I finished the half-day and I see Lena out from the CEO’s room in tense, she walks full speed through her room and closing the door. “What happened? What making her so pissed…” I say in a whisper as my eyes staring at Lena’s room. “Damn, Maia… You look tired sis! I think you need to stay away from somebody’s business” Alaia says as she tidies up the papers on her desk. “She’s my girlfriend! And it’s my right to minding her business” I say with a slight of annoyance in my voice.
Alaia rolls her eyes as she heavily sighs and staring at me “Relax babe… relax… look at me and breath” Alaia reaches over my hands and stares at me. I look at her and sigh “You know… I stayed up all night overthinking about things I have no control over” I say. “I think you had a manipulating, controlling toxic relationship with her” Alaia says as she crossing her arms. “Jeez… she’s not controlling me or manipulating me… but she's acting so fucking weird lately” I'm mounting as my eyes staring at Alaia.
“And sometimes I have no idea if she still the same girl that I choose to be or not cuz she’s acting differently each day… and sometimes I felt like she’s completely mine and the next day I felt like she’s someone else” I highly sigh and put my hand on my head “And I'm fucking love her” I say. “Well… it’s your relationship, it’s the love and someone that you choose to be… and for that, you should take all the consequences” Alaia says. “You know… I ever saw her texted her ex in the middle of night” I highly raise my voice as my eyes pointing to Lena’s room.
Alaia highly raises an eyebrow and shooking her head “Jeez…for that thing I have nothing to tell… but how did you know that?” Alaia says. “I pretend to sleep and I peeked when Lena turned on her phone and texted her ex! But I cannot see the conversations” I say. “Jeez! Don’t you think that she still had feelings for her ex and tried to get back?” I say in dismay as I putting my hand to my head. “Gosh… Maia, stop suspecting people” Alaia says as she shooking her head and sigh. “God, I’m not… I just worried” I say.
Riley comes to us as she holds the papers in her hands, she's about to go home “Hey… what’s up guys” Riley says. “Hey, nothing… we’re just having the old girl-friend chit chat” Alaia says. “Alright, it’s time to go home” Riley says. “You guys go first… I’m waiting Lena” I say as I point my eyes to Lena’s room. “Alright then...” Alaia says and they leave me in the room. I walk through the lobby and sit at the corner table “Gosh... where is she” I mumble. I reach my phone inside my bag and call her, “Jeez… voicemail” I highly sigh.
I’m looking around the place and I’m about to catch up Lena in her office. “Hey…” Lena says. “Jeez! Where have you been” I say in dismay. “Sorry babe, I settle a couple of things in my room” Lena says as she looking around the place in dismay. “Why are you so worried babe? What’s wrong?” I say as my eyes point to Lena’s. “Mmm… n…nothing, I just looking for someone” Lena says in stutters. “Ahh…okay” I say in relief. Lena stares at me and reaches over my hands “And now… we’ll see our new house” Lena says as her eyes point at mine.
I chuckle as my eyes point to Lena’s “Well… I can’t wait” I say in a low voice. Lena gets closer to me and her face is about 5cm from mine “Hope the agent cleans the bedroom before we got there” Lena says in a whisper. I stare at Lena’s lips and gulped my own saliva “Hopefully” I say. Lena pulls my hand and dragging me gently, we walk to the parking lot together. “It’s gonna be a good day” Lena says as her hand is still holding mine. “Yeah…” I say. We get into the car and drive to Whitestone.
I love being next to Lena… everywhere I go as long I’m with her that doesn’t matter. Everything is just a background… she’s the one who I paid attention to. Sitting in the car, next to Lena… holding hands… that’s my favorite thing besides the other things that I did with her. “My friend thinks you’re hot” Lena says as her eyes point to the street. I highly raise my brow “Oh… really? Which friend?” I say. Lena stares at me as her left hand is holding the steering wheel “Me, I’m the friend” She chuckles. “Holly shit… hahaha” I highly raise my voice and laugh “Jeez babe…” I say.
