Chapter 66: Chapter 66
Chapter 66l Kiss in the pool
Mrs. Fanny had her hands locked to ken’s as they had a grand tour of the detached eight bedroom duplex.
Earlier ken had said to her, “I would fain want you to accompany me to my new house,” Amidst her face bemused with smiles, she had obliged him her company.
The mansion was located out of the suburb of Miami County, and Mrs. Fanny couldn’t help murmuring over their fire-gutted house ever since they arrived for the grand tour.
“Such a beautiful swimming pool you got over there,” she said gesturing at a green, spacious swimming pool that stretched out so even.
“Yes,” ken implied, “that is the general pool. There is a mini indoor pool in the pent house.
“Can I have a look?” she requested.
And Ken held her by the arm as they made to the penthouse.
“This house is too big for you, Ken?” she remarked, “Or do you have plans of settling down soon?”
Ken smiled cheek to cheek. “I believe so much in real estate business. If time permits me I will buy more houses.”
She halted her pace, and squeezed his fingers. “That is why I am so into you. Look at you; a lawyer who is out for legit hustling, unlike my husband,” and she knew his drawn face was questioning her statement already. “What is that look on your face?” she asked.
“You don’t have to attach every negative vibe to Mr. Fanny. He is a nice man for all I care. People do all sorts –“
“Shhh,” she interrupted him with her finger crossing his lips. “Speak no further. Shall we proceed to the swimming pool?” She dragged him by the arm, and opened the door on the other end of the corridor and a cozy blue pool with flowers welcomed them.”
“What the hell. This is haven,” Mrs. Fanny sounded, feeling the gold polished floor and wall with her hands, staring agape at the artificial waterfall that flashed into her face.
“This home must have cost you a fortune,” she said, swirling around to behold Ken holding out a bunch of keys.
“Actually the home is for you and Kate,” Ken intoned, his face smirked with a huge smile.
Mrs. Fanny folded her arms in bewilderment and searched for the authenticity of his words by holding his face and running her stare across his face. “Tell me is not true,” she said yet further, “No, no, no tell me what I am used to. I want to hear what I am used to. I am used to failure, disappointment and dilemma. Tell me it isn’t true right now, Ken,” she said soberly and sniffed repeated as tears rained down her cheeks.
Ken nursed her face on his chest, “You need to stop this right now.” He peered into her face. “Why are you all tears?”
She sniffed and had her face wiped by him. “My family has been through the valley and it seems the worst is yet to hit us. I never expected this gift so soon, considering all you have done for us. You came into my life and opened a new chapter for me. I can’t –“
She was immediately thrown into an outburst of wailing.
“You just need to put yourself together,” said Ken, “I did not gift you this house to hurt your green wounds. I think and believe this house will unite you and Kate. You know Kate has a mind of her own worst still she can’t stand the sight of both of us under the same roof, so I decided to put the round peg in the round hole; I got you this house.”
“My heartfelt gratitude goes to you, Ken,” she said and their eyes clicked easily. “Kate will welcome this and she will have no other choice than to like your person,” she sounded.
“I can’t wait to be accepted by Kate. I know she doesn’t want me to have anything to do with you.”
Mrs. Fanny shook her head, “She has to understand that I’m an adult and not a candy-kid. She can’t decide my life. I am her mother for chrissake.”
Ken recalled few nights ago, after they had a breath-seizing quickie in the kitchen, she had emphatically mentioned marriage to him and he had rebuked her. He perceived now he had gifted her a house she would seize the opportunity to push further her desires.
She snorted thoughtfully, “What about us, ken?”
He shut his eyes briefly and his face frowned like a poorly drawn piece of art. “We are cool, best of lovers and nothing more.”
“Damn it Ken. The other night when I mentioned marriage you turned me down. Are you scared of my husband or what?”
“Hell no, I am only giving the honor that is due him. If you have got no conscience I do.” He stared into her lustful eyes. “We are cool this way. Marriage is not going to create any indelible mark than what we are right now.”
“Then you leave me with no option than to marry another man,” she retorted and shyly threw her gaze to the floor when his frown warned her.
“It is Ok if you want to marry another man; so far I am not in the same box with you guys. Before you do that I just want you to know that nemesis awaits your deceitful actions against your husband. And don’t forget you have a beautiful child that looks up to you and what is she going to tell her peers, that her mom got hooked up to another man while her father is in jail. That narrative is not palatable to the ears. ”
Just then her countenance fell; she really wanted to get at her husband for being dishonest to her all along and she thought marrying their lawyer was the most hurtful thing that could happen to Mr. Fanny. But things were not going as planned.
“Now tell me how I am going to stay alone for twenty years. Come on I am not a mannequin. I am a woman. I need my cookies at night, in bed. My thighs need warmth from time to time.”
“Even without dating me, and you need sex, you can apply at the jail for private visit with your husband. A room will be allotted for you two to have a nice time after which you can return home. “
Mrs. Fanny yelled, “Sex in jail! Hell no! Fanny doesn’t deserve that. I rather stick to you, marriage or not.”
She drifted to him, hung her hands on his shoulders, and their eyes locked. Gently Ken undressed her, undressed himself and lifted her into the swimming pool.
The pool shook in short waves; they were already kissing hastily.
The worst just begun…
