Chapter 2: Chapter 2
Lorelai
I arrived at our apartment feeling so sick. When I opened the door Kelly is standing like she’s been waiting for me since yesterday. She look relieved to see me, I gasp when she run toward me and check me from head to toe.
“The princess finally showed up, where did you go last night? Not even bothering on answering the phone” She said in a stern tone. Well, no one can blame her it's the first time I did this, and I feel so drained to explain. I shrug and give her an I will explain later look. As the most understanding best friend she did not bother me because she know I’ll explain to her.
I took a shower and then sleep for a while. When I woke up, I quickly came to the kitchen to make myself a coffee. Kelly is sitting across me, waiting for me to say something.
“I met a man yesterday at the party.” I started, while looking at the steam from my coffee. I see a trace of excitement and curiosity on her face. “Something happened but I can’t really remember anything, other than we kissed.” I looked at her, I see that her excitement fades into disappointment.
“That’s it?! How about his name? Address?” She exclaimed. I shake my head in answer.
“We may see each other again if it's meant to be, you know. For now, that’s nothing.” We both finished our coffee and end our conversation.
Now, I am in front of my house all of my stuff is settled, except my clothes. I am holding my luggage as I open the door. But as soon as I opened the door, my face becomes pale as I see a topless man sitting on the sofa. He is also staring at me questioning.
“What are you doing here at my house?!” I screamed at the top of my lungs. I started throwing everything that I can reach.
He calmly comes nearer to me, dodging everything that I throw at him. I finally got a clear view of his face, I stopped when I realized who that is, the man from yesterday. I feel embarrassed and I could feel my cheeks getting hot.
He pinned me to the wall by putting his right hand on the wall, I can see him breathing.
“Your house? Are you perhaps following me?” He said while looking intently into my eyes finding the answer. I gasp as I see his adam's apple move.
‘Get a grip of yourself, Lorelai!’ I close my eyes and with all my might I push him. I quickly grabbed my phone and then dial the police.
On the line:
‘Hello, this is-’
“Help, there’s someone in my house! Come quick, 130 Hill, Magnolia Street-” My eyes widen when my phone died, ‘Ah! What great timing!’ I act like I’m about to throw the phone at the man.
He put both his hand up like he is surrendering. “Hey, chill. Why don’t you let me explain first?” He said in a smug tone, and even smirked! This man is getting on my nerves.
“Explain?! This is obviously trespassing. Get out of my house” I said while pointing at the door.
He raised his eyebrow while I furrowed mine. He seems so full of himself, he is getting annoying! I was about to throw the phone when he grabbed it, he is much taller than me I tried to get my phone but I can’t. He is now smiling mischievously, while I tiptoe. In the distance, I can hear the police siren getting nearer and nearer. We are in that position when the door suddenly opened. The cops are holding out their guns. “Freeze!”

Lorelai and Maxwell both ended up at the police station. They are getting asked a few questions so the situation can be settled.
“Who owns the house?” the police asked.
“Me.” they said and unison. Lorelai furrowed her brows and shake her head. ‘This man is crazy’ Lorelai said to herself.
“I have the title.” she said proudly as she rummage through her backpack. She gives the title to the police. The police checked it and confirmed that the house is hers.
Without saying anything Maxwell gave something to the police, a paper. “I also have the title, hmm... Do you perhaps think one of these might be fake?” he said shooting a doubtful gaze to Lorelai.
The police called an attorney since Lorelai insisted that they could find a solution to this problem.
“No, looks like both of you are indeed the legal owner of this house. This is complicated, however, this is stated in the title. Basically, the half belongs to you and the other belongs to him.” the attorney concluded.
“WHAT?!” Lorelai screamed as she stand up pacing back and forth.
“Then how do we solve this?” Maxwell said calmly. The attorney looks at them and sighs.
“One of you must sell the house or you divide the house. That is the quickest solution I could come up with. If you bring this to court this might take 3 years to be processed.” The attorney said as he check the titles.
‘I can’t give up this house this is my dream house!’ Lorelai said to herself.
‘This house was my childhood home, I can’t give it up to her!’ Maxwell said to himself.
“I’m not going to sell it-” they exclaimed in unison, “neither gonna divide it” said Lorelai.
“ I don’t mind sharing” Maxwell shrugged, teasing Lorelai.

I blinked when I hear that man say he doesn’t mind sharing at all. “I mind!” I screamed in front of him. “I will pay you the other half then you get out of my house,” I said sure, even though I don’t have enough money to pay the other half.
“Really, then where’s the money? I want full payment,” he said, putting his hand in his pocket.
I swallowed when he directly asked me that, now what?!
“How about whoever paid the other half first shall own the house? In a meantime we share?” I said. I looked at him, he is holding his chin, acting like he is thinking thoroughly.
“Deal?” I quickly said not thinking twice, then gesture my hand for a shake hand. “Deal.” He grabbed it, then we shake hands.
I am so dead! How did the man I had sex with yesterday is the same man I’ll be sharing my house with? The very house of my dreams. Arrrrgh! That man brings bad luck to me! Is this just a mere coincidence? But why does it feel like it's already planned out?
