Still on my prison bunk, facing the prison wall, and I’m having the old bittersweet memory came out of my brain, chuckling to myself and remembering how fairytale my life was when I’m with Lena. I feel like I’m not myself anymore since five years ago I spend my time without her, I feel like I pretend to be someone else and buried the real I am deep down inside myself. I have never been happy anymore when I'm not been able to be by her side.

Now I understand why Lena is mad at me, why she hated me and I deserved this. It hurts me but it doesn’t compare as I hurt Lena at that time. Her mom is the most important person for her besides me, and Lena loves her mom so much. It hurts me now when I realized how asshole I was and left Lena to stand alone on her feet when her mom dies. I don’t know how to apologize to her and I don’t know how to act, I realized how bad I am to her and how asshole I was.

I remembered when I spent our one night sleeping in Lena’s mom’s house and having dinner together at her house. The room smelled like roses and sweet bubblegum. Lena and I bought a lot of roses before we reached her mom’s house and how surprised I was when I found her mom had a lot of sweet bubblegum candles collection. Like mother like daughter, Lena loves candles a lot just like her mom. We had millions of sweet-fresh candles at our house at that time.

“My daughter seems like you a lot!” Her mom said when she stood next to me, faced the beautiful little garden and swimming pool in front of us. “Hehehe… She is! Mrs. Mitchell” I laughed softly as I drank my wine. We just have finished our dinner and Lena was had a conversation on the phone with Dmitri. “She never took any girls to my house, you’re the first, Maia” She said. “Wow really?” I responded as I dropped the wine to the table.

“Yeah…” She replied as she sat on the cozy couch near the pool. “Lena would never take any girls to my house. It surprises me when she took you today, I thought she came here by herself” She ended. “Well, guess I’m the lucky one then!” I chuckled and gave her a sweet smile after. “Hey, come sit here!” Her mom asked me to sit. I made my way and placed my ass on the cozy couch in front of her.

“I am so happy that you open your hands for me to come here today…” I smiled. “I was having a flaming over-think before I got here” I ended. “Huh? Is that what my daughter’s girlfriend thinks of me? That I’m the hideous one?” She replied. “No, I didn’t say that. I mean, I’m just terrified that I don’t deserve your daughter in your book. And I’m afraid if you might think that way” I said with a slight of grief within my voice.

Lena’s mom heavily sighed and she pointed her gaze to her daughter Lena who talked on the phone not far from us. “Lena must love you so much, Maia!” She said. “I could see that when I saw her eyes” She smiled. "Lena sees you the way she saw me" She ended. I smiled as I pointed my gaze to Lena and grateful to the universe who brought us together. “I know… I know she loves me. And I had the same love or maybe more for her” I replied with smiles on my face.

“I never saw Lena’s happier like she saw you…” Her mom responded. “Smiles never came out of her face since she was a kid. I fucked my life, I fucked Lena’s childhood. I fucked everything good for my Lena and dragged her to my desperate life” She held her tears. “But… seeing Lena’s smile when she’s with you, that makes me happy and I couldn’t ask more” Tears started to come out of her eyes, dripped down to her cheeks.

“And please… don’t ever break my little girl’s heart. She through a lot of pain since she was a kid… and I couldn’t see her in pain anymore” She ended as she wiped her tears. I couldn’t help and I started to cry in silence when I listen to her words, it touched my heart. “I will never ever break Lena’s heart, Mrs. Mitchell. I promise… because I love her and it hurts me when I saw her suffer” I said as I wiped my tears.

“Hope you keep your words, Maia” She responded as she looked at me. “I will Mrs. Mitchell… I will…” I smiled. It felt so amazing that night because Lena’s mom trusts me for taking care of her daughter’s heart, I would never break her trust that was what I’m thinking that night. But still, I’m the asshole. I even let her daughter went to her funeral alone and suffer by herself. “Wow, what are you guys up to here?” Lena suddenly came and sat next to me, she kissed my cheek after.

“Oh, wow. We’re having a nice conversation between a mother-in-law and a daughter-in-law here and you just ruined our secret” Her mom chuckled and she drank her wine after. “Well, sorry for interrupting both of you” Lena chuckled. “But okay mmm tell me the secret?” Lena ended. I chuckled with a raised brow as I pointed my gaze to Lena, laughing at her question. “W-what are you laughing at?” Lena raised her eyebrow.

