Chapter 45: Chapter 45
Author’s POV
After 10 days Ehan got discharged from the hospital. Though Naira’s parents had already accepted her relationship with Ehan but before getting their permission for wedding, Ehan decided to tell them the truth.
When others couldn’t get him convinced not to do that, Akash also admitted his involvement in that dare.
This only took Akash and Ehan to get another slap from Zohan and some complications in getting his approval for the wedding of Naira and Ehan.
Later he approved seeing their remorse and Ehan’s love for Naira.
Naira’s POV
After Two Months
It was just two days now till my wedding. Akash and Alina were all busy with the arrangements, shopping and so on but they weren't allowing me to do any work let alone going to office.
As after announcing our wedding, the journalists started chasing us around. And I hated to get this type of attention.
That day later at night I suddenly woke up and felt somewhat hungry. To get something to eat, I forwarded towards the kitchen.
Eating some noddles when I got back to my room after almost 15 minutes, my phone was ringing. Sensing who could be it, a smile crept on my lips as I reached the phone. As expected, it was Ehan.
"Hey!" I said in an excited sing song way.
"Why are you still awake? Lights of your room are on." Ehan sounded concerned which got me smile more.
"Finding nothing to do, I slept almost the entire day and now I felt somewhat hungry so I just.... wait... how do you know lights are on in my room?" while answering his question, I ended up asking him being confused at last part.
"Look out of your window" he simply said.
With a frown on my face, I moved towards the window and pushed it open and looked down on the empty dark street. At a little distance from my place, a black car got into my sight and there he was leaning on it.
"What are you doing here, this late?" I smiled while waving my hand to him. It felt so good to see him after almost two days.
"Come down. I need to show you something" he said as he waved back.
"We're going somewhere?" I asked getting more excited than confused.
"Yep. But now no more questions, love. Come down." he started on with a stern voice but chuckled towards the end.
Ending the call, I threw my phone on the bed and changed my dress quickly. I thought of tying my hairs in a bun but dropped the idea and left it open and then tip toed outside the house.
Once I was out, I ran to where Ehan was standing and hugged him happily "I missed you".
He hugged me back immediately as he got uttering, “I missed you too, love.”
After some time he stepped back and opened the car door for me. As I got seated inside, he took his place on the driving seat and started the engine.
"Where are we going this late?" I asked as he kept driving through the silent streets.
"You will see." he said raising his brows and smiling.
"Till when will this news thing go on?" I was really pissed off by it now. At first I don't like getting all this attention. And here on top of that I can't go out of my house and can't even meet Ehan. It's just so irritating.
As in these two months we got really close. Life got turning to amazing for me these days.
"Till maybe our wedding. After which they will get something else to go after and leave us alone" he sighed. He also seemed irritated by the media thing.
After some 20 minutes of drive, he stopped outside of a boutique shop. I was surprised to see it still open, when it was already past mid night.
"Shouldn't it be closed till now?" I said to Ehan referring to the boutique towards which he got walking holding my hand.
"If we would have come here at day time, those crazy people would have followed and I know you hate it all so I asked my designer friend Caro to keep it open for some more time" Ehan explained as we walked inside the showroom filled with designer dresses.
"You never asked my boy, you ordered." a woman in her forties came and hugged Ehan.
Then she turned towards me and pulled me to in a hug as she got uttering, "you are prettier than he told me about you".
"Thank you." I smiled a little at her.
"Show her the gown" Ehan spoke up making her stood on her feet on the ground and moving away.
She called for me after some time and Ehan walked me to where she was adjusting something in a dress.
I gasped as she moved away and gestured me to look at the dress. It was breathtakingly beautiful. It wasn’t a normal, traditional white wedding gown but a peach coloured dress, with red small little flowers all over the chest, some even in the start of the skirt area. The gown flowed out elegantly, again the red flowers on the bottom of the dress making it look the most amazing wedding gown I had ever seen.
"Hope you liked it" Ehan whispered in my ear, snaking his arm around my waist while I stood there with my hands over my mouth and eyes wide.
"This man made me work like a maniac for just a single dress, you have to like it" Caro got uttering in a stern tone.
"I just loved it. This is far beyond beautiful." I whispered.
"Great!" Caro uttered happily and pulled me with her by my arm only to get stopped looking over at Ehan and ordering him, “You go out now. I'm gonna do the fitting, so you would better wait outside. Though you chose it, you will see her wearing this only on your wedding day."
She explained and Ehan agreed after a long argument.
It took almost an hour and lots of changes and then the dress fitting was finally done.
Ehan then dropped me home. Standing there, we chatted for some time before we bid goodbyes and then I again tiptoed into the house and then retired back to the bed.
The next two days were chaotic, with Ehan sending people at home for cake tasting and all, other wedding preparations going on, relatives visiting.
