Chapter 295: Chapter 295

Chapter 295

~One in a million father~

For days on end Coleman still writhed in pain after seeing Ella and the police detective having sex and promises made by the detective to sweep the search for his missing cousin under the carpet. And for the first time he regretted having anything to do with Ella and his heart churned him so much for even sleeping with her. He was a total disappointment and he hated himself for stooping so low to sleep with his cousin’s wife. He thought Ella was a good woman he could have extra marital affair with. He never knew she was a goat in sheep’s’ clothing, and flirtatious. He wondered how many men had seen her G-string and he looked forward to looking her in the face and reveal to her of her evil intention with the police detective and after wards he would end anything he felt for her and make sure she and the police were brought to book for conspiracy.

He was going to do that.

Dinner was served right on time. Brian and grandma had assembled at the dining to enjoy the sumptuous Pecan Pie with Maple Cream and another like it; BBQ Chicken Platter. Grandma had employed the services of the best chef in town to fix them those meals, believing everyone was going to be delighted to have them. After she and Brian had eaten half way without Coleman she was worried.

“Where is your father, Brian?” she asked, masticating her mouthful as her wrinkled jaw waggled within her face, “I guess he would love this recipe. Where is he?” she asked yet further, shooting her gaze at Brian who was lost in the web of what reply to give. About replying grandma, Coleman ran downstairs hastily.

Brian and grandma tilted their faces at him at once, watching as he advanced to the dining , took the orange juice and sipped and about making a move to the door, grandma interrupted him.,

“Where are you off to? Dinner is ready.”

Coleman glared at the wrist watch on his wrist, “I got to see a friend granny. It is very pertinent,” he lied, glared at Brian who had his face down, stirring his meal yet losing interest in taking a spoonful. He knew his father was out to see Ella and not any friend.

“It is late, Coleman. This is an ungodly hour for you to see your friend. Can’t she wait till tomorrow,” grandma said , shaking her head in irritation of his decision to skip dinner all in the name of visiting a friend.

“Come on granny it is a he not a she. Besides I will be back on time once we are done discussing business,” he lied, rolled his eyes impatiently and raised his head.

Finally Brian raised his head , but felt hurt to stare his father in the face after suspecting him of sleeping with Ella, and he knew he wasn’t out to visit any other person than Ella. He could swear with his life. The video tape of Ella being banged by the police officer was still on his phone and he wondered how his father would feel if he should get to find out Ella was a bitch and rebel. Only just that he felt sorry for himself for getting involved with Ella in the first place and murdering his cousin for the sake of protecting and loving Ella.

But she was going to pay for all of that.

“Listen up, Coleman, this is Miami not California. You got to be careful when keeping late night,” grandma advised and breathed hard and she frowned once she saw the looks on the face of Brian wasn’t approving Coleman’s intention to go out.

“You have a son and a wife in California to live for. You got to be careful Coleman,” she said and then took a mouthful.

“I will, granny, I will. I got to go now. I love you. I love you, son,” he said and stroked Brain on the head and Brian forced a smile at him and quickly scowled once he turned to leave.

Brian and grandma could hear the vroom of a Ferrari outside; obviously Coleman had sped away into the night.

Grandma stole a glance at Brian while she gulped down her BBQ chicken platter with a glance of orange juice . “Have you noticed something about your father lately?” she asked.

Brian shook his head, “Yes,” he replied and added “He has been hardworking and going about the search for his missing cousin.”

Grandma shook her head, “No that is not what I mean. Is he the only hardworking fellow?” She collected a mouthful and masticated before adding, “Let me rephrase my question. Are you suspecting your father of anything?” she sounded.

Brian paused the mouthful he was masticating at the time and stared at grandma even when he had a lot to tell grandma about his father; it is one very thing he wouldn’t dare to do. He would want to give his father that singular honor by keeping it secret even after confronting him about it. Telling grandma about the sexual written note he saw in Coleman’s pocket would be the easiest way of saying:

Father and son ate from the same pot.

Grandma knew he had dated Ella and even slept with her and then reporting his father to her would give her the credit to say trash and even report him to the father when he would be confronting him. For the sake of all the shitty relationship he had with Ella he wasn’t going to say a thing to grandma.

Sleeping with Ella and murdering her husband was worse than shitty things. He shook his head. “No grandma. Why would I suspect my father of anything? He is the best father any kid would want to have on earth. He is one in a million,” he replied

Grandma smacked her lips, “One-in-a-million father wouldn’t be outside by this time. Aren’t you suspecting him of infidelity especially with that pussy-for-all men that calls herself Ella?

Brian swallowed hard…
