Two weeks later.

Sherry walked towards the kitchen, yawning, She just woke up.

She saw Bryan cooking as usual, she smiled at the scene.

She tiptoed towards him in silent steps, she wrapped her hand around his waist.

Bryan smiled when he saw this.

"You are awake" He said, in a deep voice.

"Yes," Sherry replied and asked, "What should I help you with?"

Bryan shook his head, "You don't have to bother, go sit down in the living room, I'll quickly finish this" He said.

Sherry didn't insist and nodded, she released him and walked out of the kitchen.

She sat down on the couch, with her phone in her hand.

Ring!

Her phone rang

It was her mom

She picked it and put the phone on her ear.

"Hello" Her mom said, her voice sounded exhausted.

Sherry's heart ached when she heard how tired her mom sounds but she knew that she must not show it, "Yes?" She answered, her voice sounded cold and indifferent.

Beauty could hear from her voice that she just woke up and was mad "You unfilial daughter, I am busy running around looking for ways to bail your sister, I couldn't sleep for the past two weeks but you actually have the heart to sleep?" Her mom scolded her.

Sherry clenched her clothes tightly, "Is that what you want to tell me? If that is all I will hang up now" She said.

Beauty was stunned, she knew once she acted pitiful her daughter heart always melt and she would quickly do whatever she asked her to do, but it actually didn't work this time, "No wait, don't hang up, I have something to say" Beauty said quickly so Sherry won't change her mind and hung up.

"Okay, I'm listening," She said.

"Your sister said she wants to see you, will you visit her?" Beauty asked.

"Is that all?" Sherry asked.

"Yes, so are you coming?" Beauty asked again.

"Okay" Sherry replied.

"I want to ask you a question, " Beauty said suddenly.

Sherry was about to hang up when she heard this, so she paused her hand, "Yes?" She asked

"Is your sister and Wendy close?" Beauty asked, confused.

"No, why?" Sherry asked.

She has never seen Wendy and Nancy together or anything, so she was sure they are not close friends. They only Met thrice and that was when she was still best friends with Wendy, she always come to her house and call Nancy, 'Sister Nancy' affectionately, Nancy was also like her, she doesn't have any friends and rarely make friends, she was always smiling politely at Wendy because she knew that she was her best friend.

"Really? Are you sure?" Beauty asked

"Yes," Sherry said.

"But why does your sister always ask me to tell Wendy that she should come down to the station to see her?" Beauty asked with an eyebrow raised.

Sherry was confused when she heard this.

"Really? Did Wendy go to check on her?" Sherry asked, her brows knitted. Confusion written all over her face.

"No, she never came," Beauty replied.

"Oh" Sherry muttered and asked, "Is that all?"

"Yes," Beauty replied.

"Okay, I am hanging up," Sherry said and hung up.

She was in deep thought after she finished talking with her mom.

Bryan walked out of the kitchen and saw that she was in deep thought.

He walked towards her and waved his hand in front of her but she didn't move and didn't even know that he was there.

"Sherry" He shook her shoulder.

Sherry snapped out of her thoughts and looked at him.

"You are done?" She asked

"Yes, what are you thinking about? I have been in front of you but you didn't notice" Bryan asked and sat down beside her.

Sherry raised her head and looked at him with a serious expression, "Help me analyze this" She said.

"Okay" Bryan nodded.

"Forget it" Sherry said, she doesn't want to remember what happened in the past anymore.

"Okay, I will listen whenever you are ready to talk about it" Bryan said, even though he was a little disappointed but he didn't let it show.

Sherry felt bad when she saw this, "I.."

Bryan stood up from the couch, "Food is ready, come and eat already" He interrupted her before she could finish her words.

Sherry nodded, and stood up from the couch. She followed him into the dining room.

They finished eating in a few minutes.

"Are you not going to the company?" She asked when she saw that he was about to start washing the dishes.

"No," Bryan replied.

"No it has been two weeks now that you didn't go to the company, no you should go today. I am fine now, Your company needs you" Sherry said firmly with no tone for negotiation.

She was not a fool and noticed that whenever she fell asleep in the night, he would leave her side and go to his study room to work. She woke up one day in the midnight around 3 am, he was not by her side when she woke up. She was confused and walked to the living room to see if he was there but he was not there.

She was about to walk back to the room when she noticed a small light coming into his study room. She walked towards there and bent down to see if he was there from the doorhole. He was there as she expected.

She sighed and walked to the living room to make milk for him. She knocked on the door and opened the door without waiting for him to reply. He was stunned when he saw her and could only smile helplessly.

Sherry dropped the milk in front of him, Bryan took it and drank it immediately.

He looked at her after drinking the milk.

his expression was saying 'Are you satisfied now Madam?'

Sherry snorted in reply when she saw his expression. She sat down beside him, she didn't leave even when he insisted for her to leave, she put her head on the table to rest, she fell asleep unknowingly.

When she woke up the next day, she found herself on the bed.

She knew it was because he thought she would be sad and depressed because of her sister. That was why he didn't go to work for two weeks. It has been two weeks since Nancy was arrested, Sherry didn't want her to go to court yet because Nancy kept insisting that she didn't know anything about it. She understood from her sister that she was timid and wouldn't do that but there is valid evidence and she could hear sister 's conversation with the truck driver so she was confused and kept delaying it. She was just detained for two weeks.

She insisted for Bryan to go work today so it won't affect Bryan's work.

Bryan turned around and bent down to plant a kiss on her lips, "Anything my queen says" He said with a smile.

He doesn't mind that Sherry was ordering him and was instead happy and hoped she could order him more.

Sherry snorted and helped him to wash the dishes.
