Sitting in front of the computer doing my job, the devil man keeps staring at me. I don’t know what exactly the reason why he keeps messing with me. Gosh… I wish Lena were here! I occasionally stare at him with annoyance and a slightly raised brow, his devil face freaking me out. I inhale deeply and clearing my mind. My phone is ringing… I reach my phone and stare at the phone screen “Lena!” I say. I’m picking up the phone… “Hey… what’s up?” I say. “The spy says that you got trouble at work” She chuckles.

“What the fuck… Lena stops teasing me!” I raise my tone. “Wow… relax babe” Lena laughs. “How’s yours?” I ask Lena how was her work in the field. “Mmm… went good, but it’s kinda hot here… the sun tanned me” Lena chuckle. “Umm… your skin probably will look like mine soon hahaha and that’s sexy mmm” I chuckle. “Is that booty call?” Lena talks in a slow breath. “Damn Lena… can you please clear all negative thoughts on your head?” I lean on the chair. “Ahaha… that was what you like uhh” Lena laughs.

“I like when you talk dirty” I say in whispers “But not at work” I say. Lena chuckle… “I’ll check on him soon” Lena says in a serious tone now. “Ahhh it’s not a big deal, I’ll figure it out” I refusing Lena. “Hmm… alright then, but if he does something bad to you, I’ll give him something that he’s never expected” Lena says. “Why my girlfriend suddenly cares for something like this…” I smile and giggle. “Ughh… bye” Lena hang up the phone. I’m staring at the phone screen “Jeez…Lena” Then I chuckle.

Laurie walks to my desk and sits on it. She’s wearing a leather short skirt and a tight shirt. “Umm… I was wondering if you wanted to get some food or coffee and get to know each other?” Laurie says while sits on my desk. I raise an eyebrow “Sure, I would love to! Where and when?” I say. “How about right now? It’s lunchtime now” Laurie says. “Umm… okay” I take my bag and we leave the workplace. We walk to the coffee shop together, it’s just 2 blocks from the office.

“So, where are you really from Laurie?” I ask her while walking on the street corner. “Where I’m really from?” Laurie stares at me and laughs. I raise my eyebrow and stare at her “Why are you laughing at me?” I say. “Damn sis… it’s New York!” She says. “Ughh… that’s dumb question” I sigh. “Ummm… If you wanna know, I’ll tell you everything you wanted to know” Laurie stares at me and smiles. We finally arrive at the coffee shop, Laurie and I sit at the corner table near the huge window.

“It’s a good place…” I say while putting my bag next to me. Laurie and I ordered coffee and cheesecakes. Laurie and I eat our food, I sip my hot creamy coffee. “So Laurie… I’m not gonna lie but you’re so gorgeous and unique” I say while sipping the coffee. Laurie giggles and says “I’ve been told” She raises an eyebrow. “Wow… you’re so narcissistic” I raise my eyebrows. “Hahaha… I’m kidding…” She says. “Mmm… lemme guess” I say. “Yeah” She says. “Your ancestors are Caribbean-American! Am I right?” I say while eating the cheesecake.

“Damn… hell no! I must be hotter if my ancestor is Caribbean” Laurie laughs. “Damn…Laurie” I laugh hard. “So I’m a Canadian-Tanzanian woman, who more into a woman, moved to America to find myself and starts my new life” Laurie says in a serious tone. “So you moved here from Canada?” I say while eating my food. “Umm… yeap… I love America, especially Vegas” Laurie says while sipping the coffee. “Damn! I love Vegas! I lost $1000 in 30 minutes when the first time I got there hahaha” I laughs out loud.

“Hell no… what did you do?!” Laurie asks me seriously. “Gambling” I chuckle. “I think you need to learn more from the professional” Laurie raises an eyebrow. “Damn… are you…” I raise an eyebrow and stare at Laurie. “Ummm… yeap…” Laurie raises an eyebrow. “Damn…I’m in” I stare at her. “So tell me about you” Laurie asks me. “I lived here… in Queens since I was born, my life is boring as well. I love travel… but did you know what’s the most interesting place that I really wanted to visit as soon as possible?” I say.

“Where?” Laurie says. “Lesbos” I say in a serious tone. Laurie raises an eyebrow and chuckles “Are you fucking kidding me!” She says. “No... I’m serious!” I say. “Really? Alright… lemme check my phone” Laurie reaches her phone. “Holly fucking shit!” Laurie laughs “You tell the truth” Laurie says. I raise an eyebrow “I never lied” I lean my hand to the next chair. “This place will be my next summer list!” Laurie says while staring at her phone. “So where do you live Maia” Laurie looking at me.

“I live not far from here, with my sister, niece and my girlfriend” I say. Laurie suddenly looks at me with a little disappointed face “So you had a girlfriend?” She says. “Ummm… yeap” I purse my lips.”Ahhh alright then, silly me to think that someone swag like you was single” Laurie giggle. I raise my eyebrow and laugh. I hit Laurie’s shoulder gently “Damn… come on!” I say. Laurie chuckle and stares me, we continue eat our food. We finished our lunch and back to the office, on our way Laurie gave me a terrible idea to give the man lesson that he never forgot.

