CHAPTER 26: HIS DYING

TRISHA

I could not move where I was now because of what I heard, the doctor came out and he saw me crying. He put his finger on his mouth to signal me to be quiet.

I nodded and he walked away, I step backward but I bumped someone in my back.

“ ga-gab?” I called hoarsely. Until now I can’t believe what I heard.

“ miss Trisha” she called me called and I think he heard too what the doctor said.

“ his-his dying” I covered my mouth so callix wouldn’t hear me crying

“ miss Trisha can we talk outside” I calmed myself and nodded.  Followed him outside.

“ you know when I first met sir callix that was the day he knelt to your illness, we came from the hospital because he was stabbed and when he woke up that night he went out immediately without thinking that he’s wearing the hospital gown and that night he keeps saying that his wife is waiting for him” I am stunned by what gab said and my tears flow.

“ sir callix was seriously hurt that day and all he wants is to save you but you didn’t save him, it’s good that sir Diego came and he is the one who saves sir callix for a living. Sir callix wouldn’t thought have that he had any sympathy that day” I saw that his tears dripping.

“ on the day that we flew to other countries he studied and work hard, sometimes we find him awake at dawn, and sometimes when he losses hope he looks into your picture and suddenly he gets energetic again. There was a day when he got sick with a high fever, his calling your name and his calling himself worthless and we can’t do anything but felly sorry to sir callix” he still crying.

“ I never imagined that sir callix will die, his just starting building his self from scratch, and now why is that life is unfair to him, he suffered a lot and he had so much pain” he cried more.

“ I don’t want him to die full of sadness and pain in his heart because he lived a life full of pain he suffered, he deserves to live”

While he was saying what happened to callix, I couldn’t stop crying. He went through a lot that caused him to pan. Callix doesn’t deserve this, he has to live a happy.

“ miss Trisha, sir callix is waiting for you now. Please tell him that just going to get money to buy that what he said” I nodded and smiled at him, I get inside already at the hospital.

I took a deep breath before entering his room, I have to show that I don’t have any idea of his pain.

“ Mr. Devera” my tears immediately rolled away so I pinched my hand to stop dripping.

“ Trisha” he smiled.

“ Mr. Devera I’m here to ask about our company, I know that dad talked to your dad but he said that we need to talk to you, please Mr. Devera not our company. That company is the only one we have or just tell me what you want I’m willing to give” I looked at him.

“ all right, I’m not going to take down your company but in one condition” whatever the condition is, it’s okay just for the company.

“ Alex and you are going with me on my vacation” I couldn’t believe what he said.

“ I’ll pay everything so you don’t worry anything as long as you both come” I smiled.

“ Okay, Mr. devera, thank you. Thank you so much” I hugged him and he hugged me back but it was tight.

“ callix” he doesn’t want to let go of my hug.

“ please just this one,” he said softly but felt something in my shoulder was being wet, he was crying. I let him hugged me and cried on my shoulder, I felt his heartbreak that makes me more cry.

Your life can stop here callix, you still have hope and we will be going to find ways. Now that you have a family so you must live a long life.

Knock knock

We break our hug and I fix myself then I walked to the door and opened it.

“ sir here is your food” gab came.

“ ah go ahead, please arrange it on the table for us to eat, Trisha joins us” he stood up and came to the table then he looked at me.

“ join us,” he said while smiling so even though I was embarrassed I still came and sat in front of him.

“ gab can you tell later to lian about the demolition to cancel it” I stopped eating and he was starring at me.

“ Okay sir,” gab said.

“ and I want you and lian to come with me including Alex and Trisha to have a vacation” gab looked at me and he nodded to what callix said.

“ where do you want to go, Trisha?” I stopped eating and looked at him.

“ anywhere I am not choosy, “ I said and he nodded.

“ then let’s go to Korea,” I thought that we going to have a vacation here, in the Philippines but it was another country.

“ Okay, no problem I’m just going to tell Alex and just tell me what day we were leaving,” I said and I ate cake.

“ next week” gab and I looked at each other, why does he seem in a hurry.

“ okay ill tell Alex”

I don’t know what he was thinking right now but this vacation will help him but now I am going to help him? How I am going to ease the pain in his heart.
