Chapter 87: Chapter 87
*
Aria woke up and found herself lying in a rather soft bed with that feeling of being lost and out of place.
There was absolutely nothing familiar about where she was. The room has just little light and couple with the fact that she could barely look past the cushion seating at the foot of her bed without straining her eyes too much.
Her eyes still feels heavy and swollen like she has been asleep for too long._the numbness within her limps were fueling her fears and causing her to wonder if she could still use them or not.
This was actually the first time she has woken up without feeling like she needed to sleep some more.
Aria knew she was far from home. The thought alone was frightening enough.
She let her eyes shut down at it own will because of how overwhelmed she felt. She has no idea how long she has been out or lying down in that room.
She couldn't tell the time even if she was asked but she could feel the buzz of panic that was starting to creep in with each breath she took.
She couldn't even strain her eyes more than she already has especially not while she was still feeling dizzy.
The last thing she remembered was getting dragged away from the hospital bed before loosing consciousness and now she woke up in a strange bed.
She tried to push herself up in a seating position but fell back against the sheet. Her limps still felt weak and wobbly against the bed. She couldn't call for help even if she wanted to. She was trapped and she knew it.
Her throat felt awfully dry and patchy with each struggle to swallow down against the rising fear. She needed to drink water before it got worst. Aria could already feel herself getting choked by her own fears.
She looked around the corner and found a jug of water seating at the table beside her bed and reached for it and quickly gulp down as much as she could before setting it back against the table.
She felt her stomach between her palms and sighed in relief. She was still pregnant. She thought to herself with a small smile. Her joy became sorrow when she remembered her husband and how worried he must have been because of her. Her entire family must be going crazy without knowing her whereabout.
She felt a bit of courage surge through her at the thought of everyone who loves her and forced herself into a seating position.
Aria knew she had to get out of there before whoever has her confined in that room returns. She pulled the sheet over and placed one feet over the edge of the bed_one at a time until both her legs were firmly placed against the floor in a seating position.
She noticed the change of clothe the moment it pooled at her feet. She doesn't remember owning such outfit and much less if she wore it herself.
It was a silk orange loose gown that hugged onto her protruding stomach perfectly which only caused her to gasp at the thought of someone seeing her bare underneath.
The fact that she woke up dressed in an expensive piece of clothing and tucked into a rather comfortable bed and not tied to a chair was startling enough.
Her eyes darted from where she sat on the bed and towards the door momentarily before she finally made a decision to leave now that she could.
She was about to stand up straight when she heard someone ruffling against the door at the other end and decided to lie back down while pretending to be asleep.
She heard the door came apart and peeped through the covers and back at the figure who stood tall by the doorway before walking towards her.
Aria found herself holding her breath in but had to stop and breathe when she noticed he had walked towards the table instead before placing a black polythene bag beside the water jug.
The figure looked at her direction as if it could feel her eyes on him for a moment before moving to walk away but stopped midway across the door and flick on the light switch instead_causing the entire room to lit up.
Aria couldn't resist the urge to look back at the figure hovering over her at this point on the bed. she opened her eyes one at a time and settled on the familiar face staring back at her with an amused expression.
She heard herself gasp in shock at the revelation. Too short of word to even say his name.
Maybe he wasn't real and she was hallucinating.
And as if he could hear her secret thought_he cocked a brow at her and chuckle a bit before nodding at her in an encouraging manner.
"Well, go ahead and say something already. I know you have a lot to ask" His voice was calm and playful.
Aria couldn't be any more confused than she already was. If she thought she has been imagining the face all along then the voice just made it worst. It was too real and uncanny to be just her imagination playing tricks with her mind.
She was too short for words that she couldn't even summon the courage to say anything. She watched with wide eyes as he covered the distance from where he stood and seat beside her on the bed.
"C'mon Aria. I know you have every right to be angry at me but just say something. Don't just keep quiet. Shout at me, hit me even but you have to stop staring at me as if I don't exist because I do and am seating right here with you" his voice a gentle plea
She took a deep breath to steady her thought a bit before settling on the most pressing question in her head.
"What the hell am I wearing?"
