Ruhaan's P.O.V.

Leaving the park, I again came to my office and kept working till late on a project. My phone kept ringing but I didn’t bother to check as I knew, it was from Shaan for sure.

Being tired, I leaned back on the chair and closed my eyes. After a while I opened my eyes. I checked my phone and found 10 missed calls of Shaan.

I kept the phone aside and thought to myself, "I won’t get married Shaan. The person who was supposed to choose a girl for me is no longer here. But you have to."

While thinking like that I again leaned back on the chair and closed my eyes and didn’t know when I fell asleep.

Opening my eyes, I looked at the watch. It was already 2 AM.

"Today I have an important meeting and the work is not completed yet." I uttered under my breath and started working again.

When the project plan was finally completed, it was already 5 AM.Then I rushed home for a shower.

Roshni's P.O.V.

Ammi woke me and Tithy up for fazar prayer. After prayer, we slept again for sometime. By the time I was up, breakfast was ready.

Tithy was still sleeping. After taking my breakfast, I left for office. When I reached office, it was 8:50 AM. Murat sir came after a while and we left for Ahmed Industry for the meeting.

Entering the office, my eyes caught the sight of Ruhaan. "What is he doing here?" I uttered under my breath when he came forward and shook hands with Murat Sir.

Murat Sir introduced me to him. "Mr. Ahmed, she is Roshni Hasan, my Project manager and she will be handling this project."

I greeted him with a smile. He was shocked to see me but masking that expression, he greeted me back.

The contract was signed in the meeting. After meeting, we were about to leave when Murat Sit got a call and moved aside to attend that.

I was waiting for him when Ruhaan came up to me. With a sad expression, he asked me, "How's is Tithy?"

Feeling guilty somehow, I apologised to him and said, "Tithy is fine now. Look, I am sorry for my previous behaviour. Actually I got scared, seeing her situation."

He smiled a little and said, "It’s okay. I understand. If something like that happened with my little sister, I would have done the same or even more."

But when I replied with a smile, "Oh, so you also have a little sister, I see. Then you can totally understand me.", the smile of his face faded away instantly, I didn’t know why.

I was about to ask him something but Murat sir came back and said, " Okay, we will take your leave now, Mr. Ahmed and hope we will make this project a great success."

Ruhaan shook hand with him and said, "InshaAllah."

He looked back at me and smiled but I could sense the pain in his eyes. I left the place with Murat Sir and hopping in his, we went towards our office while thinking about Ruhaan.

Should I ask Tithy about this? She is his secretary. May be she knows something. My mind interrupted my thought and asked, "Why do you care?"And my all thought got paused.

Tithy's P.O.V.

When I woke up in the morning, it was 10 AM. I got freshen up and went outside of my room. Ma was reading a book sitting in the living room.

Seeing me, she put the book on the table and got up.

While walking towards me, she said, "You slept for a long time today, sweetheart. Are you feeling any pain in your leg now?"

I replied smilingly, "No complains, Ma." and she said, "Okay. Now come.  Have your breakfast. It’s quite late."

After breakfast, we both were gossiping sitting in the living room when our someone knocked at our door.

I went to see who was it. It was an middle aged woman. I didn’t recognise her. When I asked her, "Who are you and whom are you looking for?"

She replied smilingly, "You are Tithy, right? I am Tamim's mother. Is your mother at home? I want to talk to her."

Hearing her, I greeted her and said, "Tamim vai's mother! Assalamu_Alaikum aunty. Yes, Ma is at home. Please come inside."

Aunty greeted me back with a smile and got inside. Seeing Ma, aunty greeted her.

Ma greeted her back and looked at me with a questioning look and I replied, "Ma, she is Tamim vai's mother. She wants to talk to you."

Ma told her to take a seat smilingly. She took a seat and I went towards the kitchen to bring something for aunty.

When I came back with a tray, I saw both of them talking with a serious expression.

Seeing me, they stopped talking.

I sat with them and offered aunty some snacks. She took some happily and then got up and said to ma, "Sister, I will take your leave now. You think about it. Then let me know."

I greeted her and she greeted me back and went outside of our house. Then I turned to ma and asked her, "What did aunty tell you, ma? You two seemed to have a serious conversation. What is it all about?"

