Chapter 219: Chapter 219

Necromancers—or, as they are sometimes called, undead summoners—are one of the professions tied to dark spiritual energy. People wouldn’t view this profession so negatively if all the necromancers didn’t try to attack the safe zone.

More importantly, humans have limited capability to pursue this path. Only a few become completely obsessed with dark spiritual energy and receive assistance from creatures of the dark realm can they become necromancers. Googlᴇ search novel⦿fire.net

Fortunately, necromancers have a weakness to light. Even powerful ones can summon undead that operate during the daytime, but they still suffer from the light element.

It’s not always the light element tied to sunlight, though. It could be a holy light, which only people with the priest profession can wield.

The good news is that you can still kill necromancers and their undead without holy light. Just be extra careful at night, when the undead grow stronger.

Not only the teachers from Golden Dawn Academy, but all the warriors present were already searching for clues.

Many people suspected the culprit—or, more precisely, the necromancer—had already fled the area, but Saint Markus insisted the perpetrator was still nearby.

There was a chance the culprit was hiding deep inside the danger zone. Another possibility was that the necromancer had come from the other side of the danger zone using some kind of teleportation technique.

Even powerful necromancers had their limitations. They couldn’t affect that part of the danger zone without getting close—at least within five kilometers.

All those who could wield the light element were guarded by other warriors. They served as trump cards against the undead.

As expected, it wasn’t long before Alexa and her group encountered a horde of undead monsters. Not just monsters, but undead humans as well.

One after another, the undead charged at them. Alexa sprang into action and vanished from her spot.

In the next instant, a massive explosion erupted not far away. At that moment, David and the others wouldn’t have recognized her—Alexa had transformed into a war goddess.

Her entire body began to glow with blinding brilliance, as if she had become light itself. One by one, she unleashed beams of light toward the oncoming undead.

As you might expect, she was one of the strongest light-element users. But don’t think she relied solely on light-elemental attacks.

Not just Alexa, but all the other warriors followed suit. They struck the monsters relentlessly, one after another.

Alexa spotted a group of flying monsters approaching, so she quickly gathered a massive amount of light energy in both hands and clapped them together.

In the next second, a powerful light beam surged toward the incoming foes. The intensity of that attack rivaled the sun’s heat.

Suddenly, the temperature in the area skyrocketed. Night turned to day, and many of the undead monsters screamed in agony.

Seizing the opportunity, the other light-element users unleashed their most powerful attacks on the monsters.

All 175 monsters were finally slain by the 50 warriors.

"Without a doubt, this commotion has drawn the necromancer’s attention. More undead might come for us.

So stay vigilant, everyone. Don’t drop your guard for even a second. Our fellow warriors will hear about this, and reinforcements could arrive soon.

The upside is that we’ve confirmed the necromancer is still here. Saint Markus might track down the culprit before we do."

Hearing Alexa’s words reassured many of the warriors, but none of them relaxed their defenses.

"I really wonder what’s going on in the danger zone. Earlier, I talked to my family, and they said many warriors suddenly got orders forbidding them from entering.

This must be connected to Teacher Alexa and the mission she accepted. Unfortunately, she didn’t tell you or Aurora anything. I’m dying to know what’s happening."

Kevin said this with disappointment. Not just Kevin, but Max, Jenny, and the others were equally curious.

Unfortunately, David and Aurora knew nothing about it.

"I think you two should try approaching Senior Alice. She’d definitely know something."

Lily suddenly suggested this to David and Aurora.

Hearing that, Max, Kevin, Jenny, Han, and Felicia all looked at them with keen interest.

"Unfortunately, I’ve never had the chance to talk to her, so I don’t know how to approach her. Have you gotten the opportunity to meet her?"

David asked Aurora. But it seemed Aurora hadn’t met Senior Alice either.

It wasn’t that Teacher Alexa didn’t want them to meet Alice. She simply hadn’t had the time to introduce them.

Alice was almost always busy with her training and missions. When she stayed at the academy, she received specialized training from Teacher Alexa.

Because of this, even many of their classmates hadn’t spoken to her. David and Aurora were in the same boat—they’d just been unlucky, as Senior Alice wasn’t around during the times they got guidance from Teacher Alexa.

"Well, forget about that. I’m heading back to my room."

David said goodbye to his friends.

"Yeah, yeah, we know it’s your gaming time. Sigh, I really want to know how you turned into such a game addict."

Kevin teased him, but David just ignored it.

"Let him play. Everyone has their own interests. Like you and your nonstop talking."

Lily shot back at Kevin, and instantly, Jenny and the others burst into laughter.

David wanted to return to his room as quickly as possible so he could log into the game and learn what was happening in the danger zone.

Only through the game could he find out. If necessary, he could even try to help Teacher Alexa if she was in trouble.

The question was, which part of the danger zone were they in right now? David didn’t know, but he had an idea how to find out.

David materialized in one of the border cities, summoning his phantom in the game. The moment he did, the Phantom Emperor appeared in real life.

Naturally, he concealed his face so no one would recognize him. After entering a branch of the Warrior Association, he approached a group of warriors.

They were deep in discussion with their teammates. David didn’t ask directly about the situation; he simply eavesdropped on their conversation.

’Fortunately, I don’t have to ask them about the danger zone.’

They were talking about border areas C and B. Even though other parts of the danger zone were closed, those two were the main focus.

It seemed only border areas C and B were drawing attention. After a while, he overheard that Teacher Alexa had entered border area B.

The instant David learned this, he didn’t waste a second and stored the Phantom in his inventory.

The moment David vanished from the spot, the warriors in discussion suddenly fell silent.

"I’m positive I saw someone standing there. Where’d he go?"

"I sensed someone too. Did we imagine it?"

It looked like everyone had sensed David when he got close. But as he disappeared abruptly, they all went on high alert.

Unfortunately, David didn’t care—he had already teleported into border city B.

Once he stopped using the Phantom, all restrictions were lifted for him. He could enter border city B freely, despite the lockdown.

After arriving in border city B, David headed straight for the danger zone entrance. As expected, the area was heavily guarded by strong warriors.

David felt no restrictions and walked right into the danger zone.
