Staring at the ceiling, smiling, lay down and waiting for Lena to come home with a smile on her face as she kisses my forehead before sleep. I’m in love with her… day to day. When butterflies fall in love, do they feel humans in their stomachs? Mmm, I guess because when humans fall in love they could feel butterflies in their stomachs as I felt when Lena next to me. I reach my phone at the bedside and stare at the top of my phone screen “Gosh… It’s 1 AM, where is she?” I say in a low voice.
I walk through the window and staring at the street… I didn’t see Lena’s car parked in the parking lot. “Jeez it’s too late” I say as I’m holding the phone. I unlock the phone and I call Lena “Hey, It’s Lena. Leave a message” Line beeps. “Gosh… voicemail” I mumble. I call her once more and that’s still the same… “Where the fuck is she” I say. I walk to the bed and throw myself “Jeez” I exhale heavily. I lay and staring at the ceiling, hoping Lena to come tonight… but she’s breaking the promise.
I move myself to my bedside and cover myself with blanket… I reach my phone and try to call Lena “Hey, It’s Lena. Leave a message” Line beeps. “Shit…” I mumble as I throw the phone to Lena’s bedside. “It’s okay if she was busy with her work… but at least leave me a message. I’m afraid if something bad happens to her… goshhh” I say in dismay as my eyes staring at the clock. I’m waiting for her but she didn’t come back… I reach my phone and I look at the phone screen “Jeez… It’s almost 2 AM” I mumble as my mind keeps thinking of her in dismay, then I fall asleep…
The alarm wakes me up… the sun hits my eyes… birds fly around the window… the car horns sound one after another. I open my eyes gently and stretching my body, I woke up from the bed and I didn’t see Lena… “Jeez she’s not coming home last night” I say in a raspy voice as I’m rubbing my eyes. I walk to downstairs and I see Rosa making a cup of coffee in the kitchen, I walk to the kitchen and talk to her “Hey morning… have you seen Lena coming home this morning?” I say as I’m clearing my throat.
“Umm… nope” Rosa says as she sips the coffee and looking at me. “She’s not going home last night” I say as I lean myself at the fridge. “She’s maybe busy or works overtime” Rosa says. “Maybe… and that’s okay, I'm just worried” I say in a low voice as I point my eyes to the front door. Rosa chuckle “Damn… you act like she’s not coming back for decades” She’s mocking me. “Gosh… I’m not, I'm just worried” I say with a slight of annoyance in my voice. “You're not her babysitter and she’s not 17, she’ll be back soon…” Rosa says as she rolls her eyes and walks to the living room.
I tuts from the kitchen “Can somebody please take me seriously...” I say. Rosa scoffs as she leaves me. “Jeez Christ…” I mumble. I walk to upstairs and I reach my phone at the bedside, I call Lena… “Hey, It’s Lena. Leave a message” Line beeps. “Fuck…” I mumble as I’m throwing my phone to the bed. I take my towel and I take a shower… my mind is thinking of Lena, she didn’t call me or leave me a message since last night. What happened to her… I’m worried. “Jeez… think positive Maia” I say as I’m soaking myself.
I finish the shower and wear my coat, I book the Uber and prepare myself to work. I walk to downstairs and miss the breakfast… “Hey! Your toast” Rosa says in a high voice. “I have no mood for breakfast… see you at night” I say as I'm leaving and closing the door. I walk and waiting for the Uber at the street corner… then I get into the Uber. I didn’t hear anything from Lena since last night… I’m so sad and mad. I arrive at the office and the driver drops me in front of the office.
Then I walk alone to the office as I reach my phone and staring at the top of my phone screen “It’s 7 AM, I got here earlier” I say in a low voice as my eyes keep points at the phone screen. “Hey… babe… hey” Lena says as she slows running behind me. I turn back myself and heavily sigh… I’m standing in silence. “You walk too fast babe… I’m exhausted” Lena says as her breath gets heavy. “Hey… tell something” Lena says in a heavy breath. Lena gets closer to me “Ahh… I know… you're being sulky” Lena says as she runs her hand to my back.
I roll my eyes and tell nothing, Lena chuckle “It’s kinda hot, seeing you being sulky like a 40’s housewife... ughh so hot” She says as she bites her bottom lips and staring at me. I inhale deeply and staring at her in a high raise eyebrow as I'm crossing my arms. “Hey… I’m sorry” Lena says as she reaches over my hand and stares at me. “Babe… look at me” She says. “I’m truly sorry…” She says with a slight of grief in her voice. I stare at her and sigh “Fine!” I say. Lena smile and kisses my lips in front of the office “Thank you” She says as a smile comes through her pretty face.
“Where have you been?” I say as we walk together to the office. “Umm… I worked overtime at my colleague’s house last night and I’m not bringing my charger… that’s why I’m not calling you or leave you a message” Lena says. “Mmm… alright then” I say. We separate in the corridor and I walk to my workplace… Lena gets into her room and closes the door. I sit at my desk and I lean to the seat. “Gosh... I came early” I say as I’m looking around the place, I stare at the clock and It’s almost 07:30 AM.
