After Three Years

At Sinha Electronics

A young man of late twenties was sitting on a chair in his cabin with a stern face, checking files for the meeting scheduled after half an hour.

Rayan, his PA was standing in the cabin and was trying to say something but seeing his stern face wasn’t being able to make it like always.

At some point, that man looked up at Rayan and uttered coldly, “What? You want to say something?”

Rayan got stammering, “No Sir.”

With a frowning face, that man got uttering with the same stern face, “Then what are you waiting for? Go, arrange the meeting.”

That cold-hearted, stern-faced young man was no other than Ehan. With time he got cold to colder by heart for some unknown reason to everyone.

Nodding at him, Rayan left the cabin immediately and forwarded towards the staff.

Right then Aman, a young man of late twenties entered the office building with an all tensed face. Seeing him like that, Neha another employee spoke up, “Hey, all good?”

Aman spoke up with the same face, “Didn’t get to meet Mr. Mehra even this time.”

This time Neha got what was the problem and uttered, “What! It’s already our 5th attempt. Still no?”

Aman spoke up as he sat on his chair, “His PA clearly said they don’t want to do any business with us.”

Some other employees got near and started talking in a lower tone.

One of them spoke up at some point, “But why? Ours is the leading company in Electronics in this country and also is in the top list for even in international ones. Then why are they being like this!

Aman spoke up, “They are no less in their field of Marketing and Advertising. But I seriously have no idea why are they being like this as this deal would create a win_win situation for both of these companies.”

Neha spoke up then, “What about we try for another company?”

Aman spoke up, “Have you gone mad? Don’t you know our MD? He needs perfection. He will allow nothing but the best just.”

Neha spoke up then, “Then what should we do?”

Right then Rayan, the P.A. of the MD got there and hearing them spoke up, “Let our MD handle this. He will get them convinced for this deal for sure by any means."

Rayan spoke up getting panicked then, “But Rayan, if I tell Him that I have failed to convince them, I will be done from my job that moment itself.”

Everyone got silent at that as they all knew their MD, Ehan Sinha very well. The merciless and cold hearted billionaire.

He doesn’t take no as an answer. The moment he gets to know anyone failing to do his job, he fires him from his job that moment itself.

Their track of silence got broken by the ringing sound of the phone of Rayan. Seeing the caller ID, Rayan immediately answered the call and uttered, “Sir..”

“You come to my cabin and tell everyone to be in the meeting room in 10 minutes.” with this one sentence, Ehan cut off the line.

Rayan looked at the other employees and spoke up, “Be at the meeting room in 5 minutes.” and left from there.

Letting out a sigh, Aman followed others to the meeting room.

Rayan entered the cabin after knocking. Seeing him, Ehan spoke up, “What’s this?” as he forwarded a file to him and added, “Why this contract is not signed yet? Who was in charge of getting signed this contract?”

Rayan spoke up, “Sir, actually..” only to get cut off as Ehan got uttering, “I asked who was in charge, Rayan.”

Rayan spoke up, “Aman.” and the next moment, Ehan got uttering again coldly, “You go and send him in.”

After few minutes, Aman was in front of Ehan keeping his head down praying desperately not to get fired at the least.

Pointing at the file, Ehan spoke up, “I saw for the latest product of ours, we still haven’t signed a contract with any Marketing and Advertising company and where you were in charge of this. Why is so?”

Aman spoke up with an all afraid face, “Sir, I tried my best but couldn’t reach the MD of that company.”

Ehan spoke up, “You tried your best but still the result is zero. So in short, you are not capable of your work.”

Seeing himself at the edge of losing his job, Aman tried to speak up again, “Sir, please. I really tried my best but the PA of Mr. Mehra is blocking us. He said they didn’t want to do any business with us.”

It was the first time for a company to say something like this and this made Ehan uttered angry as well as confused and he ended up uttering, “Which Company?”

Aman answered immediately, “Mehra Industries of Marketing and Advertising.”

This name hit Ehan’s mind and he threw his next question immediately, “Who is the MD now?”

As soon as Aman got uttering, “Akash Mehra.”, Ehan frowned.

He got uttering under his breath, “Akash is back here! Since when?” but Aman heard him and uttered in a lower tone, “I don’t know that Sir.”

Ehan looked at him confusedly and then got uttering, “You go. I will handle this deal.”

Shocked would be an understatement for Aman as got out of his cabin immediately while thanking him in mind.

Though he was grateful but got all confused with Ehan's behaviour.

As it was very unlikely of him to let Aman stay in his job after getting failed...

At Mehra Industries

After completing a meeting, Akash got into his cabin followed by his PA, Sameer. He sat on his chair and leaning against the chair, he closed his eyes after uttering, “Sam, you can leave.”

Sameer was about to say something but got stopped seeing his all-tired face.

Giving it a thought, Sameer nodded at Akash and left from there.

When it was almost evening, Akash was still working. At some point, he heard Sameer as well as someone else  uttering together, “Sir, you can’t do this.”

Being somewhat confused he got up from his chair and was about to get steps towards outside of his cabin but got stopped being all startled as Ehan entered his cabin followed by Sameer and Hamlet.

Seeing Akash, Sameer got uttering, “Sir, we tried to stop but Mr. Sinha forcefully.. ”

Interrupting him at this point, Akash got uttering, “It’s okay. You both leave.” whereas Ehan just kept staring at the expression of Akash.

When they were about to leave, Ehan spoke up, “No, stay.”, they confusedly turned to Ehan and Akash by turn.

Ehan forwarded towards Akash and hugged him. If he wasn’t so excited seeing Akash, he would have understood earlier the feeling wasn’t mutual.

Finding nothing to do, Akash stood still as Ehan let go of him and uttered, “When did you come back? Why didn’t you contact me?”

These words were and the friendly questions got Sameer and Hamlet all confused.

Before Akash could reply something, Ehan spoke up again, “Do you know, my company has been getting failed to sign a contract with your company? Someone from your company is blocking it.”

He said the last sentence pointing towards Sameer and Hamlet.

Being somewhat startled, they turned to Akash.

Akash spoke up with a casual tone but with serious expression, “It's not them but me who blocked it.”

Shocked would be an understatement for Ehan.

Before he could say something, Akash spoke up still turning to Ehan, “You guys leave.”

Sameer and Hamlet left immediately. Ehan just uttered, “Why?”

Akash spoke up with the same face, “As you heard, we don’t want to do any business with you.”

Ehan looked at Akash with disbelieving eyes and uttered, “Akash!”

Before Akash could say anything, they heard someone uttering from behind, “Akash, are you done or I should leave early for home?”

This voice just crossed Ehan’s heart and he turned behind immediately only to get shocked as it was no other than her.

Naira...

Giving them a glance, Naira got uttering again, “Oh, my apologies. You have a guest, I see.”

Ehan was still looking at Naira who didn’t cast him another glance.

Akash spoke up making Ehan more confused, “I will be late sweetie. You take my car and go home.”

Nodding at Akash, Naira left the cabin without turning to Ehan for once.

Ehan kept staring at the gate for few moments and then turned to Akash as Akash spoke up, “I think you got your answer why we shouldn’t do business together.”

Without bothering his words, Ehan just asked Akash the question which was going on in his mind, “Who is Naira to you?”
