CHAPTER 20

"So what do you want to know about me?" asked Christian.

"I want to know everything about you, your parents too, your siblings, how you work in a construction site and at the store at the same time, just simple basic things about you also the place you school, and other important stuffs I guess." Sara said feeling more relaxed now that she had told him everything about her and he had not condemned or rejected her.

Ed Sheeran's perfect kept playing in the background of the restaurant making the atmosphere more romantic, friendly and soothing.

Christian sipped more of his wine and then placed the glass on the dinner table, carefully wiping his lips with the napkin placed for them, he cleared his throat and said-

"I'll surely tell you everything about myself okay. Let's not rush into all these talks headfirst, so let me tell you about my family right, that's important for you to know."

"Yes I guess."

His lips churning up in what could be described as a smile, it was obvious he loved his family so much.

He replied, "Well I am the first child and son of my parents, I have two younger siblings a brother and sister who can't wait to meet you already."

"Oh my, really." she asked feeling surprised, that meant he normally talked about her to his family.

"Yes, they all know about you, well my dad is late and my mom is still alive, that one just can't wait to meet you, she wants to know the girl that has captured my heart."

Chuckling heartily, Sara was so surprised she did not know what to say anymore.

"Sorry about your dad though, I know how it feels to lose someone close to you, I have been in your shoes one time remember, although I can't recall much of it, I just remember social welfare coming to take me from our tiny apartment back then and telling me, my mum has travelled and that she wouldn't be back soon, I never knew she died or that I was going to be taken to a shelter back then, I was so little you know." Sighing she took a sip out if her wine glass also, she hated recalling that fateful day, but she just wanted to let it all out to him, she was tired of holding back secrets.

"I understand, I totally do, should I surprise you this night?" he asked her his eyebrows twinkling in mischief.

"Surprise me, urmmmm yes please do." She replied smiling.

Signaling the waiter who came forward immediately, Christian paid the bills and stood up whilst stretching his hands towards her.

"We are leaving now, God I don't want this date to be over yet oh, hmmmpph." she grumbled sadly.

"Over, you don't know the half of this, I said I wanted to surprise you right, this date is not yet over, putting it lightly I will just kindly tell you that the night is about to begin." Christian said and inwardly her heart lept up in relief.

They were now on the beach, he had removed his shoes so he could walk barefoot and she had followed suit, now they were walking to where he had rented an engine boat for the night.

"Where are you taking me to now Christian, we have been walking like this for the past ten minutes and i am not seeing a reasonable place where we are going to?"

"Curious much?"

"I'm damn curious, hey satisfy the curiosity already mister." Sara said raising her eyebrows in a cute way, that did things to him inside.

She was so inquisitive and demanding, Christian had her hand in his and he squeezed it tightly.

"Relax okay, we are almost there, or do you want me to ruin the surprise by telling you already?" He asked her laughing.

"Pfffffffft, if the place is still far then let's walk faster, these passing time feels like a year to me already, ugggghhhh." she answered him rolling her eyes frustratingly.

"Do you know you look so adorable and cute when you roll your sexy eyes." he asked her wanting to elicit a response out of her, and he got what he wanted but in a much spectacular way.

Removing her hands from his and abruptly stopping, she folded her arms together defiantly and faced him squarely while saying, "Christian stop all this stupid tantrums and take me to wherever the hell you are taking me to already okay."

Having said that she left him and kept on walking so fast she almost passed the place he had kept the boat.

"Hey slow down, we are almost there." He shouted while chuckling.

"That's what I keep hearing from you, I don't know what to believe anymore, tueh." She spat and kept in walking.

"I'm serious we are already there."

"Huh?"

They were already there, looking around, Sara could not see anything, except the moon shining down on them beautifully, and hearing the waves from the ocean lasping ahead.

Turning to face Christian, she stared at him dumbfoundedly and in complete loss as to what this surprise that had taken them hours to get to was.

Rolling her eyes frustratingly, she made to speak when suddenly she heard fireworks being displayed above, turning to look up she was met with the shock of her life.

Carefully written above, the fireworks had spelled, "I love you Sara Parker."

Enchanted and enraptured by the fireworks above, she didn't even know when Christian had snapped his hands and little bulbs of lights currently glowed on where she stood.

Looking forward, she saw a magnificent beautiful looking boat, that had her name inscribed by the side again and she was awestruck.

Facing Christian with her mouth wide open in shock, she was about to say something when he immediately dragged her forward and placed his lips on hers.
