It was Akash’s wedding party which was going on somewhat smoothly but it got turning into an entirely hurtful moment for Ehan.
Naira left the hall room making him felt like nobody and the rest of them speechless.
On top of that when Ehan got uttering about him being a loser, it got shocked but more like hurt his friends as they felt his broken voice for the first time ever.
Mack got turning to face Rivan and Akash by turn. Their expression held similarity.
When Ehan left the hall room, Mack got uttering to Rivan, “He can’t be left alone now.” and then trying to assure Akash that they would handle it, not to bother him as it was his wedding day after all, they left behind Ehan.
They kept calling his name but Ehan chose to ignore it or it might not have gotten into his hearing as his mind wasn’t functioning anymore.
Without bothering to look back for once, Ehan got in his car and left. Rivan and Mack looked at each other and then rushed to Mack’s car.
Mack got the driving seat and got uttering as Rivan hurried to the seat beside him, “Call Ehan.” and started driving following Ehan’s car.
As expected Ehan didn’t answer their calls and at some point the number wasn’t available anymore as Rivan spoke up after trying for few times, “Either he switched off his phone or might be battery dead.”
When Ehan started driving his car like in full speed, they lost him out of our sight but they couldn’t get themselves to stop considering their Ehan’s situation who was there for them in need always. This thought got Mack pressed the accelerator to catch up to him.
But they couldn’t catch up to him and after few minutes a loud car screeching sound filled the air as well as got into their hearing. They panicked and looked at each other but didn’t stop though.
But when the car of Ehan got into their sight, Mack stopped his car with a jerk. It took few moments for them to get it registered in their mind what actually happened a minute earlier.
By the time they got it, they were already out of their car, running towards the motionless cars in front of them and uttering loudly, “Ehan”
Naira’s P.O.V.
Stella on her knees with a bouquet of flower in hand in front of Ehan who stood with a smiling face. The next scenario..it could be guessed by anyone. Still everyone chose to concentrate on them.
But I just couldn’t handle it anymore and forwarded towards my room, slowly like almost forcing myself to take every step forward and not letting myself to look back.
Getting back to my room, I stood by the window, looking at the sky blankly. Before I used to search stars there but today couldn’t as the my vision started becoming blur. Tears got threatening to come out any moment.
While trying to brace myself, I blinked for few times not allowing the tears to roll down while thinking in mind, “Wasn’t it what I actually wanted! Moving on from my past by refusing Ehan in every manner to enter in my life. So I did it. I made him go away. He left forever and became someone else's. I did what I wanted, right?”
I wanted to hear from within that what I did was the right thing to do but nothing came and in the very next moment, I heard Stella uttering, “Are you feeling happy now?”
I turned to her being all shocked. I didn’t expect her to be here not at now at least after whatever was happening. She should have been with Ehan. With this thought, I looked behind her expecting Ehan to enter next but nothing like that happened.
On top of that Stella got uttering all this. At some point I sat on the bed with a thud.
Stella spoke up again, “Times changes, so does people, so does our situations. They realize they were wrong as they become more mature with time. A bad person doesn't always remain bad. We should appreciate him if he musters courage to apologize and repent for his mistakes with a thought that you're not a saint either.”
Hearing Stella’s words, my heart got heavy.
All this time I kept ignoring my heart and kept listening to my mind not to get hurt again. I kept convincing myself he didn’t love me. He was just trying to mess with my heart once again.
I remembered how his eyes were giving me a pleading look, but my stupid impulsiveness ignored all the hints with my insecurities and fears being so strong.
All that time, I knew my rational part of the brain tried to find any flaw or any doubt about him that would give me a good excuse to prove myself, my instincts right.
I kept believing what I wanted to believe. I saw what I wanted to see. I was so focused on my assumptions that I didn't pay attention to the actual truth.
I thought there could be nothing between us now. Ehan destroyed it all. But today I understood it was me who did it this time once for all.
The fury in me blinded my rationality. I should have listened to him. I stood up on my feet, feeling suffocated and sinking into my own guilt and regrets, "I'm so stupid."
Stella got uttering, “It’s not late, Naira. Talk to him. Speak your mind. He will understand you.”
I turned to her only to get a hopeful look from her but I couldn’t get myself to be hopeful after ignoring him like no more.
His face covered with hurt expression, eyes filled with grief, guilt, remorse got flashing in front of my eyes.
His pleadings got buzzing in my mind, “Ira, I love you. Please give me a second chance.”
On top of this, a strangely bad vibe popped in my heart like there was no way I was going to listen him saying to me, “Ira, I love you.” again...
No.. I couldn’t let that happen. I need to meet him. I need to talk to him.
I didn’t want to regret all my life that I didn’t even try. Thinking like this, I was about to get out of my room to meet him but got stopped as Stella got uttering as she stood up, “Where are you going? Ehan isn't here. He has already left.”
I gave her a helpless look being all clueless of what to do now.
As soon as she got uttering, “Call him.” , my eyes immediately wandered all around the room on their own only to get stopped when they caught the sight of my phone which was on the bed. I reached for it in a rush and unlocked it.
I dialled his number with trembling fingers and uttering under my breath, “Ehan please, for once pick up the phone.” put it on my ear only to get an electronic voice came to my hearing, “The number you are trying to contact is unreachable.”
It irritated me to the core.
Though I tried for few times, the response was the same which made me go restless as some disturbing thoughts made their way all of a sudden to my mind...
