Chapter 64: Chapter 64

Roshni's P.O.V.

.

Though it was already past my office time, I was still busy with the planning of a new project and got startled when my phone rang off suddenly.

When I saw it was Ruhaan, Titly’s word of last night came to my mind at once that Ruhaan didn’t want to come to my home only to get sad.

Giving that thought a break, I answered the call but before I could say something, he spoke up, “When are you getting off from work today?”

While looking at the file, I spoke up, “It will take some more time, Ruhaan.” only to get silence from him.

Then I asked him, “Why?”

“I need to talk to you.” hearing him saying this, I uttered, “About what?”

He didn’t answer me immediately rather got silent again. And when I spoke up his name, “Ruhaan?”

He answered quite hesitatingly at first in a lower tone, “You will get to know. I will wait for you at the nearby coffee shop of your office. Meet me there before you get home today.”

When I replied, “Okay.”, he cut off the line. I tried to concentrate on work again but some thought kept bothering me.

I kept wondering what could be it that he wants to tell me. Last night Titly came to us but he didn’t even want to come to my house. What if he tells to stay away from Titly also this time.

What if he tells to just leave them alone with themselves!

My eyes got teary thinking all this. Wiping my eyes, I tried to concentrate again on work but being failed, I got up closing the file and muttering under my breath, “Let’s face the reality whatever it is.”

I forwarded towards the coffee shop which was just the other side of the road from my office.

Entering the coffee shop, I looked around to find Ruhaan but didn’t get any sight of him. I sat at a table and kept waiting for him. When after almost half an hour, there was no news of him, I called him only to find his phone switched off.

Then I got worried and kept thinking should I call Titly to know if everything was alright with Ruhaan.

Giving that thought a nod, I was about to call Titly but right then a message came to my phone. It was from Shaan.

“Api, get home. It’s urgent. Vai is not well.”

Reading that, I rushed towards Ahmed Mansion.

Arriving there, I found it slightly dark. I switched on the light and called out, “Shaan? Ruhaan?” but there was no response.

Being all afraid, I forwarded towards Ruhaan's room which was also dark. I switched on the light only to get taken aback by the surroundings of the room.

I kept standing there being all frozen until I felt someone shaking me slightly. Being all startled, I looked at him only to find Ruhaan standing in front of me.

I looked at him from head to toe to check if he was alright as I spoke up, “Ruhaan, what happened? Are you alright?”

He nodded smilingly and I again spoke up, “Then the message of Shaan?”

He uttered confusingly, “What message are you talking about?”

I got silent and was about to leave when he spoke up, “Wait. Where are you going?”

“I need to get home.” I spoke up only to get shocked hearing his answer.

Ruhaan's  P.O.V.

I was about to leave to meet Roshni but got to Titly’s room as she was calling me. Though she knew I was going to meet Roshni but I felt she was purposefully making me late.

When I heard Roshni calling our names, I got out of Titly’s room being confused. I saw her entering my room and I followed her only to get shocked seeing the decoration of my room.

But I immediately understood it was none but Shaan who did all this and Titly was also included with him.

Thinking this, a smile crept on my lips as I nodded when Roshni asked me if I was okay.

When Roshni was about to leave saying about going home, I spoke up, “Isn’t this your home also?”

She gave me a confused look and I again spoke up, “Roshni, the story of us has already begun somehow. So can we try for a happy ending?”

Hearing me, Roshni kept all silent and I again spoke up while giving her a pleading look at the last moment, “The situation of that day lead us to get married which was least expected and I didn’t get to know your opinion. So now I  would like to know if you are willing to take the same decision if you get the chance?

Roshni I know I may not even be near one of your expectations but I can guarantee you that no one is gonna try harder to catch up to your expectation and cherish you more than me. Roshni, I don't know what I am supposed to do if you say no. So please can you say yes and save us both, I mean me? Can you please give me a chance?”

When she still kept silent, the confidence I had mustered up was gone.

Then I uttered in a lower tone, “Roshni, it’s your life. So you can take your decision whatever it is. Already you have gone through and done more than enough for us. If you want to get free from our marriage then..”

