Chapter 7: Chapter 7
Dylan has become busier; he barely sleeps a wink because of the papers and reports his Mother designated. Dylan knew his Mother was testing his accountability since it is one of the core values a boss should possess.
Dylan adjusted his necktie and let out a heavy sigh. He glimpsed at the wall clock and noticed that it was already dawn.
He peeked outside his office's window, the darkness flickered across the ground, and there was still no trace of Madison. Since Dylan became more engaged with his training, he hasn't seen her for some time. Dylan tapped her fingers on his desk until he finished reading the pile of papers presented in front of him. Some were proposals that should be amended immediately, while some were fine but needed to redraft and made the proposal detailed and concrete.
Dylan finished his work until evening came. He stretched his body since he needed an excellent slack after sitting inside his office all day and working his ass off. "Maybe I should take a dip," Dylan mumbled as he picked up his phone and checked some of the messages from Lady Sussane. Sussane was his Mother's Secretary; She is an expert in handling business and assistance.
Dylan changed his clothes. He's wearing simple black swimming trunks, leaving his exposed six-pack-toned abs. Placing a towel on his shoulder, he stormed outside his office and headed to the swimming pool. Some of the workers on the Mansion were stiffened when they saw him coming out of his office after working days without a break.
While letting himself feel the cold trails of water in his body, Dylan couldn't help but think of Madison; his heart couldn't help but yearn for her presence. Her laughter and those round eyes that every time she looked at him, her eyes reached his soul, and her smile brought calmness to his system and took away all his burdens in life.
"It has been days since I saw her face…" he murmured, peeking at his reflection in the water.
Madison's smile, Madison's naïve moments, and the time when she was delighted. Dylan's
eyes widened as he palmed his mouth and felt his cheeks warming. He needs to see Madison. Without her presence, he's going to lose his mind.
Dylan noticed the Maid named Emily passing the hallway; the Maid seemed in a good
mood while humming as she folded the sheets in her hand. "You there!" Dylan
blurted with an average tone.
"Oh, Abs—Aw!" Emily seemed surprised that made her caught off guard as the Maid's eyes landed on Dylan's exposed chest, and she tripped in panic.
Emily immediately stood up and fixed herself as he bowed multiple times in Dylan's direction. "My Apologies, Young Master!"
Dylan cleared his throat and nodded, "Can you ask Madison to come here and bring me
some food?"
Emily's eyes twinkled and chirped, "Yes, Master! Please wait a minute!" She said while
grinning from ear to ear, making Dylan's brow furrowed.
"Are the maids here trained to be part of amazons? It's quite weird." He yelled as he glanced at the running Maid while holding the sheets as if she was dwelling with wilds.
While on the other hand, Madison was busy arranging the Madam's favorite flower when
Emily appeared in front of her while puffing for air, catching her breath.
"M-Madison…Hah…ha…"
"Easy there, Emily, try to calm your breathing first." Emily held Madison's wrist as she placed the sheets on the floor and breathed for air. Due to Emily's excitement to tell
Madison that their Young Master asked her to call her and prepared Dylan some
food.
"Were you okay now?" Madison asked as she crossed the distance between them and
patted Emily's back to ensure she was alright.
Emily let a long, audible breath and grinned. "When I walked towards the hallway, I
saw the Young Master!" Emily started that made Madison remember Dylan's handsome face and a smile that could melt a bar of chocolate.
"Oh! Madi, you are blushing?" Emily snickered, which made Madison's heartbeats
quicken and dart away.
"H-huh? N-no… it's just…because of the heat." She whispered, trying to calm her beating heart. It had been days since the last time she saw Dylan, and Madison couldn't lie but admit that she had gotten used to her Young Master's presence.
"Oh? Really? And pigs can fly Madison."
Emily cleared her throat and spoke again, "Anyway, the Young Master wanted you to
bring him food, and he was resting in the swimming pool, and please, ready your eyes." Emily tapped Madison's shoulder, which made her question Emily's actions; there was a hint of the malicious concept behind her words.
When Emily left her clueless, Madison strode into the kitchen and cooked Beef and Mushroom with mashed potato and an Iced Tea as a quencher to ease Dylan's thirst. While preparing Dylan's food, she couldn't help but try to understand what Emily's words were before leaving her.
Madison hummed while holding the tray of Dylan's food; the lights inside the Mansion
were already switched on, indicating that it would be a long night. When she finally reached the direction towards swimming pool, her mouth fell open when she saw Dylan, who was dumping the towel on his tanned skin. Madison almost lost control of the tray that made a little sound and caught Dylan's attention.
Dylan's eyes widened. He was frozen in his spot. Seeing Madison holding a tray of food
for him, he couldn't contain this too much happiness that he was feeling right now. Slowly, his lips curved into a smile. "You are here…." He murmured and tried to divert his attention to the bodies of water in front of him.