Mom and Dad were very excited about my wedding. I was missing my Mom and Dad as well. If they were alive today, they would have been very happy.
I still couldn’t believe I was getting married to Ehan whom I loved, got my heart broken and then again got back together.
Like separating then was only to get us together in a new way. And I now felt like it was the best way...

Ehan’s P.O.V.
Finally the day reached. My wedding day...
I used to think that marriage is just not a cup of tea for me and nor I ever thought of getting married given my past history. I just hated to even hear the term love or marriage.
I never thought that a dare would change my life this way. I definitely won that dare but in the way of wining it, I lost myself.
As unknowingly Naira became someone to me whom I didn’t intend to leave even if my life was about to get changed. For me to go on with my life, she was needed right beside me.
☘☘☘
The day was finally here, the most important day of every person's life. Today was the day when I would be taking vows for a life long commitment to my love without bothering to think what future was holding on.
Standing in front, I looked at my reflection in the mirror, adjusting my cuffs and moving a hand over the armani suit, I was wearing.
When I thought I was done, I turned to Mack and Rivan who were sitting in the couch in my room.
As soon as I uttered, “How am I looking, guys?”, they started shrugging off my question.
"I don't think this marriage will happen" Mack stated getting me hell shocked.
Without bothering my expression, Rivan joined him, "Neither do I. I am having a bad feeling since morning. Maybe she'll change her decision today." Mack hummed and nodded his head...
I was already being a nervous wreck. and they just fueled it for me.
I stuttered, “Wh..what?”
Rivan started, "I think you should call Naira for once. It’s going to be very humiliating if she didn't show up there."
"When you will be standing at the end of the aisle, with people waiting for the bride and what? she never came." Mack completed.
I murmured to myself, “It’s never gonna happen.”
But found myself literally calling Naira only to get the phone answered by Stella and heard her uttering, “Naira is getting ready. So don’t bother her now.” and then what?
When I tried for twice, the phone was switched off.
“What’s wrong with everyone today!” I got murmuring again.
"What are you going to answer the journalists out there, who will be waiting with their cameras ready to have a picture of you, the newly weds. Damn! What is going to happen to your reputation, Ehan!" Mack said throwing his hands in air.
Taking deep breaths, I tried to get my anger under control and uttered under my breath, “Why did I even bother to invite them here?”
But Mack heard me as I heard him uttering the very next moment, “You never invited us, Ehan.”
Glaring at them, I left the room, slumming the door shut and got downstairs. Dad was already waiting for me.
Seeing me, he got near smilingly, “Looking handsome, son. You don't how happy I am today. I can’t still believe, you are getting married today.”
I heard Mack and Rivan uttering from behind, “Neither do we.” only to get them laughing at my another glare.
"You have no idea how happy you make me today, son" Dad smiled, his face radiating his happiness.
This was the first time, I was seeing him so happy after a long time, and knowing I was the reason for his happiness made a smile crept on my lips too. I gave him a nod and he hugged me, patting my back.
Then we forwarded towards the backyard of our mansion where the ceremony was about to hold.
After a couple of minutes the backyard of our mansion started to fill with guests, all taking their seats and chatting with each other, till it was time for me to make an appearance.
The wedding planner came and informed us that the bride had finally arrived, to which Mack and Rivan seemed a bit disappointed that their prediction went wrong.
Smirking at them, I walked towards the stage, taking my place beside the wedding officiant, while they followed me and stood behind me being the groom's men.
When after waiting for few minutes, Naira wasn't anywhere to be seen. "Damn! See, she didn't come!" Mack whispered to me and this time I literally felt a sudden urge to punch him on the face getting pissed off but suddenly the music started to play and everyone turned their heads towards the entrance.
Alina walked down the aisle first, taking her place as the maid of honor. After a wait of few more seconds, the most awaited moment was finally there.
Everyone gasped, looking at Naira, as she moved towards me with tiny steps. Many of them turned towards me to see my reaction, but I was too mesmerised to pay attention to any of them.
She was staring at the ground below her feet while I was waiting for her to look up at me, so that I could see her beautiful face which would now be turned to a light shade of pink.
I felt so proud to have her as she walked with great elegance. Though it looked like a normal walk, I could feel she must be freaking from inside.
Then I saw that the man walking her down the aisle was none other than Akash. I looked at uncle Zohan who was smilingly staring at their direction.
Finally, when she reached near me, she looked up, from behind her veil, making my heart skip a beat. Giving me a small smile, she ascended the two stairs and stood in front of me.
Though I didn't wanted to move my eyes away from her gorgeous face, I turned to look at Akash who was glaring at me getting me somewhat confused.
But when he placed Naira's hand in mine, giving me a haunted look, I got it. Akash’s expression clearly showed how much Naira, the woman standing in front of me meant to him though I knew it already.