I got interrupted as Roshni uttered then, “Ruhaan, I am a simple girl who was always too caught up with reality to think about my future. Not I am a girl of that nature to dream about my prince charming. I never escape a situation rather always face it squarely. So as we are already got tied in a bond somehow, I would also like to give it a try.

Though I am not sure if I would be able to get up to the point of your expectation, but I will also try my best.”

Hearing her, I smilingly nodded and uttered again, “Then let’s get married again and properly this time.”

She gave me a confused look and I knelt down in front of her holding a ring and uttered, “So, Ms. Roshni Hasan, would you like to face the future situations squarely with me being Roshni Hasan Ahmed, my wife and my friend?”

Roshni smiled heartily and forwarded her hand towards me. I put on the ring on her finger and holding her hand, I looked up at her with a smiling face and got up.

Then we heard some sound and turned back only to find Shaan and Titly standing there smilingly by the door.

Titly got near Roshni and uttered, “Sorry, Api. I lied to you yesterday. Vai didn’t say that.”

“What are you talking about Titly?” I uttered but without bothering that Shaan spoke up this time, “I am also sorry about the message, Api.”

Nodding at that, Roshni spoke up while shaking her head, “So all this were your plan. But is this remarriage thing really necessary?”

They just nodded at that smilingly only to get stopped hearing my condition.

“Let’s get married together then. As it's time for you to get married too.”

“What? Not now api.” Titly replied while shaking her head but when Shaan also replied, “Yes, api. Not now.”

Titly looked at him glaringly and spoke up, “What did you say?”

Shaan got silent then and we laughed out. Glancing at us, Titly spoke up pointing at Shaan, “I don't want to marry him.”

Then giving Shaan a glaring look, she left from there and Shaan made a pleading look as he turned to us.

Right then Ammi entered the room and being confused, she asked, “Ruhaan, what happened to her?”

With a little bit of smile, I spoke up, “Nothing Ammi. Titly and Shaan are just following their habit.”

Ammi spoke up smilingly looking at Shaan, “Son, go and talk to her. I want my two daughters to get married together.”

Shaan spoke up making a face, “Aren’t we two your son too? Why are you just..” but Ammi spoke up interrupting him, “Shaan, don’t try to change the topic, dear. Go and talk to her.”

Shaan turned to me and I nodded at him. He left from there and turning to me, Ammi spoke up again, “Ruhaan, sorry son. I didn’t let you take the decision in this matter of Tithy, I mean Titly. I just thought.”

Interrupting her, I spoke up as I got near her, “Ammi, you remember what I told you when I got you here tonight? I didn’t say that just for saying rather meant that heartily. So you have the right to take the decision for your children, ammi. And you can call her whatever you want as she will be the same girl of yours.”

Hearing me, Ammi smiled a little and I looked at Roshni who was staring at me confusingly.

When I gave her a look like what, she spoke up, “What did you talk to Ammi before?”

“Why do you want to know that? It's between Ammi and me, right Ammi?” While saying I turned to Ammi at last part and she smilingly nodded at that and uttered, “Right.”

Roshni made a disappointed face as she uttered, “What? Ammi, aren’t you supposed to be on my side?”

Hearing her and seeing her face, Ammi spoke up while caressing Roshni’s hair, “I am dear. And now Ruhaan is also on your side and I am very happy for you two.”

When Roshni looked at me hearing her, I smiled a little and tried to bring the expression of assurance on my face but wasn’t sure whether she understood that though she also smiled at me.

Titly’s P.O.V.

When I saw Vai there without api and he spoke up about taking me home, I got shocked.

I glanced at Ma whose face turned off at once hearing vai but she kept all silent. Shaan was about to say something then but before that, I spoke up, “What are you saying, Vai? I just can't leave them like this when they did so much for me. And api? What about her?”

Hearing me, vai looked at me and Shaan and spoke up, “I thought you two know me well to understand my word.”

Shaan spoke up immediately, “What do you mean?”

“When I said about going home. It was not just for Titly but including all of them who meant so much for Titly.”

Saying that Vai got near Ma and spoke up, “I have already lost my family once. Now I don't want to live like that. From now I would like to be one of your children also and likewise, I want to call you Ammi. Will you give me that right? Will you be with me also like you were with my sister?