Shocked, Madison cleared her throat and came back from her reverie when she just
realized that she had been staring at Dylan for too long. "G-Good Evening, Young Master."
Dylan seemed like a teenager who halted when he heard Madison's soft and relaxing voice; how long has it been since she spoke in front of him? It feels like years since the last time he saw her.
"Eve…" he replied, without trying to lift his head to look in Madison's direction.
Madison crossed their distance, avoiding Dylan's gazes. She put the food on the Mini-table near the pool. Madison bit her lower lip, trying not to glance at his exposed toned abs. It was the second time she had seen Dylan half-naked; the first was on her first day on the job.
"I heard from Emily that the Young Master wanted me to prepare his meal. My apologies if I made you wait." Dylan sat on the chair made of steel. Madison got the towel on his shoulder and dried his hair while digging the food.
"How's the Young Master's Day? Have you been well?" Madison asked as the nervousness she was feeling at the moment subsided, and the feeling of relaxation remained.
Dylan shoved the food and took a bite of the mushroom before responding, "Hmn, it was fine. I have to deal with the bunches of papers inside my office. Thanks to your advice, I manage to accomplish my tasks."
Madison nodded and flashed a warm smile in front of Dylan. The
ambiance around them was quiet and relaxing. Dylan was stealing glances at
Madison, who was busy drying his hair; how naïve of the Maid not to notice his
glances.
When Dylan stole a glance again, he felt a tingling sensation when Madison was distracted and only looking at him with her beautiful pair of eyes.
"Why are you looking at me like that, Madison?" Dylan teased as he drew her closer to him by holding Madison's wrist.
Madison blinked as her cheeks turned crimson red, "W-what? I was thinking of something!" she responded impulsively, making Dylan's eyes glint in bliss.
"You are thinking of something while staring at me? How should I take that?" Dylan asked, holding out his palm.
"It's j-just a slip of the tongue Y-young Master, don't pay attention to my words," Madison uttered while calming her beating heart, finding any reason to use as her escape route.
Dylan drank the Iced Tea as he peeked at her, "Wasn't it Deja vu?" Dylan taunted as he slowly realized that he was half-naked when Madison saw him, and that was the first time Madison saw a man's body.
"Young Master!" Madison yelled in surprise; her cheeks heated up that could be compared to tomatoes. Dylan laughed loudly while glancing at Madison, who seemed uncomfortable. But Dylan wanted more; he wanted to see Madison's different reactions and emotions.
"Come on, Stare Madison, that's an exclusive scenery for you to reminisce." Dylan mocked, crossing Madison's direction; while Madison was moving backward, Dylan was moving forward.
In her maid uniform, Madison gulped in fidgets, "Kya!" Madison shouted when Dylan's strong pair of hands encircled her waist and pulled her down; she felt his hands securing her. Madison kept making cute clangors due to her fear of drowning while Dylan laughed loudly to his heart's content.
"I'm drowning! I'm drowning! Save me—Huh?" Madison cried out but suddenly stopped when she could feel the cold tiles of the swimming pool.
"That was the funniest side of you that you showed me, Madison…Ha…Hahaha!" Dylan mocked while slowly releasing his hands-on Madison's waist.
Madison pouted for a moment until a smile lifted from her mouth, followed by a burst of laughter. Madison wished this moment wouldn't end because she knew they would have difficulty meeting each other after this.
"Madison,"
"Yes?" Madison asked while combing her wet hair.
"I'm…lad…ou…exist," Dylan murmured. Madison's forehead ceased because Dylan's words were hard to perceive. She couldn't understand what he had just spoken.
"Pardon? I think I missed it, Young Master." Madison said cluelessly on her face, making Dylan's hand anchored on her hair and mess with it.
When Dylan got out of the pool, he extended his hand to assist Madison. When Madison finally got out, Dylan couldn't help but gulp as he felt his body sweat in the heat.
Madison's perfect curves were evident under her Maid uniform; Dylan found Madison smoking hot in a wet look, so he immediately grabbed the towel on the table and wrapped it around her as he walked away from Madison. He felt like he was burned by the fire that ignited inside him when he saw Madison in her wet look; her body was perfect.
"What the fuck was that? Come to your senses, you asshole!" They didn't mind the maids trying to ask him what happened. He barged inside his room and went inside his bathroom.
He needs to clarify what he feels towards Madison. Doesn't he know if it was love or lust? He is happy whenever she is around but sees himself feeling the desire when he stares at the Maid's body.
"Damn it!" Dylan cursed loudly as he left himself under a cold shower.
He doesn't know what he feels towards Madison; Dylan needs to think of a way and sort out what he truly feels because if he continues unaware of his feelings, he will be forever stuck with uncertainty.