I got shocked at what Ma told me and was like, "What!!"..

Shaan's P.O.V.

After our last meeting at the park, Vai is not even ready to hear me. I kept calling him again and again just to get ignored.

While calling him and thinking about the words, he said to me, I didn't know when I fell asleep.

I woke up at Fazar and checked my phone if he had called me back or texted me but found nothing.

Nonetheless I am not going to listen to you vai this time. This time you have to listen to me. I always obeyed your word more than anyone and even more than my father.

When I needed my father the most, he was not there but you. You were always there for me. After that accident, you suffered as much as me or even more than me.

So I am not going to let you keep stuck there alone. You always fulfilled your duty as an elder brother and now it’s my turn. And I am going to fulfill my duty of a brother.

If it takes some time for you to make you agree with me, it’s okay. You can continue ignoring me. I will put up with it.

While thinking like that, I kept my mobile aside and got down from bed. I went to washroom and made ablution. After prayer, I slept again.

When I woke up again, it was almost 12 by noon. I took a warm shower and then went downstairs. Seeing me, the maid came forward and asked if I would have something. I nodded and he gave me my breakfast though it was quite late.

After that, I came back to my room and went towards the balcony. I sat in the balcony while reading a book which Titly had gifted me.

Ruhaan's P.O.V.

I got shocked seeing Roshni in my office. After meeting, I asked her about Tithy's condition. At first I thought of her as a little rude of nature but when she apologised to me for her behaviour and explained her reason, I got her point and smiled a little.

And some words came out of my mouth automatically, "It’s okay. I understand. If it would have happened with my little sister, I would have done the same or even more."

But after that what she said, wiped off my smile far away.

She went away with Mr. Murat and I went back to my cabin. I went through the project details again and made up a plan to work on it for the project.

It was lunch time and I was feeling hungry. I remembered eating breakfast the previous day for the last time. I got up to go to canteen when my phone rang off.

Seeing the caller ID, I again sat on the chair and felt my appetite vanishing immediately. I was confused whether I should receive the call and at last ended up receiving the call.

"Assalamu_Alaikum Uncle" I greeted him while hoping not to face the question again.

But to my luck after greeting me back, he asked me, "Did you talk to Shaan?" "Yes uncle but he is not ready yet for a relationship of marriage. I am trying uncle but I think, we should give him some time." I said sadly.

"As if 4 years weren't long enough, Ruhaan! How longer he needs then?" His voice was full of anger and frustration.

I got shocked hearing his tone at first. He also remained silent for a moment. Then he spoke up again, "I am sorry Ruhaan. I didn’t mean it that way."

I didn’t want to talk to him any longer. So I cut off the line saying, "It’s okay, uncle. I will try again. Allah Hafiz. "

My mind chided continuously, "How could he say that whether he meant it! Just how!"

I kept totally silent at that. Leaning back on the chair, I closed my eyes.

Opening my eyes after a while, I started working again on the current project file like I totally forgot that few moments earlier I was very hungry.

After working for several hours, I left the office and hopped in my car and went towards the graveyards. Parking my car by the roadside, I kept standing there while staring at the three graves in front of me with watery eyes.

After a while someone came and stood beside me. I was very sure about who it was but didn’t bother to look at him.

He also kept silent for sometime and when he spoke up, "Vaai..", I just left the place silently without turning back to him for once.

Hopping in my car, I drove away from there.

Roshni's P.O.V.

When I got back home, I found Ammi and Tithy gossiping excitedly about something. But seeing me, they stopped immediately.

Sensing something odd, I went upto them and asked, " What happened?"

Before Tithy could say something, Ammi spoke up, "Nothing. You go. Get freshen up."

Tithy was smiling mischievously. I was about to ask her about it, when Ammi spoke up again, "Get freshen up first. I need to talk to you."

I left from there while thinking about their strange behaviour. I got freshen up and went back to them.

I sat beside Ammi and asked her, "Now tell me. What's the matter?"

Ammi stared at me for a moment then caressing my hair, she spoke up, "Roshni, I think you should get married now."

I got utterly shocked and didn’t know what to answer.