Ma nodded smilingly though her eyes got teary. Wiping that, Vai hugged her.  After a moment, I uttered, “Vai, where is api?”

“She is still in office. I am going to meet her later. Don’t worry.”

Then Vai turned to Heer and spoke up, “Do you have anything to say about this?”

Heer gave a confused look to Vai as she spoke up, “What say would I have!  I am really happy for you all and wish you all continue to live peacefully together in the future.”

Vai spoke up caressing her hair, “I am talking about you, Heer. Do you have any problem with coming with us?”

Heer getting his word tried to utter, “No but why” but then interrupting her, I spoke up, “Heer pleaseee..”

Ma also spoke up, “Heer, you are not an outsider to us. You know that very well. You also remain standing with us when we were in need. So when we all are going to be together happily as a family then how could we leave you behind?”

Shaan also said then, “Heer, I don’t know you well. But I think we can make it to be good friends as you are a friend of Titly already. So don’t hesitate. You will love it to be there.”

Heer kept silent staring at our face but her eyes got teary. So I spoke up looking at her, “No more discussion on this. She isn’t getting any option to say 'NO' here.”

After some time we got home altogether and reaching there, Shaan said something to me about what to do with Api and Ruhaan Vai.

Hearing him, I spoke up, “But what if she gets in trouble keeping waiting like that alone? Or something bad happens to her on the way rushing here being worried?”

Shaan spoke up then, “I will be there. Don’t worry.”

I nodded at him and he told me about his full plan. Giving it a thought, I agreed as this way we will be able to get to know about Api what she thinks about her marriage.

When I agreed to Shaan, he left for Api’s office and I went on with the plan.

When we got succeeded with our plan, Api uttered something about my marriage also getting me all shocked.

Likewise having a sort of quarrel with Shaan, I got back to my room. Then I realized what I just said outside which might hurt Shaan deeply.

After all, he had gone through so much because of me. When this came to my mind, I turned to go to Shaan to apologize but got stopped as I saw him entering my room.

Before I could say something, he uttered, “Titly, you know I didn’t mean that. I just”

Seeing his pleading look, I couldn’t control myself. I hugged him tightly and uttered while sobbing, “I am sorry Shaan. I shouldn’t have said that”

Shaan’s P.O.V

When api all of a sudden spoke up about my marriage, I just shook my head and spoke up likewise Titly only to get a glaring look from her.

She left from there and Aunty turned to me and asked me to talk to her. When vai also nodded at that, I got their seriousness about this.

While thinking about what to say to Titly, I forwarded towards her room. When I entered her room, she was about to leave but hearing my word, she just hugged me and kept saying sorry while crying.

I got paused for a second then I cupped her face while wiping her tears and said, “Hey, why are you being like this?”

Without answering me, she again uttered, “I am sorry.”

While shaking my head, I hugged her and spoke up, “You didn’t do anything to say sorry, Titly. If anyone should say sorry then it’s me. For me, all these happened. In spite of all that you didn’t leave me.”

Hearing me, she let go of me and uttered, “It’s not your fault Shaan. Don’t say this. And whatever it is, I am not gonna leave you.”

I smiled at that and uttered, “Then should we get married?”

She kept staring at me and I took out the same packet of that ring which I couldn’t get to give her three years back.

Taking out the ring, I put it on her finger and she hugged me smilingly and I also smiled heartily being able to fulfill which I didn’t get to do once.

Then we heard someone coughing and let go of each other only to find Heer standing by the door.

With a smile, she spoke up, “Love birds, Aunty is calling you two downstairs. So will you?”

We smiled hearing her and got downstairs with her. That night after taking our dinner, we gossiped for a  long time until we got sleepy.

I got to Vai’s room as aunty said before proper marriage, they would stay separately.

Author’s P.O.V.

The marriage preparation got started from the very same week and they got married grandly.

After some days of their marriage, they were at the park again where they spent a lot of time making good memories and later while missing those badly and now replacing them with good ones once again....

Don’t expect the writer to tell that these people lived happily ever after...

As for no one ever does.

But there was happiness and even if there was not,

they did live..“While Holding the Pain”

Life is not a bed of roses rather filled with thorns very often.

Go on with a hope and keep faith that whatever is happening have a purpose.

Don’t lose it just because you are going on
