The officer nodded profusely, "Yes I'll do that now "

Beauty saw how respectful the officer treated Bryan in contrast to the way he treated her, it was like he wanted to prostrate in front of Bryan unlike the way he treated her rudely. She felt bitter about it but she became more reassured that Nancy will be released once the man says the words.

With a relaxed mind, she followed the officer into where Nancy was locked up. She was still detained because she had not been taken to court yet.

The officer opened the room door, Beauty immediately walked in while the officer closed the door and left the room.

Nancy looked frightened and stiff, she was happy the instant she saw beauty.

She stood up from the old chair which was inside the room, "Mom, you have to save me, I don't know anything about the attempted murder" She cried pitifully.

Beauty's heart ached when she saw how pitiful her precious daughter was, "I know you didn't do it. I believe you can never do such a thing" Beauty said and wiped her daughter's tears with her clothes.

Nancy's heart calmed down when she heard this, "Mom, have you called Sherry what did she say?" Nancy asked with a voice full of anxiety.

Beauty's face changed once she remembered her purpose of coming to the detained room, "Nancy, don't lie to mom. Is it true you tried to kill Sherry?" Her mom asked in a gentle voice.

Nancy's heart sank when she heard this.

How did her mom know?

Does Sherry also know about it too?

"Mom, who told you this? Was it Sherry who told you?" Nancy asked, she was panicking a lot in her heart but tried to act calm.

"Yes, there is strong evidence against. Tell mom if you do this, I will look for a way to make Sherry forgive you" Beauty coaxed her.

Nancy clenched her fist, anxiously, "Mom, I was just joking with her, I didn't try to kill. Besides she is not dead or injured, why is she taking it seriously?" Nancy said with a forced smile.

Beauty's heart sank.

She understood that Nancy was admitting it indirectly that she really tried to kill Sherry.

"Why would you do that? What kind of play is that, that you almost made your sister lose her life? You are playing with her life" Beauty scolded her harshly.

She knew how serious the case was and she could only beg Sherry to let her off on account that Nancy is her sister.

Nancy pursed her lips unhappily and went back to sit down where she was sitting before, "You are scolding me because of that bitch again, you always do that. Was it because I don't know how to make money and she always gives you money monthly while you have to feed me? Let me tell you the truth, your precious daughter is seducing old men to get the money she is giving you" Nancy said harshly.

Beauty was stunned.

She didn't expect Nancy to resent her secretly.

Was she not doing everything for her sake?

She had never blamed Nancy for not being able to make money. She loved her daughter very much and always acted like she was scolding and angry with her and acted like she was really treating Sherry nicely.

But her daughter doesn't understand her effort but resents her instead?

Beauty felt sad but she knew that the most crucial thing is to save her daughter so she won't go to jail.

Beauty walked out of the room, Nancy thought her mom was just throwing tantrum and would soon walked back into the room but she didn't see her even after thirty minutes, she started to panic and stood up, she walked towards the door and tried to open it but it didn't budge it was obvious that it has been locked from outside.

She did not mean to say that to her mom but she could not help but voice out the resentment she felt in her heart, Sherry snatched the only man she loved so why can't she teach Sherry a lesson in return but was instead arrested and was locked up too.

She knew her mom treated her more good than Sherry and she does not understand why but she did not care about it.

She just thought her mom felt bad for her. That is all she didn't think that anything was there.
