Chapter 210: Chapter 210

Chapter 210

~Eva won’t throw me back into the ocean~

“Fanny! Fanny!” the prison warden yelled

And Mr. Fanny was startled out of slumber,

“Your daughter awaits you at the visitors lounge,” the prison warden said, hitting the log into his hands and unlocking the bars for him.

While the prison warden did that, he tried to get on his nerves when he said, “Your daughter looks dashing, pretty and she will look sexy while giving me blow job.”

“You swine!” Mr. Fanny cursed and sneered at him, “You think your momma and sisters won’t look sexy while giving me a blowjob?” he added, shooting his frown at the prison warden who walked away, laughing uncontrollably and audibly.

With his jaw that clenched in anger, Mr. Fanny got to the lounge to meet with Kate, who had been waiting with Eva sitting at the far edge of the hall, where she waited for Kate to meet her father. When Mr. Fanny came to the lounge, Eva’s brightened face was the first image that caught his sight before he threw his gaze at Kate and questioned her a million times with his scowled face.

“Must you always come with her?” sounded Mr. Fanny before taking his seat and retuned his gaze at Eva and then Kate , “Is that what you want for life and from love?” he queried , placed his hand-cuffed hands on the table and wished he could hold her hands and talk sense into her.

“Dad,” Kate called, shaking her head, “Eva means more than life and love to me right now,” she said, staring at Eva who was shyly playing with her fingers and possibly perceived they were discussing her. “She is the reason I breathe and would ever be.”

“You breath?” he asked, and said yet again, “Meaning you are going to die if she calls it a quit?” Mr. Fanny looked at Eva and wondered the bond between them that seemed impenetrable and unbreakable, “I never expected this from you. I want a decent and simple life for you. I expect something better than this. This is no life, Kate,” he said, freed his gaze from Eva and gazed up Kate, “Don’t make people think I have no impact in your life since your mother left me for Ken,” he intoned, “I may be in jail but I want to give you the best of everything including lover. There are many cute men out there you could charm and make them melt your snow,” he said and noticed the mountain of anger that paraded her face ; the haze of worry that covered her eyes and he knew he was already pulling Kate up the wall – sad.

“Come on dad, what if I tell you she is the best thing that has ever happened to me. What about she being the souce of happiness I have recently. Since Eva came into my life I have seen life in a different perspective and my happiness has known no bound. She may not be the best lover but she isn’t an asshole like some men. I know you don’t like her because she is gay. But I just want to sound it clear to you may not be happy with me for sounding ironical but I know how much Eva can sacrifice for me if the need arises,” she said , locking eyes with Eva, and inwardly wishing Eva would stand firm for true love when it would be demanded of her.

“I don’t think that girl can sacrifice it all for you, Kate that girl is like a fisher man. Once she gets a fish that she likes she puts it in the boat and if she catches the one she doesn’t like she gazes upon it, shakes her head and tosses it back into the ocean. I pray she doesn’t toss you back into the ocean,” Mr. Fanny echoed, and smacked his lips to quit talking about Eva.

Kate shook her head, “She won’t toss me back into the ocean , dad. I trust Eva,” she said, and smiled hugely at Eva , who also smiled back, wondering what they were discussing about her that made her let out such contagious smile, “mom is finally married to Ken, dad.” She added and saw no iota of emotion possessing her father.

And for the first time in her life she was glad for her father who didn’t pull up some emotional reactions upon hearing news about her mother. “Congratulations , dad,” said Kate , as she saw the cloud of surprise hanging across his face.

“Congratulations?” he wondered with a smile, “What are you congratulating me for?” he asked impatiently and anxiously too.

“For moving on after mom left you for Ken and also this…”

She pointed to the ring on his divorced finger , which used to be on the married finger. She was happy at the quick action he took to shift the ring. Indeed he had moved on and Mrs. Fanny was no other thing than a phrase in his life now.

Mr. Fanny burst into an engaging chuckles as he shook his head, “I love your sense of humor,” he said still struggling with laughing.

“My dear I moved on a long time ago, especially since Lucy came into my life. You see my beloved daughter,” he intoned and snorted to make Kate believe whatsoever he was about saying seriously.

“True love sacrifices all and is selfless… that woman, Lucy is an embodiment of both,” he said and inwardly assured himself he wasn’t going to reveal to Kate , Lucy had taken upon herself to sell drugs for him out there on the street. “That is the kind of love I want for you. Someone that can sacrifice it all for you and be selfless , also vice versa,” he advised.

And Kate shook her head in agreement stealing a glance at Eva and assuring herself she was also an embodiment of sacrifice and selflessness. Suddenly Kate dug hand into her bag and pulled out the wads of dollars Mr. Fanny gave her the other day.

“I don’t need this dad,” she said, “Something tells me you need this more than I do,” she added…