“It’s funny when you asking us that kind of question” I responded with a few giggled. “W-what?!” Lena chuckled as she raised her eyebrow, and tickled my tummy after. “Hey… hey stop, it’s inappropriate” I off Lena’s hands from me and grinned at her mom. “We talked about few random things and how much you like this girl, Lena” Her mom said as she drank her wine. “You must be the prettiest girl in town, Maia” She started.

“You must be the one who could take my daughter’s crown down, you must be the one who she loves the most and you must be the love of my daughter’s life”

“The light of her eyes…”

I chuckled as I pointed my gaze to my girlfriend who had turned into a bright magenta, her mom made her blushes. Lena’s cheeks look like the sweet strawberries cake that we ever ate in Brooklyn last winter. “Ugh damn. Mom, come on!” Lena groaned as she placed her hand on her forehead and covering her face after. “Hahaha that was nice, you’re telling your mom everything about me” I laughed softly. “I’m not telling her anything! She has her own spy” Lena groaned.

I removed my gaze from Lena and teasing her. “Did she mention that I’m the hot one in town Mrs. Mitchell?” I asked. “Mmm yes she-” Her mom hasn’t finished yet but Lena jumped from her seat and covered her mom’s mouth, she hugged her mom after. “Mom, please don’t embarrass me anymore in front of my future wife or she will change her mind in the next day!” Lena said. “Oh, no… no… I would like to hear more” I chuckled.

“Babe, shut up!” Lena chuckled. We left a few laughs after that conversation and getting back to our room after. That was a wonderful night for us, especially for me. I felt like I'm home and talked to my own mom when I talked to Lena’s mom, she felt like the real mom for me than my own mom. She saw me the same way as she saw Lena, so full of love and it warmed me when I’m around her. Lena is just like her mom, she’s wonderful, gorgeous, lovingly, and smart.

“Well, it’s time to sleep, kids! I felt hoaaaffff, tired now” Lena’s mom yawned, and she up from the couch after. “Good night ladies!” She winked at me and leaves us. “Did your mom just winked at me?” I surprised. “Hahaha yeah, I guess!” Lena chuckled. “Is that usually happens between you and your mom, talking like friends?” I asked. “Of course, babe! My mom isn’t the awkward one, she's funny as I've said” Lena chuckled and she drank my wine who placed on the table.

I chuckled from a lovely dream of mine before I slammed my lips against Lena. “Mmmm” I hummed as I kissed her. “Your breath tastes so good as usual” I smiled as I caressed Lena’s cheek gently. “Hahaha thank God. I have brushed my teeth before the dinner started” Lena responded and she definitely teased me. “Hahhhh” I smelled my breath. “Euggh mine is gross! Eww, I haven’t brushed my teeth! Why don’t you tell me!” I groaned.

“Haha, should I? I still like it” She laughed softly. “Hah? Okay hah-hah-hah” I spread my breath to her. “Look! I smelled it! Mmm” Lena hummed as she sniffed my mouth. “Okay, now we have to clean ourselves and sleep. But this golden pussy can’t wait to hang out with her loved ones before sleep” Lena talked dirty with a raised brow. “Shhhh! We’ve talked about this before” I shushed her. “Babe, pleaseeeee!” Lena welded up. “Uhhh, Lena. Stop giving me those puppy eyes!” I groaned.

“You know that I couldn’t help myself with that” I ended. “Hahaha see!” Lena ran herself closer to me and hugged me, she stared into my eyes after. “You know what… I’ve been missing you lately” Lena said in a low voice. “I missed you too, babe” I chuckled. I ran my face to Lena and gave her sweet kisses. “No sex in your mom’s house! Remember?” I replied in whispers. “Ughhh! Fine!” Lena groaned in annoyance as she crossed her arms.

I laughed softly and gave her more sweet kisses before we went to her bedroom. I was so happy that night and I never thought that I’ll miss my time with her after a long time I spent my time with someone else, I missed how she treats me, I missed her sweet good night wishes to her morning kisses. I missed how she smelled, I missed all kisses she gave me, I missed everything about her and I want her to come back to me before I couldn’t wake up in the morning anymore.
