Chapter 46: Chapter 46
Roshni's P.O.V.
.
After hearing all these, Ruhaan rushed to meet Titly and I also followed him.
A woman in late fifties was telling something to Ruhaan but seeing me behind Ruhaan, she got stopped.
When she gave a questioning look to Ruhaan, Ruhaan turned to me for once and said, “Kaki, she is Roshni, my wife.”
The woman got shocked hearing this and uttered, “Ruhaan! Son, when did you get married?”
Ruhaan turned to her and spoke up, “Kaki, I will tell you later everything. Now I got to go to somewhere urgently.”
She looked at me with a smile and I greeted her.
She greeted me back then I saw a man of late fifties coming towards us.
Ruhaan greeted him but without greeting Ruhaan back, the man spoke up glaring at me, “How could you do this, Ruhaan? How could you marry such a girl!”
Hearing him, I just looked down being all silent. And the man again uttered, “I tried to convince you two to get married but you two acted like you would never get married. But then you got married all alone to such a girl who is”
Stopping him, Ruhaan uttered, “That’s enough uncle. Don’t say further. I don’t know from where did you hear all these but don’t start judging her as now she is not just that girl but my wife. I don’t care what others are saying about her as I believe her.”
Saying these, Ruhaan was about to leave but then he again spoke up looking at him, “Uncle, where is Tamim now?”
The man seemed to get startled but he spoke up, “How would I know! We haven’t been in touch for long.”
I didn’t know why but I got a negative vibe from that person as if there was something wrong about him.
My thought got interrupted when Ruhaan uttered, “Roshni, let's go.”
Leaving the man standing there, I left from there following Ruhaan.
Ruhaan directed me to get on the car as he took the driving seat. On the way we both kept silent until I asked him, “How can you believe me, Ruhaan? I mean you barely knew me.”
While keeping his eyes looking forward, he replied, “Titly believes you and that was enough for me to believe you.”
“But you didn’t know back then that she was Titly but my sister Tithy!” I spoke up and hearing me, Ruhaan got silent.
After few moments, he spoke up, “I didn’t know back then but I just felt the urgent need to see her smile at that moment and I did what it took me to make her smile.”
Hearing him I kept silent and started thinking how much Ruhaan must be loving Titly. Though he didn’t know but he must have felt their bond somehow to go to that extent to marry me.
Then whatever happened to me after that incident was nothing but the series of happening because of her.
Ammi got well, Tamim got along with me, my marriage got fixed with him and right after breaking that Ruhaan's entry in my life...all of these are nothing but the happenings for her.
And all I did make Ruhaan went through sufferings for the whole time. When Titly tried her best to keep my mother happy.
The chain of my thought got interrupted when I felt the car stopped. Looking all around, I saw we already reached my place.
Getting down, Ruhaan rushed to the entrance and followed him behind.
After pressing the calling bell for twice, Titly opened the door.
Seeing us, she spoke up with a little bit of smile, “Api, Ruhaan sir, you are here.”
I just kept looking at Ruhaan but hearing Titly calling Ruhaan, Ruhaan sir, the smile on the face of Ruhaan got wiped off.
He got silent for a moment and then he spoke up with teary eyes, “Vai. Ruhaan Vai.”
The eyes of Titly also got teary as she uttered, “Vai!”
Right then Ammi uttered from inside, “Who is it, Tithy?”
“Ma, Api and Ruhaan si..” Uttering to this point turning inside, Titly turned back to Ruhaan and with a smile again spoke up, “Ruhaan Vai and A are here.”
Ruhaan just caressed Titly’s hair with the same teary eyes whereas Titly remained standing there with a little bit of smile along with teary eyes.
Ammi also came forward then and welcomed us inside. Seeing Ammi’s face, it was clear that something was wrong here.
Sitting in the living room, I asked Ammi, “What’s wrong, Ammi?”
She spoke up while shaking her head, “Nothing, dear.” and went towards kitchen saying, “I am coming in a minute.”
Then I turned to Titly and asked, “What’s the matter?”
She also replied same as Ammi, “Nothing, Api.” but when I gave her a questioning look, while hesitating she spoke up, “Actually api, some neighbours came home after you left yesterday. They were just talking all those nonsense. That's why Ma is sad.”
Hearing that I turned to Ruhaan only to find him staring at Titly with a little bit of smile.
Ruhaan spoke up still looking at her, “Let's move in together. This will be better for all of us. What say Titly?”
Titly spoke up normally, “No vai. They will stop in few days on their own.”
When I saw Titly answering to Ruhaan normally though he called her as Titly, I got shocked.
Then I heard a sound and looked back only to find Ammi looking at Titly with uttered surprise having a tray in her hand whereas a glass of water was on the floor getting broken into pieces.
Titly and me rushed to Ammi but Ammi uttered while trying to be normal , “It’s okay dear. It just fell.”
We took her to the sofa and made her sit there.
As she was trying to hide something, I didn’t bother her then by questioning in front of Ruhaan.
We kept talking on some random things and after a while Titly went to her room saying, “I am coming back in few minutes.”
Ruhaan then turned to me and spoke up in lower tone not to the hearing of Ammi, “Roshni, let's move in together. By doing that Titly will be able to see through her past. I think it will help her getting her memory back and the people around here won't be able to trouble you people anymore.”
I was wanting to send Titly back to Ruhaan's house but how will I convince Ammi! How will she react knowing all these! I kept thinking about that. What if she!
I forcefully cut off the chain of thought and uttered under my breath, “No. It can’t be happening.”
Ruhaan was about to say something but Titly got back and uttered, “Let’s go, Vai.” and being all shocked, I looked at her as I just uttered fearfully, “Where?”
While giving me a questioning look, Titly uttered in an obvious tone, “Where else!”
