Chapter 63: Chapter 63

CHAPTER 63

DINAH

Ever since Ariel had publicly humiliated Dinah some days ago, she hadn’t been herself.

She had had sleepless nights, woken up with bittered faces every morning, and sneered at practically anybody who came her way all because she was still mad and angry.

Mad and angry at the bitch, and at herself too.

Coupled with the fact that she was on her period, and that time of the month, her hormones were up a notch.

She just felt like doing something so disastrous, the urge was so insane she couldn’t curtail it.

She had even driven Tessa away from the room they shared, wanting to have her own privacy as she needed to think over what she had to do tonight bitch, as payback.

As she thought of it, another idea came to her.

Why didn’t she do something haunting to that other friend of hers, Sara?

Sara who was trying to take her man from her…

Sara whom she hated with so much passion, and whom she had planned a heavy incident for.

Worse of all, was that just yesterday a matron had called her, and told her that Sara had sneaked out one night to visit someone, and the person seemingly had escorted her to the shelter’s gate in the morning.

The person, who was none other than her Christian, her man and the love of her life and at that thought, her heart squeezed in raw pain.

Hmmn? She sighed loudly, as she laid on her bed, and just immediately an idea came to her head.

What better way to punish both of them, than disrupting their things and sending a cryptic message.

She immediately rose up and grabbed a book and pen from her bedside and the she began to work…

Time to do something chilling… Dinah thought to herself, a smirk at the tip of her lips, as she spilled red ink on her hands wanting to dab at it.

They needed to be warned, no Sara needed to be warned, and she could only imagine how her friend would feel when they both saw that letter.

This was just the beginning of more things to come.

Not the beginning actually, this was just a reminder.

“A fucking reminder!” Dinah said laughing evilly, as she wrote.

They were not ready for her, not just yet.

SARA

“Like I don’t understand. It’s been ages you know!” Ariel squealed, school bag in hand as they both walked to their room.

“Ariel, just forget about that okay.” Sara said with a smile, and placed a hand on the door knob of their hostel.

She wanted to open the latch, but then it was locked.

“Huh?” She questioned, trying the door handle again, but it refused to budge or open.

“The door’s not opening?” Ariel asked and Sara nodded.

This was strange and unusual too.

They were not the only ones living in the room, and with the door being locked it just meant one thing, and that was the fact that nobody was in the room.

It was almost 7pm in the evening, and no one was around.

All 8 girls, that normally stayed in the room with them, were not around and for Sara this was the first time, she was experiencing such.

Besides if not for the fact that after school, Ariel and Sara had gone to the supermarket to spend some time there, they would have been back by the shelter since.

Now she didn’t know why she was having an eerily feeling about the quietness of the surroundings, and the empty room, but then Sara just couldn’t shake the feeling of from her.

“Here…” Ariel said to her interrupting her thoughts, and handing her the spare key, they normally kept in their bag.

“Oh thank you.” Sara said gratefully, and collecting the key from Ariel, she quickly made fat work if opening the door.

Slowly the door opened and the room’s light was turned off.

Walking inside, Sara removed her bag from her shoulders, holding it still standing, while Ariel groped ij the dark looking for the switch.

Immediately the switch turned on, Sara and Ariel met the shock of their lives.

A shiver ran down Sara’s spine, and that chilling fear feeling she had gotten from before returned, as she stared round the room, but specifically on her bed.

Their bed rather…

She turned to look at Ariel who was just standing like her, eyes straight on the bed, and mouth wide open in shock.

Her clothes were everywhere, red ink spilled on her torn bedsheets, and some of her undies and books were torn.

Who had done this? She asked herself quietly, folding her arms around her body, trying to calm herself down.

“What the fuck is this?” Ariel screamed, and turned to look at Sara who was nodding her head frantically in a bid to prove that she had no idea too.

She was also stunned and lost for words, and it just felt as if her vocal chords seized.

Walking robotically, she picked up the white paper she had seen from afar on the bed, and turning it over she saw something written boldly, and it read, -‘Sara Parker, your doomsday is near…’-

“Ariel… Ari…” Sara stuttered, hands cold and shaking as she turned to face her best friend who was already standing close to her.

“What is that?”

“Have a look…look at…at thi…this…” She was stammering, looking so frightened as flashbacks of the previous incident ran through her head.

She remembered that little girl that had approached her some months back, and now this.

It was evident that whoever had done this was the person, behind that day’s own too, because the handwriting was almost the same.

“Who the fuck did this? I’m so calling the matron to this issue. Like what the fuck!” Ariel cursed, picking up the scattered and torn bedsheets and dumping them immediately on the floor.

“I think this is something private Ariel. We shouldn’t involve anyone, let alone the matron. We will handle it.”

“Handle what? Are you crazy? How do we handle a death threat? For goodness sake, this is one Sara can’t you see. I’m reporting to the matron this instant. The cameras here would have seen somebody.” Ariel was saying, and was already leaving the room, probably to report to the matron.

“Ariel come back…” She screamed loudly but Ariel was already out the door, leaving Sara to fall done flat on the ground in heart wrenching sobs.

Just who was doing this to her? Just who?
