Chapter 275: Chapter 275

Chapter 275

~Sister calling~

There was a hush, ear-ringing silence while Mary spoke and she was losing the effrontery to speak further. She only found herself repeating her words.

“I want to reveal to you that Tony is a…” she breathed hard changed her mind to say the truth. “Is a bad boy,” she lost the vibe to say what she actually wanted to say and thus her mind was changed abruptly. She said further, “He is a bad boy that could go any length to hide from being caught by the police,” she lied , and zeroed her mind from revealing anything to Doctor Frank as agreed with her daughter, Eva. She could feel the haze of calmness within herself; a sudden aura of temporary comfort clouded her body the moment she decided not to reveal anything to Doctor Frank. Although she was still having some nausation as a result of the truth still hidden from him, at least she wouldn’t hurt his feeling and he wouldn’t call their relationship a quit. Their wedding would still hold. Their wedding day was another issue that scared her. She had lots of questions pacing through her mind and nothing had been of more importance to her than now.

What if Tony should cause mayhem on her wedding day?

What if something she should have revealed to Doctor Frank and reached a resolution with Tony to stopped him permanently would now be revealed before the whole guests on her wedding day?

It would be the worst shameful experience of her life

“Was that what you wanted to reveal to me?” Doctor Frank asked, rubbing her soft, smooth arm. And when she shook her head, he said, “If he is a bad boy he has the police to contend with not me. I didn’t do any wrong by saving his sorry ass from the hands of death after some estranged lover chained him to the edge of the bed, and disappeared.”

Once she heard that from Frank, she swallowed hard and cleared her throat as guilt and fear took over her.

“By the way have you been able to inform the mother about the disappearance of her son?” he queried.

“Um…I …” she stuttered, feeling wary to say yet more lies that would come against her some day. “I did, yeah I did and she was worried too.”

Doctor Frank cut in, “Who wouldn’t be worried. He is indeed a bad boy, for him to have devised means of holding down a nurse and disguise in her nurse uniform, and disappeared into thin air, shows he is a damn bad boy. You have a bad boy for a nephew,” he sounded emphatic and humorous and they burst into a radical laugh which made Mary to even think the more while he laughed with a free mind.

Mary breathed hard as the guilt on her mind would only end in seizing her breath, “I never knew he was a bad boy trust me and to think of his tactics of disguising as a nurse just to escape the hospital premises , is absolutely disheartening . “So is there any news from the police?” she asked inwardly crying for herself and regretting her existence.

Doctor Frank shook his head, “Not yet, although I feel they are tired of searching for him,” and then he added, “My happiness is that he didn’t harm any of my staff. As for his bad boy attitude, he can go to hell. I don’t want to have anything to do with him again. He can keep hiding for the rest of his life. I don’t give a damn anymore. I am only in love with his aunt, being you and not in Love with him.” He stamped a kiss on her thick lips. “After our wedding we would have our honey moon in a privet jet for one month, visiting.

Mary died a million times in her mind ; how innocent and loving Doctor Frank sounded just now; she prayed Tony wouldn’t be an ass and do something stupid which she would live to regret. It hurts her so much that she couldn’t reveal the truth to Doctor Frank and if Tony should show up the next minute to reveal the truth himself. She would have only given Doctor Frank the picture that she was a monster. She had told plenty of lies already just to cover up her sin and she wondered what would become of her each day that drew past, even when she wanted to give Frank the idea of eloping out of California, she wondered what reason she would present and what would become of his joy. Certainly there was no hiding place for her now and her ill fate drew nigh.

“Please can we forget about your nephew and discuss our forthcoming wedding?” Doctor Frank said, casting an engaging glance at her.

“Yes baby,” she replied yet fearfully and disturbed within herself. The word nephew was more tormenting to her now than any other words, and she needed to remind Doctor Frank that there would be need to check up her blood pressure.

“So what number of guest are we expecting?” Doctor Frank asked, stroking her hair and trying to initiate an eye contact that would give him erection and put him back in the mood.

She winked briefly, brought her finger to her lips as she thought, “Um, three hundred,” she replied and peered into his face to see if he was Ok with that figure.

Doctor Frank raised a brow. “I wish I could invite the whole California. Come on baby, this is our day we are talking about here and it is certainly my first. I have never been married so I want something special, something top notch. One more thing,” Doctor Frank said.

And Mary’s brow furrowed , wondering what he was about saying, “What?” she inquired , shooting her curious gaze into his face.

“That your bad boy nephew, Tony, if you can reach him, invite him over to our wedding and tell him to stop hiding because I have forgiven him. In fact after now I am going to phone the police to stop the search on him .I just want everyone to graze our wedding and be thankful to God on our behalf.”

He was yet speaking when Mary interrupted him with a hug, “Oh thank you so much darling for considering my nephew, thank you darling. You are far too kind,” she said and was interrupted by the ringing tone of her phone. And when she gazed upon it, on the screen was written

Sister calling…

Tony was actually the caller; she used sister to save his number on her phone just to keep covering up her shortcoming…

“Oh your sister is calling,” Doctor Frank said, once he caught sight of it.

“Yes I will answer her later,” she replied, and breathed hard and grinned.

Darker days ahead…
