christian, I love you…”

…….

CHRISTIAN

The night had been superb.

The party had been so fun filled, with lots of laughter, dancing, wining and dining and lots of celebration.

Just seeing Sara smile happily, eat freely, and have some good time was everything he wanted on this world, and Christian didn’t want this joy to be temporary at all.

He wanted it to be permanent…

He wanted to be with her every single time, making her happy and giving her everything she wanted.

And he was working towards that.

His hands suddenly going to his pocket, where her processed documents lay, as well as her ticket and visa too, Christian’s heart thumped loudly as he watched Sara from afar dancing and mingling with his mother and siblings.

That image right there, was what he pictured every single time he thought about her, and their future.

Shaking his head slowly, bringing his thoughts back to the present, the most important part of the whole being, sitting right there in his pocket, he started to think about how he would he break this news to her, and most importantly how would she take it?

He had given her subtle hints about his plans, and knowing the kind of person she was, he trusted that she wouldn’t take this news lightly with him at all.

The news that her time at the orphanage was limited, or the fact that he had already prepared everything about their departure from this little town, to the broad city of Seattle, where the future lay bright ahead for him, and hee also.

He was really optimistic about it all, and every step of the way he imagined her by his side.

A smile crept on his lips, as he watched her tattle and dance with Daniel, her wine dress glowing in under the lights, and her cream colored skin begging to be kissed.

Blood rushed down his thighs, down to his privates and for a second he forgot all about Seattle and the future.

The only thing that overtook his head, were images of how he would fuck her tonight back at home, in his room, with his music playing in the background stifling her moans and…

“What are you thinking of Christian?”

Christian instantly froze, his hands in his pocket tightening as he felt Ariel come up behind him, standing by his side.

Every single illicit thing in his head, flew out almost instantly, and then the dawning thought of Seattle came back all over again.

Clearing his throat, and straightening he said, “I’m yet to talk to her about Mrs Patrick and Seattle. I’m scared she won’t take the matter lightly, considering that I’ve done so many things without her permission and…”

“Oh, Christian don’t tell me you are still all bothered about this?”

“I am, you can see. One minute I’m being propelled to talk to her, and relay the good news, but at the next step, I’m stuck in my tracks and the underlying certainty that she is not going to react well to this and…”

“Don’t think that way Christian. You would have told her this since right, but I told you to wait? This is the most perfect time for you to break the news to her, and I’m sure she’s going to be happy. The both of you are going to start a new life there, and knowing the love she shared for you, and with everything you have done for her today, then she’s surely going to be happy about this.”

“How do I tell her that I’ve finalized the tickets, and paid for her every expense. She has been very adamant about going to Seattle, you know. I don’t even think I’ve told you about this. About her non indulgence… I… I just don’t know why, but I’m having doubts and…”

“Oh will you shut up Christian!” Ariel cut in with a scoff, and he kept quiet instantly.

She was a very commanding lady, and inwardly Christian asked himself how his friend, Daniel was coping with such sassy attitude.

Nevertheless he knew that Daniel did love her, and he was in that position too, and he would endure just anything to be with the person that mattered the most in his life.

“You have to summon courage and go talk to her.”

“But how? When? Where?” He asked quietly.

“See…” Ariel pointed at Sara, who was now standing alone and looking down at her phone.

She looked so fucking beautiful and all his.

“Yes… yes I can see her.” He stammered out.

“Cool, now go talk to her. She’s alone, and now is the best time to do so. Break this news to her, today’s the best time to do so.”

Now thinking about it, she was right and…

Suddenly, Sara looked up, and as if she knew they were talking about her, she started to scan around, presumably looking for someone, and she continued on and on, until her eyes landed on him and she gave out a breathtaking smile.

Damn! But she was beautiful.

He hadn’t even accessed her from head to toe today, but as she began to walk towards him, the steaming garden lights doing no justice to her insane beauty, Christian felt tears burning at the back of his eyes, as he stood still.

He heard Ariel say something in a whisper to him before leaving, but he had no idea what, because his stare and attention was fixated on the caramel colored goddess, striding towards him.

Her brown curly curls packed up and highlighting her beautiful face as she kept on smiling, Christian made a vow within himself that he was going to keep this woman for better for worse.

He didn’t care if they were still young, or the age difference between them or whatever, he just wanted her to be his, and now more than ever he had this shove of courage within him to show her the letter and tickets.

Bringing out the papers from his pocket, while she kept on walking towards him, Christian said a silent prayer in his heart.

He prayed that his intentions would work out well, and he prayed for his future to always include Sara Parker… the lady who had brought love and light to his soul.
