By the time Tara woke up again it was in the afternoon. Her whole body was aching badly.

She tried to stand up from the bed but her leg trembled.

That beast!

No matter how much she begged he did not release her and instead it was like he got energized more.

She felt refreshed but her body was aching.

She walked into the only door inside the room which was the bathroom.

She took a shower.

She walked out of the room.

She smelt an aroma coming from the kitchen, her stomach growled like she had not eaten food for a week.

She quickened her step and walked into the kitchen.

She saw Richard standing inside the kitchen in a daze.

"Richard" Tara called in a low tone.

Richard snapped out of her daze, he raised his head and looked at her.

"You are awake. Are you hungry? The food is already ready" He said, forcing out a smile trying to look normal but Tara did not fall for it.

"What is wrong?" She asked.

Richard smiled, "I will tell you once you finish eating" He said and caressed her hair lovingly.

Tara pursed her lips and nodded.

She let him lead her towards the dining room.

She sat down, Richard served the food for her.

Tara took her spoon and started eating.

She took her phone and was about to log into her social media handle when her phone was suddenly snatched.

Tara raised her head and looked at the Stern man, confused.

"You must finish your food first, I will give you your phone once you finish eating" He said sternly.

Tara nodded obediently and continued eating in silence.

She finished eating and gulped down the water.

"Done" She said and looked at Richard.

Richard nodded.

"Uhm… Tara I want to tell you something okay" Richard said slowly.

Tara heart sank immediately, she suddenly started trembling for no reason even she does not understand the reason why she was trembling after hearing Richard 's words

Richard stood up and sat down closer to her, "Are you alright? It seems I should not tell you, I have not even told you and you are acting this way" He said, concerned.

Tara's eyes were red, like she was bullied, "Tell me" She said. She tried to control her body from trembling.

"Are you sure?" Richard asked to be sure.

"Yes, see I am not trembling again. It seems like I was just a little cold before, "she replied.

Richard looked at her and saw that she was telling the truth she was not really trembling anymore.

"Okay, it is like this, I saw the news about Sherry," Richard said and looked at her to see her reaction.

She did not have any reaction and just looked at him.

"Uhm… it says Sherry is uhmm… d..d..ie" Richard stuttered, he did not know how to finish his words.

"Why are you stuttering so much? Just tell me" Tara said and looked at him with disdain.

Richard closed his eyes and said as fast as he could, "The news says Sherry has died" He said.

He did not hear Tara speak for some minutes, so he opened his eyes.

She was in a daze and seemed to wake up.

"The news is fake, I am sure of that" Tara said even though she said so she was uncertain.

"It is not fake, I called a friend of mine when I saw the news he said it was true he is a friend of Bryan too, Cornelius" Richard said.

Tara raised her head and looked at him, "Y-you l..ied to me? When I asked you about her you told me that she was alright and that you saw her with your two eyes. How come she died?" Tara said with an accusing tone.

"N-no I did not.. I never did… I really saw her with two eyes Bryan's villa caught fire she died in the fire" Richard said trying to explain so Tara won't misunderstood him

"I don't believe it," Tara said and stood up suddenly.

Richard was scared that his face turned pale in fear.

"You should not stand up so suddenly, remember you are pregnant" He said in a gentle tone not wanting to aggravate her further.

Tara put a hand on her stomach, "Yes I am sure Sherry still wants to be a godmother, she will surely be okay" She said with a smile.

"Yes, so you have to take care of yourself, Okay?" Richard said, coaxing her.

"Mm" Tara nodded heavily like an obedient student.

Richard caressed her hair, "Good girl" He praised her.

"Let's go, where is Bryan?" Tara asked.

Richard's face turned serious. "He is in the hospital," Richard replied.

"Hospital? He is injured?" Tara asked.

"No His grandma's heart attack acted up again after hearing the news," Richard replied.

Tara swayed fortunately.

"Tara!"

Richard was standing behind her, he immediately steadied her.

"I am fine," Tara said, even though her face was pale.

Richard held her hand in his, "Shall we go?" He asked.

Tara nodded absentmindedly.

Richard held her hand and they walked out of the house together.

He opened the car door for her, he closed the door after she got in.

He walked to the driver side, he got in.

He drove out of the house.

He turned his head and looked Tara with concern in his eyes, "Are you alright?" He asked.

Tara nodded.

Richard drove straight to the hospital.

At the hospital.

Tara got down from the car.

Richard immediately opened the car and walked towards her, afraid that she would hurt herself.

They walked into the hospital together.

Richard saw Cornelius sitting down outside.

He walked towards him slowly because of Tara.

"Where is Bryan?" Richard asked immediately he got to where Cornelius was seated..

"You are here," Cornelius said. He pointed at the ward room in front of him, "He is inside there with Grandma, he should be out soon," Cornelius replied.

Richard nodded.

He turned and looked at Tara, "Do you want to sit down? So can we wait for him?" He asked gently.

Cornelius had never seen him with a gentle expression so he was shocked.

Tara nodded.

She knew when to be sensible, she knew standing will only make her more tired than usual.

She sat down beside Cornelius.

"Is she your girlfriend?" Cornelius asked when he saw that Richard had no intention of introducing Tara.

"Yes and will be my wife soon," He admitted.

Tara's mind was not focused on what Richard was saying so she could not even blush.

Cornelius' eyes were about to pop out.

"You are really fast! You have already got her pregnant! You are a beast" He said with a certain voice.

He felt aggrieved at the thought that he was still single while his two friends he thought were hopeless would soon become a father.

But at the thought of Sherry.

He sighed and felt that it was a pity.

Sherry was Bryan's first love, she wondered what he would do without her in the future.

He already looked like he has become aged overnight when Sherry's death is not even upto a day yet. He was just like a body walking with no soul.

Cornelius did not say anything and kept quiet.

Soon the ward room door opened, Bryan walked out of the room.

He looked exhausted, like he could collapse at any time.