“Hey morning…” Riley says. “Hey! Morning… where’s Alaia?” I say. “I have no idea! She may get here soon” Riley says as she sitting in her seat. I turning on the computer and clean my desk. “So how’s you and Laurie?” I say as I tidy up my desk. Riley gets closer to me “Shhhh… wall can hear!” She says in a whisper. “Gosh… sorry” I say in a low voice. “Laurie and I went on a date a couple of days ago” Riley says in a low voice. “Gosh! How fast” I say as I highly raise my voice. “Gosh… low your voice!” Riley says.
“Sorry… I’m so happy to hear that” I say in a low voice as I’m covering my mouth. “You know the company prohibits the workers from having a romantic relationship with one another” Riley says in a low voice. “Yeah, I know… I read that too” I say. Riley raises an eyebrow and stares at me in a smirk “Well… but that does not count in you” She says. I raise an eyebrow and chuckle “Haha… shut up” I say as I tidy up my desk. “How’s you and her? All good” Riley says as she turning on the computer.
“All great… we’re getting close” I say as a smile comes through my face. “That’s great! I’m happy for you” Riley says. “Thanks” I say as my cheeks were getting rosy. I sit on my work seat and do my job. I wrote two articles and send the softcopy to the company's original email. Riley was busy with her work and I didn’t see Alaia coming today. I mounting to Riley “Hey… where’s Alaia?” I say. “I heard she’s work outdoor today” Riley says in a whisper. “Ahh… alright then” I say in a whisper.
We do our job and finished the job… all the employees are work half-day today. We prepare ourselves to go home, I tidy up my work desk and throw all the papers… I stare at Lena’s room and I haven’t seen her going out since this morning. I take my bag and walk to Lena’s room… I knock the door and get into her room. “Hey… you’re busy?” I say as I’m closing the door. “Hey… I’m about to finish, wait a min” Lena says as she points her eyes at the computer screen. I sit on the seat in front of her and looking at her, the smile occasionally came through my face.
“You’re hungry?” Lena says as she keeps staring at the computer screen. “No baby, I’m good” I say. Lena does her work in a rush… “Alright I’m done” She says as she turning off the computer. Lena leans on herself and stretching her body “Ughhh… I’m so fucking tired” She groans. I stare at her and smile… “Why are you smiling like that? It’s weird…” Lena says. I chuckle “Haha… seriously?” I say. “Mmm… kinda” Lena says as she gets closer to me. She gets closer to me and rests her chin on my shoulder “I missed you so much” She says in a low voice.
Her voice turns me on as her breath causing me to shivers… “I missed you too” I say as my breath gets heavy. Lena pulls my hand gently and she throws me to the desk… I sit on the desk as Lena is in front of me and stares at me with her hand on my thigh. “What are you doing?” I say as I rest the palm of my hand on the desk. “I do nothing…” She says in a low voice as she runs her hand into my skirt. My breath gets heavy as she slips her hand into my skirt… Lena smile as she points my eyes with her needy eyes.
“Mmm…” I moan in a low breath as my eyes point to Lena’s. Lena raises an eyebrow and smiles… she starts to kiss my neck as her hand is stroking my thigh. She kisses my neck and she occasionally licking it… I put my hand on Lena’s shoulders and I faintly moan in a low breath. She’s about to slips her fingers into my wall but somebody’s coming without knocking the door “Oh my God… sorry! My bad” The secretary came as she covering her eyes with her hand and papers in the other hand.
She’s put the papers in the file drawer and leaves the room with rosy cheeks. Lena stood in silence as I sit on the desk in embarrassment and shocked. “What the fuck…why don’t she’s knocked the door?” I say in a whisper. Lena clearing throat “She’s my secretary, she doesn’t need to knock my door” Lena says as rosy cheeks came through her face. “Yeah… but at least you lock the door before you making out” I say as I move myself from the desk and take my bag on the desk. Lena chuckles as she highly raises an eyebrow “Alright… my bad” She says.
I highly raise my eyebrow and inhale deeply. “Let’s go home… I’ll eat you for dinner” Lena says as she pulling my hand gently. “Mmm… well, but I prefer pizza or pasta” I say as I’m putting my hand to Lena’s shoulders. Lena runs her hand and rests that on my hips “Well… you’ll get what the fuck you want” Lena says. I raise an eyebrow as my eyes point to Lena’s eyes, Lena gets closer to me and kisses my lips. I could felt the taste of the cherry lipstick on her lips… “Alright time to go” Lena says as she holding my hand.
I stare at her and chuckle “Alright then…” I say as I bite my bottom lip and stare at her. Lena and I leave the room and walk through the parking lot together, we get into the car and drive home. Lena and I sit in silence on our way home as she holds my hand tight… we listening to music and enjoy the ride. Seeing Lena next to me, holding my hand, smiling and we sing a song… that makes me super happy, people call their world earth and I call mine Lena. She’s my world… and I don’t think I could live without her by my side.
