Chapter 58: Chapter 58

CHAPTER 58

CHRISTIAN

Christian and Daniel stood outside the shelter’s gate, as they waited for the love of their lives to step out.

He had called Sara with his cell phone earlier, and they had promised to be down soon, after taking their excuses from the matrons.

It was a breezy sunny Sunday morning, and just days days earlier, they had all planned to go to church together.

Sara was the one that had actually brought up church, and after Christian consented to it, they had invited Ariel and Daniel too.

Daniel and Ariel who were now a full fledged couple, and honestly Christian was so happy for his best friend.

His mother had also been happy with the fact that her son who was not really a church person, had agreed to finally go to church, and she had even called Sara, calling her daughter and thanking her profusely.

The way his mother was very fond of Sara, even calling her daughter and treating her like one, never ceased to Christian, and for the love of it all, he liked it very much.

It was what he wanted and more.

Suddenly the gate opened and both he and Daniel looked straight at it, but were met with dissapointment, as it was not Sara and Ariel, but another set of teenagers who looked as if they were also going to church.

Bringing out his phone, Christian decided to call Sara again, when Daniel bent and whispered in his phone, “They are here.”

Indeed they were there, as he looked up, Christian’s breathe was taken away from him.

She was so gorgeous.

Nothing and no one seemed to exist just the two of them.

He didn’t for once look at Ariel, as his whole focus was on Sara.

She was wearing a blue sundress, long and flowing, with a black sandals.

She was also holding a strap bag, which Christian knew would contain her Bible, jotter, phone and whatever thing she would be using today.

Atop that curly brunnete mane of hers, was a wide brimmed brown straw hat, shielding her from the sun, and making it almost impossible to view her face, but he still did.

Her lips were glossy and shiny, and her face was make up free, but she was still the most beautiful woman in the world.

“Heya Christian.” She greeted, as soon as she came to where he was standing, but he didn’t answer, instead he grabbed her quickly, catching her off guard and pulled her in for a quick kiss.

“Ewwwwww… Today’s is Sunday. Holy day…”

“You guys, get a room already.”

Christian heard Ariel and Daniel say, but he paid them no heed.

He was focused on what he was doing, wiping the lip gloss off her lips.

She tasted like strawberries, chocolate…. Dang it! She tasted like everything sweet.

At first she had struggled against him, but now she was just a poodle of goo in his arms.

“You look beautiful love.” He complimented, withdrawing his lips from her.

She was blushing, blushing hard.

Cute patches of red, filled up her might caramel skin, and he just laughed.

“You look cute when you do that you kn…” He was still talking when Ariel interrupted, “It’s okay the both of you. And you Christian…” She paused pointing at him.

“Yes?” He answered her looking at her with a smirk, his arms around Sara.

“You didn’t even greet me, or compliment my dressing.” She said pouting.

“Daniel just have done more than what I would do…” He said and then added, “You look beautiful too.”

“Thank you.”

“Okay okay everyone, shall we all finally go to church now? We need to thank the Lord for the goodness of the week, especially me.” Daniel said, and winked at Ariel, who in turn blushed.

Laughing, holding each other’s hands, they all began walking to church.

SARA

Today had indeed been a lovely day.

Church service had ended, and now her, Ariel and Daniel were all seated under one of the benches in the church’s garden, as they waited for Christian.

As for Christian, he had went to get them some snacks.

Ariel had complained of being hungry, so Christian had took it upon himself to get them all, something to eat before they left the church premises.

“Who am I seeing?” Ariel said, her voice surprising as she tapped Sara’s legs frantically.

“What is it?” Sara asked, and Ariel didn’t answer, instead she pointed at a very familiar figure walking away, Bible in hand.

“Oh my goodness. Is that?...” She didn’t even finish her statement, she actually couldn’t finish it because she was so shocked.

What the hell was one of the mean trios back in the shelter doing here in church.

They rarely attended church, ad they only went to parties and now here was Miranda.

“Oh my goodness, is that Miranda?” Sara asked disbelievingly.

“Of course it is. I can’t believe she came to church. They never come to church.” Ariel said adding her thoughts.

“Who are you guys talking about? I’m confused here.” Daniel who they had left out of the conversation asked and with a chuckle, Ariel proceeded to tell him all about Dinah, Tessa and Miranda.

“I heard they fought too, and that Miranda is no more staying in Dinah’s private suite or VIP room as she calls it.” Ariel said as she talked to Daniel, and Sara widened her eyes in horror.

“Oh my… I don’t believe that story one bit.” She said.

She knew, no not that she knew, everyone in the shelter knew how tight these three mischievous girls were.

If they decided to disband, it was really going to cause big troubles that was for sure.

“You don’t believe it, but now Miranda came to church. What do you think she has come to do here?” Ariel asked sarcastically, and at Sara’s silence she said mockingly, “She had come to seek forgiveness frombGod, and maybe turn a new leaf of course.”

“Ariel be serious here. What are you saying?” Sara asked again.

Ariel just rolled her eyes and then said, “You see the news of their fight gas been circulating round the shelter. People are happy, because we all know Miranda to be the strongest of them all, and Dinah’s bodyguard because of her stature. At the same time, people are scared too.”

“I am also scared too. Who knows if this is a set up… It…” Sara trailed off.

“You know what you worry too much. Why don’t we go over there and ask her before she leaves huh?”

“Would that be a good idea?” Sara asked.

“We won’t know if we don’t go.” Ariel said curtly and stood up and Sara followed suit.

“Give us some minutes, we would be right back.” Ariel said looking at Daniel.

“Where are you guys going too?” He asked, but Ariel didn’t say anything again.

Instead she grabbed Sara’s hands and leaning down to place a kiss on Daniel’s cheeks, they both left him on the bench.

It was time to investigate some stuffs!
