Chapter 42: Chapter 42

Having a good night's rest, Madison woke up with a sweet smile on her lips after recalling what happened last night. She unconsciously held her lips. Madison still couldn't forget the kiss they shared last night and how it brought her so much joy. She stared at the couch where Dylan was sleeping soundly. His position was bent a little in a way to fit his body on a small couch.

Madison slowly got up and approached him. Then, she kneeled in front of him, careful not to make any noise. Dylan was handsome even when he was sleeping. She couldn't help but caress his face to ensure she wasn't just dreaming and that he was with her. However, Madison was still not satisfied, and the next thing she knew, she found herself bringing her face closer to his and leaning down to kiss him. She didn't know when she became so addicted to kissing his lips.

As Madison touched her lips to his, she froze when the supposed sleeping person suddenly moved to hug her and bring her body closer to his. She blushed in embarrassment. It was as if she was a kid caught stealing a cookie. She was about to withdraw her lips from his when Dylan unexpectedly grabbed her nape to deepen their kiss. Like a fast learner, she just closed her eyes and imitated how he kissed her like last night.

Her eyes were still closed when the kiss ended, feeling dizzy. After some time, Madison opened her eyes, and Dylan's loving gaze and grinning face met her.

"That was a perfect morning greeting from you, Darling," He huskily said. Madison shyly smiled at him, her face burning.

"I thought you were still asleep. Why are your lips always tempting me to kiss them?" Madison complained to cover the shyness she was feeling. Dylan laughed softly.

"Is that so, Darling? Good for me, since you're the one who's initiating the kiss, I don't need to do so. It always makes me nervous yet excited whenever I kiss you, Darling," Dylan said. Madison looked at him in disbelief. She didn't expect that Dylan would always feel this way whenever he kissed her. She thought only women would feel shy and embarrassed in matters like this.

"Huh? Will men also feel nervous and excited? Eh, I'm not doing anything, right?" Madison asked in surprise, making Dylan's smile widen even more.

"Even if you don't do anything, Darling, with words that come out of your mouth, you always make me happy and listen unconditionally. It's not just women who became nervous and excited, Darling. We, men, also feel that way. Especially when the woman we love is so beautiful and captivating," Dylan said in a low yet baritone voice and stroked her face. "I love you, Darling, and I hope that this is how I always wake up: with your lovely face so close to me and you kissing me."

Madison smiled, her eyes shining with love, "I love you too, Darling."

Dylan pulled her down to spoon her and fit themselves on the small couch. Madison giggled as the space on the couch was so narrow that she was about to fall, but Dylan hugged her closer and wouldn't let her fall.

"Darling?" Madison called hesitantly after some time.

"Why, Darling?" Dylan tenderly asked as he looked down at her and hugged her even tighter.

"It's because… It's just that…." Madison hesitated, not knowing how to phrase her question well. When she saw him frowning, she grinned at him and made peace signs with her fingers.

"What are you going to say, Darling?" he curiously asked. Hence, Madison lowered her nose to his chest and sniffed him before asking, "Can you tell me why you smell so good Darling?"

Not waiting for Dylan to respond, Madison inquired again, "And why is your chest so hard?" and innocently touched his muscular chest and pinched him here and there.

"Don't do that, Darling," Dylan struggled to say, his breath erratic. Madison looked at him and saw his eyes closed.

"Do what, Darling? Is it wrong for me to touch it?" she asked in a surprised voice and continued to touch his hard chest down to his Adonis-like abs. She giggled as she thought it felt so good to touch it.

"Fuck! Uggghhh!" Madison was stunned when she heard him suddenly curse in a very restrained voice. She didn't know why Dylan was acting like this.

"Is there something wrong with you, Darling?" Feeling worried, Madison quickly asked, but Dylan just shook his head and stood up while muttering something under his breath.

"You're driving me crazy, Darling," Dylan stated in Italian, making Madison raise her eyebrow at him. Having studied Italian for the past six months, she could easily understand what he said.

"Are you teasing me, Darling?" she questioned in a serious tone.

Seeing the sudden change in her expression, Dylan looked at her curiously and answered earnestly, "I'm not teasing you, Darling. I'm serious."

"Heh, what are you saying that I'm driving you crazy? Hmmmp! I don't have a car, so how can I 'drive' you crazy?" Madison questioned and furrowed her brows when Dylan burst out laughing.

"What's funny?" she asked and raised her eyebrows again when Dylan didn't answer and just laughed loudly.

Dylan stopped laughing and hugged Madison even tighter as he whispered in her ear, "No, Darling, what I mean by saying, 'you're driving me crazy,' is I love you so much."

