Chapter 81: Chapter 81

I reach my old apartment and will meeting Rosa there for family dinner, it’s Lena’s first day back in town after long months she’s been traveling the world. I knock the door and a three and half years old girl opens the door for me, that was little Alison. “Woah… hi honey!” I greet little Alison and hugs her before I get into the apartment. “Hello aunty” Alison replies. “Where’s your mom, honey?” I ask. “Right there” Alison says as she points her index finger to the kitchen.

“Alright, now you gonna walk aunty there” I say, holding Ali’s hand as I close the door. Alison and I make our way to the kitchen and I see Rosa were pretty busy with the food. “Hey! Finally” Rosa groans as she makes her way to me. “Ughhh… I miss you” I groan as I hug Rosa. “It’s good to see you!” Rosa says as she caressing my back. “It’s good to see you too!” I respond. “Where’s Lena?” Rosa asks as she looks around the place, looking up for Lena.

“Ah, she’s on her way, she’ll be here soon!” I say. “Well, right! Have a seat” Rosa says. I sit on the dining seat while waiting for Lena to come. Rosa preparing the food and put them all on the table, I’m about to help her but she didn’t let me help her because she says I’m her guest. “I’m gonna grab some snacks, wait!” Rosa says, she leaves me in the kitchen and walks towards the food storage. The bells ring and that must be Lena.

I make my way full speed and open the door. “Oh God babe, finally!” I hug Lena as I saw her standing in front of me. “You good?” I ask as I checking on her body. Lena left a sweet smile but obviously tease my behavior. “Chill! I’m literally here without any bone left” She chuckles. “Haha… right” I laugh softly, my eyes keep looking at her. Lena runs her face closer to me, she kisses me softly, releasing all the longing we had.

“I miss you so much!” She says as she caressing my cheek gently. “I miss you badly babe” I respond with a sweet smile on my face. Lena and I walk to the living room and sit on the couch while waiting for Rosa to show up. “Where is Rosa?” Lena asks. “She was grabbing some snacks, I’m gonna check her now” I say as I off my ass from the couch. “Okay” Lena says. I kiss Lena once more before I look up for Rosa upstairs.

I make my way upstairs and looking up for Rosa, I didn’t see little Alison too. “Rosa?” I say, getting into the food storage room. “Hello? Is there anybody here?” I say. I turn the light on and looking around the place, there’s nobody in here. “Where are they?” I whisper. I turn the light off and leave the storage room. I walk through Rosa’s room and I see her having a conversation on the phone. “Jeez, you’re here!” I exhale in relief, knowing that Rosa and Alison were fine.

I was so freaked out because I’m terrified of Lena’s enemy, or her fellow business partner who doesn’t like her new own business and I’m terrified if oneday they will hurt Lena or me, or even my family. “What’s wrong? Why you mixed up?” I ask. “Fuck, my boss called me. He said there’s a new client who wants to talk about the business at dinner tonight” Rosa replies with disappointment in her voice.

“Hey, it’s okay!” I say. “I’m so sorry if I can’t be with you tonight” Rosa furrowing her eyebrows and pouts. “That’s fucking okay!” I state. “Mmm… at least you give me some time with Lena tonight, you know what I mean?” I give her a look and smirk as I raise an eyebrow. Rosa gives me a look and laughs, she hits my arm gently after. “Well that’s worth” She chuckles. “How’s Ali?” I ask. “Oh, I’m gonna take her. So she’s not messing you tonight” Rosa says as she smirks.

I laugh softly, knowing Rosa is obviously teasing me. “Well, okay. I’m gonna go downstairs and see Lena before I go” Rosa says. “Okay” I smile, she caresses my hair after. I went to my old bedroom and place my bag before I make my way downstairs and I see Lena was busy with her phone. “Hey, Rosa got a duty call. She’s not going to have dinner with us” I say. “Ah, I know. She told me” Lena says as she keeps scrolling her phone. I’m raising my eyebrow because I never see this behavior before.

“What do you do, babe?” I ask, sliding myself next to Lena. “Oh, here, Dmitri told me that he’s gonna sell the ‘thing’ to this place. It’s a small place though, I need to do more research from the internet and locals” Lena replies as she shows me the place. I rest my head on her shoulder and grab her arm with me, gather it with me. “It’s a nice place” I say. “This place called Amalfi. I don’t know how to spell the name but it’s a small town in Italy” She says.

I tell nothing but my mind keeps worrying about her, how can she sell drugs to a nice quiet place like that, how can she ruin people’s life with shit she made. I feel like everything is getting worse day by day and I don’t want to be like this anymore, I don’t want her to be like this, I don’t want her to ruin the good thing in her life because of this. I want to have a nice simple life like normal people and I don’t mind if we don’t have anything in our house.

I don’t mind if we only have one bed and sheets covering us at night. I don’t mind if I spend the rest of my life with nothing, rather than have everything but sleep in fear every single time I close my eyes. And the point is if I have Lena with me, everything will be perfect, even though if we have nothing in our house, even though if we struggle at night and wondering about what food that we should have the next morning, I would never mind that.

“Hey, I’ll be back at 10, please shut the door before you guys sleeping. I have on own key with me” Rosa states. Her states suddenly wake me up from my mind and get me back to reality. “Yeah, I’ll lock the door before we get into the bedroom” I respond. “Okay, see you soon” Rosa leaves the living room and walks out, she closes the door after. I exhale as I placing my head back on Lena’s shoulder, gather her arm with me.

“You’re hungry babe?” I ask, my palm caressing Lena’s arm. “Not yet babe, how about you?” She asks. “Not really… we can have the dinner in the next couple of minutes” I reply. “Well, as you said...” Lena says, she caresses my hair after. I inhale deeply and made up my mind to ask Lena about shit in my head. “Babe?” I call her. “Yes?” She replies briefly. “Don’t you mind to stop scrolling on your phone?” I inhale softly.

“And spend the night with me?” I exhale, deciding to not asking her shit questions in my head because this is not the right time to do. Lena heavily sighs as she shut her phone and pulling me closer onto her torso. “Yes, of course!” She says under her breath. I chuckle, my eyes looking at her and in fact, worrying about her life. “You’re completely controlling me!” Lena chuckles, she’s kissing my forehead softly. “Really?” I ask.

“Yeah…” She raises an eyebrow. Lena runs her face closer to me and kisses my lips after. She kisses my lips gently and leaving a few kisses on my chin which makes me weak. “I miss you so much!” She says in a low voice. “I miss you too” I smile, my hand caressing her cheek gently. “Mmm, how about if we eat our dinner and go to sleep after? Ughh… I’m sleepy” I groan. Lena laughs softly, she shook her head and caresses my head. "Sure!" She says.

Lena and I walk towards the kitchen and grab the food full speed. I serve the food and making a cup of chocolate milkshake for us. “Really, a milkshake?” Lena raises an eyebrow when I place the milkshake on the table. “Yeah, why? Is a good drink before sleeping” I reply with a slight of annoyance in my voice. “I prefer to get drunk and fuck instead” She chuckles. “Jesus, Lena!” I groan. “W-what? I thought you like it” She states.

I inhale as I slide into the dining seat. “Yeah, I truly like it… but I have no mood for today” I respond. She laughs as she gives me a look. “Dare me that you’re aroused when I play with your hair” Lena says confidently. “Jeez Christ, I swear Lena, I’m not in the mood” I shook my head, with seriousness in my voice. “Hey, chill babe!” She chuckles as she chews the food. I pout and eat my food in silence, Lena eats her food and she occasionally stares at me during our dinner.