Lena chuckles as she staring at me, she runs her fingers through my hair and stroking it… I hold Lena’s hand and kiss the palm of her hand. “Welcome to Whitestone” Lena says in a cinema dubbing voice. I smile and look around the place… “Here we go…” Lena says as she parked the car in front of the house. “Jeez… it’s like my grandma’s house in Jersey, it’s so big babe… we're just 4” I say as my eyes point to the house. Lena runs her hand to my neck and she chuckles “I know you’re La Luna… your family is a fancy people and I want you to be enough with me” Lena says. “Gosh… did you spy on me? Or searching about my family history” I say in surprise.
“Well… perhaps” Lena says. “Jeez babe… that’s not necessary! You know… I literally moved here is just to stay away from my family especially my dad and living my own life without their help, and I want to be autonomous” I say as I open the car’s door and get out from the car. Lena gets out of the car and closes the door, we walk to the house and open the door… The house is like my family house in Jersey… the high white ceiling is about to touch the night stars. The grey fancy walls give a warm impression to each room… The shinning white marble floor pampers those who step on it, it reminds me of home.
The place that my family and I were spent the time together… “Wow… it’s wonderful” I say as my eyes point to the house in surprise. Lena gets closer to me and hugging me from the back “You like it babe…” She says. I keep looking at the house and admire it. “Yeah… I love it” I say. Lena removes the hair from my neck “Well… sounds good” Lena says as she kisses my neck gently. I turn myself back and facing Lena “It reminds me of home” I say in a slow voice. “And… this is our home now” Lena says as she stroking my hair with her fingers.
I smile as my eyes looking at her “But… we don’t have money to pay the bills” I say. Lena chuckles as her eyes are looking at my lips “I already paid in cash” Lena says. “B…but… how did you get the money?” I say as I lowering my brow. “I join my friend's business and now we’re working on it… so, as the down payment, they gave me enough money to bought this house and I probably can buy a couple of house like this in the next few years” Lena says. I highly raise my brow and looking at Lena “What kind of business you’re in babe?” I ask her curiously.
“Mmm… let’s call that… export and import things...” Lena says. I stare at her with a confused face “That’s kinda weird” I say. “Well… just forget it. Now let’s see the house” Lena says excitedly as she pulls my hand and we’re touring the house. We’re touring the house together and our last destination is the pool… The pool is facing the sea, we could see ships… people tanning their skin and the kids play in the seashore. We sit on the lounge sofa near the pool “It’s so beautiful babe” I say as my eyes point to Lena’s eyes.
Lena stares at me and smiles “I’m happy if you’re happy” She says as she holds my hand and looking at the sea. “I just can’t believe that I’m dating a gorgeous successful independently gay woman when my daddy always tells me…‘Hey you should marry a man better than me or you should wait for me to die so I could never attend your wedding’ He says with his circular mustache” I chuckle as my eyes staring to the sea. Lena stares at me and laughs “Seriously?” She says. “Yeah… I’m serious hahaha” I laugh as my eyes point to Lena’s eyes.
Lena runs her hand through my neck and pulling me closer to her… I raise an eyebrow and smile. Lena kisses my mouth gently… “You hungry babe?” Lena says as she looking at me. “No baby I’m full… we’ll eat after home” I say as my eyes point to Lena’s eyes. “Umm… Alright, as you wish baby…” Lena kisses my forehead. “Ah… I forgot! I’m going to Phuket next week and I’ll be there in one or two weeks I guess” Lena says. I suddenly change my facial expression into a sad puppy face.
“Seriously?” I say with a slight of disappointment in my voice. Lena runs her fingers through my hair and stroking it “Hey… hey, don’t be sad” She says. I stare at her and smile… Lena looking at me as a sweet smile comes through her face… we enjoy the noon, holding hands and looking at the ocean. The sea breeze blows my hair, the waves' sounds accompany us… the seagulls fly above the sky as fish swimming in the ocean. The blue ocean reminds me of Lena… her heart is full of secrets like a deep ocean.