"Maybe you're just fooling me, Dylan," Madison gave him a disbelieving look.

"Of course not, Darling. You just didn't understand what I meant by what I said. I'm not talking literally when I said you are driving, like driving a car. Believe me, Darling, it's not like that," Dylan explained quickly and tightened his hug on Madison, scared she wouldn't believe him.

Madison tapped his arms around her and whispered, "Wait a minute, I can't breathe anymore, Darling." Hearing this, Dylan quickly apologized and loosened his grip on Madison but still did not let go.

"I love you so much, Darling. No matter what happens, you are the only one in my heart, the one I will choose to love and no one else," Dylan vowed and smiled at her, making Madison smile.

"I love you so much too, Darling. No one will replace you here," Madison said and pointed to her chest. When she saw Dylan looking at her lips and lowering his face towards her, she closed her eyes and waited for his lips to capture hers.

As their kiss deepened, Madison suddenly felt that their atmosphere became hot. Dylan pulled her on top of him and continued to kiss her and caress her back. Though she couldn't explain this feeling, in the next moment, Madison seemed to have lost control of herself. She caressed his chest to his abdominal muscles and deepened their kiss even more.

Lost in the sensations, Madison was brought back to reality when a hard, throbbing thing suddenly pierced her tummy. Curious, she moved her head away from him and looked at him. At first, she tried to touch it, but because Dylan was caging her in his arms, she couldn't stand up from the couch.

"What is it, Darling. What's that hard thing poking in my stomach?" Madison asked while furrowing her brows. Dylan laughed softly and just shook his head.

"Do I need to answer that, Darling?" he smilingly asked.

"Eh, how would I know what that is if you don't tell me? I can't touch it because you kept hugging me so tightly. So just tell me," Madison answered, which made Dylan laugh even more. She looked at him, wondering why he was laughing at her again. She just wanted to remove that object that was poking her. Maybe she would have removed it if he wasn't hugging her tightly.

While thinking this, Madison was taken aback when Dylan suddenly switched their position, with him on top of her. She became even more shocked after feeling the hard object now stabbing at her lower body even more.

"Waaaahhh! Take that off, Darling. It was stabbing me even more!" Madison screamed, making Dylan chuckle before going straight to the bathroom.

Madison blinked. She was left lying on the couch and staring at the bathroom door.

"Hmmmp! This man suddenly left without saying anything. Is my request that hard? I was just asking him to remove that thing," Madison pouted and glared at the bathroom door. However, as if she realized something, she nodded to herself and muttered, "Oh, maybe that's what he was doing right now: getting rid of that thing."

Coming to this conclusion, Madison got up from the couch and left their room smiling before heading to the kitchen to cook breakfast. Facing the cabinet, Madison quickly took out the pans and spatula she would use before deciding to cook the rice in the rice cooker. After that, she went to the sink and was busy cleaning the fish when suddenly someone hugged her from behind. Madison then smiled softly after Dylan kissed her on the cheek.

"I hope we're always like this, Darling. It's nice to see you first thing in the morning whenever I wake up," He whispered tenderly as he embraced her.

"Remember, Darling, and you must find a way to stop the arranged marriage before saying these things to me," Madison reminded him. Then, she continued to clean the fish she was holding. Right now, she desperately wanted to turn around and touch his face but quickly dismissed the idea because of the foul smell of fish coming from her hands. It would be a pity if this handsome man would smell like a fish, right?

Dylan wrapped his arms around me and solemnly said, "Darling, do you need to mention that thing? You should just focus on the two of us. I assure you that no wedding would go through because I would never let that happen. Trust me, Darling,"

"I know, Darling. Stay there so I can continue making our breakfast," Madison said before gently pushing Dylan away from her. However, the latter didn't budge and just continued to hug Madison from the back. Madison was powerless to stop him from doing what he wanted. Hence, she pretended he wasn't behind her as she began cooking.

Although her movements became limited, Madison just sighed and accepted her fate. She inwardly realized that she should grab the opportunity she had with him because they couldn't be together all the time. Dylan had a lot of things to take care of, and even though she wanted to help share his burden, she knew she wouldn't be much help.

As she thought of this, Madison covered the sadness by smiling brightly at him and saying, "I love you so much, Darling. I'm just here no matter what happens. I won't leave you. I promise too."

After Madison said that, she resumed her cooking with a smile on her lips. Who wouldn't be happy if the person you love the most and who makes your heart beat faster was with you and hugged you as if they were so reluctant to let you go?