He cocked a brow at her as if to say 'of all the question you could have asked me, you choice to start with that?' before replying either way. Not that he can actually pretend not to have heard her "You are putting on a dress"
"I know what am putting on alright? What I want to know is how I got into one because the last time I checked, I was in a hospital robe before you had someone kidnap me. Now tell me, who got me into this dress?"
"I did and I swear, my eyes were closed and I didn't dare look. Not even once" he explained with a hint of regret at least.
Aria was beyond upset at this point but had to keep calm if she wanted to get out of there.
She had no idea what he could be capable of doing to her and her baby after all he has done to get her there.
Henry might be crazy for all she know and could do worst things if he couldn't respect the fact that she doesn't want him and never will.
"I want to go home" her voice was calm and collected when she spoke again.
"No! Not yet. For now, you are staying here with me" he deadpan with an angry snarl which almost startled her as well.
"Why? Why are you even doing all this. Why do you want to keep me here against my will" she asked looking around the new familiar aura before settling on his facial expression that was giving away nothing.
He held her gaze for a moment before reaching out a hand to caress her left cheek but she scooted further away from him on the bed before he could.
He got back up on his feet and stood facing her with both his hands resting against his waist.
"You know why Aria even though you keep acting like you don't. And am doing what I should have done the very moment I realized I had to fight for what I want"
"What you want? That's your reason for kidnapping me? Because you are fighting for what you want even if what you so want doesn't even want you?"
He gave a shrug and walked back to the arm chair by the corner and sat on it from the opposite end before stretching forth his leg in front of him in a really comfortable manner and sighed in relief.
"You are crazy!" She yelled at him causing him to grimace at her words.
"Yes i am crazy but only about you and you know it" he gave a light chuckle and just relax back on the chair with his eyes close
"You can't keep me here forever and you know it. My husband and the police will find me and you will be sorry" she threatened.
"You are right. I really can't keep you here forever and that's why I need you to put to birth soon enough so we can travel somewhere far from everyone else"
Aria could only look back at him in fright. If she was afraid of his sanity before, now she was beyond terrified.
Henry has completely lost his mind and there is no doubt about it.
"And if I refused to travel with you?"
He gave a low threatening chuckle at her question. "I'm afraid you don't have a choice my darling because you are stuck with me now and I will never let you go"
Aria couldn't help but feel disgusted at how confident he really was. To think that Henry was behind her kidnapping after everything that has happened was something she never saw coming.
He masterminded everything while acting like they were best of friends again. What she couldn't seem to understand was the lady that took her back at the hospital.
How are they even connected.
"Who was the lady that helped kidnap me from the hospital"
"No one to concern your pretty little head with"
"You can't keep me here Henry. Am pregnant and I need to see my doctor" she had insisted hoping it'd make him consider letting her go.
"I am a doctor Aria. I can take care of you and the baby perfectly well so you have no reason to panic". He assured her with a smile.
Looking around a bit more. She realized the room was big enough and well furnished as well but there was a padlock at the door. If she was thinking of escaping on her own then that fact must have put an end to such thought.
"How long have I been here?"
"Two days even though you have been asleep through it all"
Aria was no longer listening at this point because of the terrible sensation in her stomach. Henry must have noticed it too as he finally stopped talking and rushed to her side.
"What's wrong? Are you okay?"
Aria couldn't believe he was actually worried about her well being after everything he has done and still doing.
"I'm not Okay Henry. I want to go home and I want to go home now!"
"And I already told you No! You have to stay here"
She pulled her hand out of his hold at his statement. "If you can't let me go then at least give me food. Am starving"
Aria couldn't believe she was asking for food at that point but she couldn't help herself. She can't even remember the last time she had food and the foetus within her was kicking furiously at her to even dare ignore how she truly feels.
Henry rushed over to the table and grab the same bag he came in with earlier and pulled out a plate of food and placed on the bed for her to eat.
Aria looked at the plate of fried rice and chicken and then back at him with an expression that says 'really?'
"I knew you will be hungry as soon as you wake up so I went out and got your favorite"..
Aria said nothing in reply as she quickly pulled her plate of food closer and began to dig in. If she was going to succeed with what she had in mind then she would be needing all her strength.
She was getting herself out of there. With or without anyone helps.