I softened my expressions and gave him a slight nod trying to assure him, he repeated my act and moved back, to take his seat among the other guests.

Author’s P.O.V.
As soon as Naira came out of the car, lights of cameras started flashing on my face, teasing my eyes. Her bare arms trembled every time someone clicked my picture.
A group of reporters encircled them. Alina and Stella helped her straightening her dress and spread the long part behind her on the ground.
The moment she stepped into the backyard, the crowd stood up from their chairs at once and applauded aloud for me and a soft music started playing.
Ehan kept staring at her standing on the stage with a smile on his face.
Naira was freaking out inside already and on top of that not wanting to fall, she focused on the ground without bothering to look around, as she walked under the aisle holding Akash’s arm.
Giving her hand in Ehan’s, Akash got down from the stage.
"You look even better than I fantasised about you" Ehan got whispering in Naira's ear getting her cheeks turning a deeper shade of red.
She didn't say anything as she stared at Ehan with a smile.
His face was gleaming under the bright lights. The masculine jawline looked sharper and firm. His dark hair looked glossy.
He was looking far way more handsome in his three-piece armani suit; white smooth, cotton shirt, black coffee skinny pants and burgundy slim fit blazer.
A happy smile was lingering on his mouth. He looked utterly happy and relaxed. He was giving her an utterly happy and contented look which got her smiling also.
The officiant started reciting the verses of the Bible loudly getting them out of their mesmerising moment and silencing the whole crowd out there.
The officiant's voice echoed around the whole place. All the guests settled down on their seats and were now silently watching the ceremony.
The officiant started uttering, "Since it is your intention to enter into the covenant of Holy Matrimony, join your right hands and declare your consent before God."
Ehan and Naira both faced each other as the officiant announced the vows for them to get taken...
"Do you, Ehan Sinha,
Take Naira Claire,
To be your wife;
To have and to hold,
From this day onward,
For better, for worse,
For richer, for poorer,
In sickness and in health.
To love and to cherish,
Till death do you apart?"
The officiant turned to Ehan getting him looked into Naira's deep brown eyes, taking a deep breath, before finally saying it "I do" with a smile that reached her Naira's lips too.
The officiant then turned to face Naira..
"Do you, Naira Claire,
Take Ehan Sinha,
To be your husband;
To have and to hold,
From this day onward,
For better, for worse,
For richer, for poorer,
In sickness and in health,
To love and to cherish,
Till death do you apart?"
Everyone was looking at her eagerly, waiting for her response.
When Naira didn’t get to utter immediately, the smile from Ehan’s face started fading away slowly only to get back there widely in the speed of light as he heard Naira saying, "I do." with a smile.
The guests stood up from their chairs and applauded aloud. Some blew whistles.
"Now exchange rings." The officiant ordered.
Ehan’s father, Kevin came out of the crowd, brought forward the rings and extended bride's ring to Ehan.
He took Naira’s hand in his, pulling it a little to him. He gave her a smile and slipped the sparkling ring in her finger.
Kevin offered Naira the groom's ring. Taking that, she slipped it in Ehan’s finger.
"Because they have exchanged their vows before God and these witnesses, have pledged their commitment to each other and have declared the same by joining hands and by exchanging rings, I now pronounce that they are husband and wife... You may now kiss the bride." Officiant gave his declaration.
Ehan came forward with a smile on his face and staring at Naira for few seconds, he pulled her closer by her waist.
“You're officially mine from this moment” whispering this into Naira's ear, he moved the veil over her head and pressed his lips over hers gently for few moments.
Once again the room got filled with guests applauding and sounds of blowing whistles.
Taking Naira’s hand in his, Ehan guided her down the stage and inside the mansion where the after party was about to start.
After the cake cutting and numerous rounds of dancing, they finally sat down at one corner of the hall, where people, one after another came and congratulated them.
"All this feels still so dreamy" they both got uttering together only to get smiling the next moment.
Ehan entwined his fingers with hers and brushed the back of Naira's hand over his lips only to get her turning crimson again...
☘☘
As they were supposed to go for their honeymoon directly after the party, Naira forwarded towards Ehan’s room with Alina and Stella to get changed.
Getting changed her clothes to an elegant floral skirt which was chosen by Alina, she again got downstairs with them.
When it was time for them to leave the hall room, Naira took the bouquet and threw it back as the girls crowded behind.
In no moment the room filled with laughter. Being somewhat confused, Naira looked back to find Stella holding that bouquet with an uttered confusion on her face as she got uttering, “Why always me?”
Another laughter filled the room.
While some of the people got teasing Stella, Ehan and Naira forwarded leaving the hall room after taking leave from them.
Blissful smiles crept on their faces as they kept staring at each other, feeling the warmth of their togetherness and thinking about their journey of getting belonged to each other happily.....
