Chapter 33: Chapter 33

Naira’s P.O.V.

Hearing Dad's cheerful voice, I couldn’t say otherwise and agreed to get back home the next day. If I would say something, this would lead our plan of years to get all destroyed.

Alina had become a good friend of mine and she loved Akash as well. Their wedding was decided to get hold by the end of this month.. Lately being all busy with office work and Ehan, I just forgot it all.

"I can’t be this much selfish." uttering this under my breath, I made my way to bed after sending a text to Stella that I would be leaving tomorrow as she said she would also get back home with me.

The next morning I woke up hearing my the sound of my phone. Without bothering to check the caller ID, I put the phone on silent and tried to get some more sleep.

After sometime I heard a knock on my door. Lazily I opened my eyes but didn’t get to the door immediately rather kept thinking who could be it.

Right then I heard the person uttering my name as she knocked again. It was Stella. What was she doing here! With a frown on my face, I made it to the door.

As soon as I opened the door, she barged in as she got uttering, “What took you so long to open the door? Anyways are you done packing?”

I was being clueless what she was talking about and uttered, “Hmm?” only to get her irritated as she got uttering, “Aren't you leaving today?”

At the mention of leaving, the matter immediately jogged my mind. I checked the time and rushed to washroom. Packing my bag, I got ready. Stella spoke up, "Let's go. It's not much time left for the flight now."

I thought of Ehan for once but then shrugged of that thought.

Nodding at Stella, we both got out of my room and got into the elevator. Thinking of Akash and Alina’s marriage, a smile crept on my lips. Stella got asking seeing my smile, “What's the matter?"

I answered her with the same smiling face, “Akash is getting married." which got her smiling too as she uttered excitedly, “Oh, that's great, yaar.”

When we reached the lobby, Stella got uttering, “Hey, you here?" so excitedly that I couldn’t help following her gaze only to get irritated finding Ehan standing in front of me.

Ehan seemed to get quite confused but when Stella mentioned about Hina's reception function, he remembered her and as he asked her how she was, Stella uttered while smiling coyly, “I am fine. It’s so nice to see you again.”

I casted her a glare involuntarily and then forwarded towards the reception without bothering them. Completing the formalities when I got back, she was still gossiping with Ehan all smilingly.

Being all irritated, I spoke up, “Let’s go. We are getting late.” and forwarded towards the entrance. Standing by the road side, I looked behind for once and found Stella with them. Not only with Ehan but she was gossiping with Mack and Rivan also. Seeing them it looked like they All knew each other since long back.

Seeing them with their luggage and all, it was clear they were also leaving today. Bracing myself together, I spoke up when they got near, “Stella, you go with them, I will reach in time. I have forgotten something in my room. I am going to get that.”

Saying this, I rushed towards the entrance without giving anyone any chance to interrupt me. It was just a lie though. I didn’t just want to see whatever was happening there. For some reason, I wasn’t feeling good about this at all.

After standing inside for a while when I thought they would have left by now, I got outside and I was right. No one got into my sight which automatically got my mood off.

What actually was I expecting! I wondered.

I stood by the road and stopped a taxi. When I was about to enter, I heard Ehan uttering from behind, “Can I go with you?”

It got me all startled but masking that, I spoke up, “Didn't you go with them?” as I looked around for others. He got near as he uttered, “No. Me too forgot something in the hotel. So got to get that.”

His voice and expression on face was telling me, I got caught with my lies. But without bothering that, I avoided his gaze and spoke up, “You should have gone with them.” and entered into the car.

Though I made it obvious, that he could go with me but he remained standing and asked me again, “You didn’t answer. Can I go with you?"

While trying to remain casual, I spoke up, “Yes. Get in the car.” as I knew he wasn't going to make it easy for me to slip away but like he decided to piss me off, he smiled broadly as he got into the car and uttered, “Thank you.”

His smile made me remembered the time when I first saw him smiling. His smile used to warm my heart. “No no. Don’t go there.” I mentally snapped at myself.

Both of us were all silent until the car kept passing by a beach. I was staring at that and was about to lose myself remembering that time but got interrupted as Ehan got uttering, “Do you remember the beach time, rain and all?”

I immediately looked forward and uttered, “No.”

He seemed to utter something again but I spoke up smilingly, “Stella is a nice girl. Don’t you think so?”

He knitted his brows as he spoke up, “So? What should I do?”

I uttered maintaining the same smiling face, “Nothing. Just thought of telling you. She is a really nice girl.”

He got silent this time so was I. All the way to the airport, we didn’t talk after that at all. I didn’t know what he was thinking but I wasn’t feeling good thinking all this which I didn’t want to admit. Not even to myself.

In the plane Stella and I was supposed to sit next to my seat but in between she spoke up, "Naira, would you mind if I exchange seat with Mack?”

I turned to Mack for once only to find him sitting beside Ehan. Though I wanted to say otherwise but got uttering, ”No. I am fine.”

She smilingly got near them. When I found Ehan turning to me, I looked away immediately. After few moments Mack came by my side and took the empty seat. I smilingly nodded at him as he got uttering, “Is Stella your friend?"

He turned to them for once and then gave me a questioning look as he asked, “She seems to be interested in Ehan. Doesn’t she know about Ehan and you?”

I answered in a serious tone, “There is nothing between Ehan and me that she should know.” that got Mack all silent and then leaning against my seat, I closed my eyes wishing it should be the truth only...
