Bryan walked into the living room, untying his tie looking tired. The kitchen door opened, A middle aged woman walked out of the kitchen.

"Welcome back Sir" She greeted.

Bryan nodded in reply.

"Did she come out today?" He asked.

The middle aged woman, Charity, knew that he was referring to Sherry. She shook her head, "No she did not, I did not hear or see except when I went to give her lunch" Charity explained.

Bryan nodded, his brows furrowed in frustration.

He employed charity to help Sherry with her needs since he was not always at home and had to go to the company every day. He also asked her to be monitoring her and not allow her to go anywhere or meet anyone.

His grandma has always been asking about Sherry but he lied to her that she traveled out of the country because of the pregnancy and will be back after giving birth. That was the same excuse he gave Mr and Mrs Adamson too and they believed him and did not suspect anything.

He was not also willing to imprison her or restrict her movement but he was afraid that once he allowed her to go outside she would run away anytime and he also had a feeling that once she left he would never be able to get or see again so he can't risk it.

Ding! Ding! Ding!

The doorbell rang repeatedly making a loud noise.

Bryan frowned.

Charity immediately walked towards the door, She opened the door and closed the back.

Bryan sat down on the couch relaxed.

He could hear the sounds of someone shouting outside but he was too tired to care about it.

The living room door opened.

He could hear footsteps approaching him.

"Sir, there is a man outside who said he is your friend named Richard he said he wants to see you" Charity said.

"Tell him that I don't have time," Bryan said with his eyes closed.

"Okay sir" Charity said, she walked out of the house.

"Mr, my boss said he does not want to see you" Charity said politely, repeating Bryan's words.

Richard clenched his fist tightly "Tell him that I want to see him for something important" he said stubbornly not having an intention of leaving till he sees Bryan.

"But Mr -" Charity said in a dilemma.

"Make way" Richard said

"But -"

Richard walked past her, Charity could not block him , he was a man while she was just a powerless woman.

She could only follow him behind helplessly.

Richard walked towards Bryan, he grabbed him by the collar immediately he got to where he was sleeping.

"Sir, I tried to stop him but - " Charity immediately tried to explain when she saw the scene change immediately in her eyes.

Bryan waved his hand to interrupt her, "You can leave" He said..

Charity nodded and walked away.

Richard grabbed Bryan's collar tighter, "Where is she?" He asked as he gritted his teeth.

Bryan looked at him with an innocent face, "Who are you talking about?" He asked.

Richard gritted his teeth, "Don't give me that face, Where is she? Where did you take her to?" He asked with anger in his eyes.

"Can you leave me alone first?" Bryan asked.

"No just fucking answer my question, Where is Sherry?" Richard said as his eyes turned bloodshot.

Bryan gave him a leisurely smile, "Can I know why Mr Richard is looking for my wife?" He asked.

"Bryan! I retreated just because I saw that she was happy being with you, I don't give a damn if she is pregnant or not. I can still take care of the baby, But you should not hurt her just because you are tired of her" Richard said.

Bryan smiled wearily.

Tired of her?

He was not tired of her but she was trying to leave him instead but he did not tell Richard this.

"You are worried for nothing, Sherry traveled out of the country and she will be back after she gives birth safely " Bryan said that was the excuse he gave everyone who asked about Sherry.

Richard released him, Bryan heaved a sigh of relief when he loosened his grip on him thinking that he had believed him.

Richard smiled weirdly, " Really? How about I call grandma right now and Mrs Adamson I heard that Sherry became her goddaughter recently, I am sure they will care about her location like me" He said with his phone in his hand.

Bryan clenched his fist, "I already told grandma about it, you don't have to bother yourself" he said with a straight face.

Richard clicked his tongue, "It is fine, we will search the house since I am already here. I think I still have grandma 's number " He said and started scrolling through his phone.

"Don't go too far" Bryan narrowed his eyes and said.

"Am I going too far? Well I did not do anything, you have nothing to fear since you are telling the truth " Richard said with his serious eyes on his phone.

Bryan cleaned his fist, "What do you want?" He asked straightforwardly.

Richard raised his head from his phone and looked Bryan in the eyes "I want to see her" Richard replied, straight forward too nit beating around the bush.

Bryan clenched his fist, "She does not want to see anyone or me" he replied.

Richard narrowed his eyes with hostility in them, "What did you do to her?" He asked.

"I don't know! I don't know! I went to work normally when I arrived at night she suddenly asked for a divorce! Damn!" Bryan said frustratedly, he did not say anything else when he saw that he had given too much information.

"I still want to see her" Richard insisted he saw that Bryan was about to talk so he opened his mouth and, "it is fine she won't see me" Richard said immediately.

"Fine," Bryan said.

He walked towards the elevator, Richard immediately followed him behind.

Ding!

The elevator door opened and they walked out of the elevator.

Richard stood in front of the room, he bent down and looked at the peephole in the door to see what was going on inside.

He could see Sherry sitting down on the bed, with her hand caressing her stomach with a motherly love in her eyes.

Richard's eyes were filled with love, when he saw her.

Bryan immediately tapped him silently.

Enough! Don't look at my wife anymore!

He did not say it loud but that was what he meant.

Richard rose up, he adjusted his collar and faked a silent cough.

They walked back downstairs.

"I can see that she is ok, her friend is also worried about her, I will tell her too that she is ok" Richard said immediately as they got downstairs.

Bryan nodded and did not say anything.

Richard walked out of the house.