“I got something on my mind, a good idea!” Laurie suddenly looks at me and raised an eyebrow. “Whaaatttt?” I say while walking on the street corner. Laurie gets closer to me and whispering me her idea. “Damn… are you fucking kidding me!” I say in a high tone. “That’s brilliant…right…” Laurie raised an eyebrow. “God… I can’t do that… that’s so bad, but I mentally really want to do that” I sigh. Laurie stares me “Ummm… alright then, I’ll do… you watch” Laurie says while focusing her eyes on the street with her devil eyes.

I don’t say no more, I mentally agreed to her idea but I’m not sure. Laurie and I arrived at the office, I sit in my workplace and staring at the computer screen. My phone rings again! Lena called me. I pick up the phone “Super Lena’s here, to your service” Lena says. I chuckle… “Hello Ms, my empty soul needs more service tonight… tell me when the employee will be home” I say. Lena inhales and tries to not laugh “I’ll check the schedule first Ms, wait a minute” Lena says then she says no more in a second.

“Ummm… I already checked the schedule, she’ll be home at 8 and she’ll do her job in a minute after she got there” Lena says. I chuckle “Stop covering your mouth and laugh” I say. “Hahaha you know…I tried to not pee right now, Jeez!” Lena laughs out loud. “So what’s up babe?” I say. “It’s good to hear your voice here” Lena says. I inhale and say “It’s good to hear you too”. “Alright I need to go, see you tonight” Lena says. “Bye” I hang up the phone. Lena and I just knew each other for a month.

But the connection between us is like we have known each other for a long time. I truly love her… I just can’t imagine if oneday Lena and I weren’t together anymore. Ughhhh… I don’t want to think about that. But I’ve learned that home isn’t a place, it’s a feeling. “Ughh…” Sighed me. I lean to the chair and staring at the ceiling, then Laurie comes to my desk “Are you ready?” She whispers to me. “What!?” I’m whispering to her. “For the god sake please don’t do that” I say. “Ugh… come on!” Laurie rolled her eyes and leaving my desk.

She’s sneaking to the man’s desk, I’m watching Laurie from my desk and look around. The lunchtime isn’t over yet so no one here beside me and Laurie. Laure took a laxative from her pocket and then she poured the laxative to the man's coffee on the table. “Jeez Christ” I put my right hand to my head and sigh. Laurie runs faster to her desk and acts as nothing happened. Everyone’s coming… the man sitting on his desk, Laurie and I keep staring to each other. The man sips the coffee, Laurie stares at me and raises an eyebrow.

I pursed my lips and I shook my head. I pretend to do my job occasionally staring at the man and Laurie. He suddenly gets up from his chair and runs faster to the toilet. Laurie covering her mouth and tried to not laugh. I bulge my eyes and stare at Laurie. Damn…the man back and forth to the bathroom in 40 minutes straight. I honestly felt bad for him but I’m mentally having fun when I saw him suffer. It’s time to go home, now is 4 PM. I walk to the parking lot and Laurie comes after me, she yells behind me “Hey!” She says.

“Damn you scared me” I say. Laurie laughs out loud “That was funny” She says. I stare at her “Yeah that was… but I felt bad now” I sigh. Laurie walk next to me and stares at me “He deserves that” She says. “How tf he deserve that!” I say. “Well… he called you Lesbos, insulting you and messed you” Laurie says. “Umm that’s kinda right” I say. We were walking together to the parking lot… “Hey, would you come to my place and hanging out sometimes” Laurie says. I stare at her “Umm… sure” I say.

Laurie stares me and smiles “Sounds great!” She says. “Okay here we are, see you tomorrow” Laurie gets into her car. “See you” I say. I’m about to get into my car, but the man stopped me, he squeezed my hand. “What the hell… stay away from me” I say. “You bitch! Don’t you think that I didn’t know what your friend and you did to me? You fucking bitch” He says in anger while squeezing my hand. “Fuck off…” I say. “It’s not over!” He says then he leaves. “Holly shit…” I sigh.

I get into the car and lean to the car seat. “Damned” I hit the steering wheel. “Ouchh..” I stroked my hand cause my hand hurts. I reach my phone and I call Laurie “Laurie… the crazy creepy ass man just threatening me!” I say. “Gosh… how dare he is!” Laurie says in anger. “So, what should we do?” Laurie says. “Shit… I’ll figure it out” I say. “No worries, you have my back” Laurie says. “Well...” I hang up the phone. “Fiuhhhh… shit” I throw my phone to the back seat. I drive myself home… then I arrive. I parked the car and walking by myself.

“I’m home…” I say in a tiring voice. Rosa and Abuelita are watching TV in the living room. Rosa is holding little Ali… “Where’s mom?” I’m asking Rosa. “She’s outside, buying food I guess” Rosa says. “Ahh… okay” I lean myself to the couch and sigh. “What’s happened? You look terrible” Rosa says. “Ughh… my friend and I prank someone at the office and now I’m dealing with it” I inhale deeply and sigh. “Ahhh… how can?” Rosa gets closer to me. “That devil ass man insulting me and called me Lesbos” I say.

My grandma covering her mouth and chuckle… “I’m serious!” I say. “And he’s rude” I sigh. “I know how’s that feels, I’ve been in that situation too” Rosa sigh. “So what should I do?” I say. “I have no idea” Rosa says. “Damn!” I say. I leave and walk upstairs. I throw myself on bed and lie down. “’Uhhh… damned” I say. I reach my phone and staring at the phone screen “It’s 6 PM, 2 hours left before Lena’s got here” I say. I’m about to take a shower and clean myself and waits for Lena to gets home. But… I fall asleep.
