Chapter 29: Chapter 29
Fast forward, two weeks passed and Louis went to the Hayden's Mansion with Miranda Alvan. He was getting used to her now and despite the fact that he couldn't feel the connection, he hoped to love her as his fiancé.
The kids were in the garden when they sighted their daddy's car. The first among the kids to jump up in excitement was Dora.
"Daddy is here, daddy is here" she exclaimed just as her brothers started running towards the car. Miranda Alvan immediately frowned upon seeing the kids.
These stupid kids will bring their miserable selves before her fiancée and start calling him their father. These mistakes of a child, conceived and born by accident. Mtchew, she hissed quietly.
As soon as Louis stepped out of the car, Dora ran towards her father "screaming daddy, daddy" and wanted to throw herself into his arms as always when Miranda pulled Louis away, dodging the hug and Dora fell face down.
The boys paused immediately and watched. If it were their dad's usual habit, he would have rushed forward to help Dora up but Louis Hayden stood and watched the girl.
Dora started sobbing. She clumsily helped herself to stand up and turned to glare at her father. Louis just glared at her with a sneer and walked away.
"Daddy, please carry me" Dora still pleaded and she ran towards her father again. Didn't he see her? Her daddy loves her very much. Why is he looking indifferent to her?
Louis turned sharply and glared at the girl "I am not your daddy. Who the hell brought these kittens here?" He was furious.
"Your mother picked them from the motherless home to raise them. They call every man they see as their father. They can be so annoying" Miranda Alvan bellowed.
"How can Mom bring things like these here? They are only screaming and disturbing the quietness in this Mansion. Send them to motherless children home. Not here!" Louis bellowed.
The servants shivered. Motherless children home? The President doesn't remember his own children as well?
It would be better for Dr Pamela to come for her kids. They didn't know what Mrs Leah would say, but they needed to act fast.
"You, send these things to motherless children home. Do it now" Louis ordered. But then, a cold shiver ran through his spine.
The boys ran and hugged their sister. The four of them started sobbing. Why is their daddy talking about them like this?
"Kids, come over" The servants said and handed them over to the bodyguard. "Send them home to their mother instead"
The rumour spreading in the Mansion that Louis Hayden has lost his memory was true. If he couldn't even remember his own children, what is their fate?
Louis suddenly became angry for no just reason. He was uneasy after sending those children away. The girl called him "daddy"
He could have at least treated her fairly. Why can't he remember anything? Seeing that Louis' mood had swunged, Miranda Alvan cursed silently, why couldn't these kids stay away from Louis, why do they have to bring themselves before him?
"Where's my mom?" Louis asked and the servant said she went out with his dad. Louis ordered Miranda Alvan to come along, and they were returning home.
Pamela received a call that her kids were being sent back to her. She said okay and hung up. She hoped Louis hadn't forgotten about them as well?
They will really be hurt when they see him reject them and say things about not knowing them. She just hopes their coming back to her has no strings attached.
But when the kids were brought and they threw themselves on their Mom sobbing. She tried to pacify them but she couldn't, the kids couldn't get themselves to stop sobbing.
"What happened to them?" She asked the Hayden's Mansion bodyguard. She recognised him as one of Ellis Hayden's bodyguards.
"President Hayden couldn't recognise them as well" he said helplessly. Pamela nodded and pulled the kids to herself and pacified them.
"Don't be upset. Your daddy cannot recognise anyone for now. But give him a little time, kids. He would return to us eventually" Pamela coaxed.
In Middletown City , grand nanny was feeling unwell. She hung it on the heartbreak that Pamela's leaving left in her. She assumed it's a hollow and it would eventually go.
But days passed and she wasn't getting better. Queen Clarion came over to check on her. Clarion and grand nanny have amazing relationships with each other.
At times, it seemed like they were friends. Clarion was still a younger woman if compared to grand nanny, but then, they shared a cordial relationship.
"The doctor will be here soon, grand nanny" Clarion said, sitting on the edge of grand nanny's bed with her queen's gown and a sceptre at hand.
She was in the royal court when grand nanny's personal maid informed her that grand nanny wasn't feeling well for days.
"Thank you Clarion. But I really want to ask you for a favour," the grand nanny said, trying to raise herself to a sitting position.
Her maid came over quickly and helped her to sit down. Clarion waited until she sat comfortably and said "Make your request grand nanny"
Grand nanny spoke in low tones to Clarion and soon, the queen shook her head and said "I shall discuss it with the King"
"Thank you, your majesty" grand nanny appreciated, clasping her old wrinkled hands together.
Clarion touched her clasp hands with her sceptre and said "May you be happy until your last breath" her majesty blessed and hurriedly left.
Grand nanny saw the tear filled eyes of the queen and sighed. She knew this would break her majesty's mind. But she has to do what she has to.
Clarion went into her chambers and sobbed. She sank into her sofa and shoved her crown and sceptre aside.
"Alice, my dear child…" she sobbed more, her tears running down her cheeks. Had she ever known that a day was coming when something like this was going to happen?
She needs to talk to Tarvan as soon as possible. His highness was getting farther from her on a daily basis. His three concubines need his attention and time.
She hadn't really been alone with him after the coronation. She needs to see him as soon as possible. She cleaned her tears. She must talk with his highness that night.
She sent a servant to his highness that she needs to see him and it's important. But the servant couldn't get to his highness, as he was with one of the concubines and her moan was echoing repeatedly within the environs of his highness Chambers.
Her majesty, queen Clarion waited the entire night and Tarvan didn't come nor did he send for her to come over. It was close to midnight, she decided to stroll over to his highness Chambers, at least he would be through with any of his concubines already.
But as she approached, she heard the noise from a distance. As she approached, it was clear. The shameless concubine doesn't know that her moan of ecstasy was echoing beyond the inner Chambers.
Clarion felt ashamed. What nonsense! Is Tarvan so carried away that he cannot caution her or better still get something to gag her mouth?
The guards were standing stationed at the door. She imagined the torment they probably might be going through at the moment?
She knocked on the door and waited. The moan was too loud for Tarvan to hear that someone was at the door. Clarion turned around and left.
Another woman was getting fucked by her husband. It is only normal for her jealousy to rise within her. It's not like she's convenient for the past few weeks that Tarvan was always with his concubines, but she must have to accept it that way.
She's never interfered with his romances. But what she heard filled her head with images and imagination. She hissed between gritted teeth and shut the door of her chambers on herself.
Alice wants her father to accept her child no matter what happens. But her father doesn't seem concerned and interested in Pamela anymore. He's busy satisfying his shameless concubines.
In Oak City, Louis was sad. He stood by the window of his bedroom and looked out. His mind had no rest from the moment he saw those kids in his parent's Mansion.
The little girl called him daddy and ran towards him. He doesn't know her. He'd never met her but he felt sad sending her and her friends away.
He can't possibly be related to her, right?
