Chapter 156: Chapter 156

Ellis felt terrible. Things can't end this way. Leah loves him a lot. She can't send him away, just like that. What about their lives that would be affected, what about their son and grandchildren, what about the love they shared all these years?

"Don't push me off, Leah. I'm still your Ellis. We can put this behind us, we can make it good again. I mean I will right my wrongs and I'll return to be the man you've always loved" Ellis pleaded.

Leah felt like puking blood. What is this cheat of a husband saying? How does he intend to right all the wrongs he'd done to her? How will he earn her trust again for the rest of her life?

"Will you kill your mistress and her kids? How do you intend to make everything good again? Do you think I am still gullible to be persuaded so cheaply?

Just get away and await my lawyer. We are getting divorced Ellis, this marriage is over" Leah blurted.

***********

Louis and Pamela arrived at the police station. The lovers alighted together and Louis led the way while Pamela followed.

When he stepped in, he was greeted by Miranda Alvan's lawyer. He bowed slightly and asked if Louis Hayden can avail him some minutes to talk to him privately.

"My fiancée wants to meet with her," Louis replied, his gaze fixed on Pamela. And as a matter of fact, he won't be having a private discussion with Miranda's lawyer.

The lawyer glanced and saw Dr Pamela. He recognised her at once. The two women were rivals over Louis Hayden, he remembered that correctly.

"She might not be willing to see Dr Pamela" the lawyer politely rebuffed. Seeing Miranda Alvan now, is a sign of humiliation to her. She wouldn't want to see her.

"My fiancée came all the way here to meet her, and we must see her. Now, lead us to her" Louis ordered.

The few police officers around beckoned the lovers to come over and Louis walked past Miranda's lawyer into a secluded room.

The door was pushed open and Louis strolled in. Miranda saw Louis and stood up quickly. She smiled and said "I know you would come, Louis"

Then she saw a feminine figure walk in and responded "He didn't come to see you, he accompanied me" Pamela said and walked over to stand near Miranda.

"You have just twenty minutes" the police officer announced and stepped out. Miranda's lawyer walked in and the four of them were being monitored through a transparent demarcation.

Miranda Alvan's complexion went Pale at the sight of Pamela. What had she come over to do? She didn't request to see her but Louis.

She would make mockery of her and make a ridicule of her. She glared at Pamela with a killing intent. She won this time. She has taken back her man.

"Miranda Alvan. The woman who takes advantage of men when they lose their memory, how have you been?" Pamela asked and chuckled aloud.

"Don't even bother answering me. I know you are not feeling well at all. Your neck is now longer and skinny than it used to be.

What happened to you that you looked so famished and malnourished? Were you not being fed while in prison? You're so ugly and disgusting…" Pamela was saying when her lawyer interrupted her.

"Dr Pamela. You should choose your words wisely when you talk to my client. You have no right to dehumanize her with your words'' he protested.

"You should also have tutored your client that what goes around, comes around. My fiancée is only concerned about her disgusting and irritating looks. You should thank her for being so nice" Louis Hayden snapped at the lawyer.

The lawyer glared at Louis Hayden and then at Pamela. The two lovers seemed to be enraged by his words. These are powerful people, he should tread gently.

"I want to talk to you alone, Louis. No matter what happened, I was your wife at the time. Give me some respect" Miranda Alvan requested.

"If you have anything to say, I'd advise you to just go ahead and say it. I am not leaving my man for a second with you. You are not to be trusted" Pamela snorted.

Miranda Alvan glanced at her lawyer and he said "Miranda Alvan deserves some privacy. If she wants to talk to her ex husband, then let her be" her lawyer solicited.

"Unfortunately for her, I have chosen my first ex-wife. Since Pamela also is my ex-wife, I'd rather go with her" Louis declared and beckoned to Pamela to come along. The two lovers turned and started walking out. Pamela is not happy, she hasn't told her the real reason she came to see her.

Miranda's lawyer immediately sent an eye signal to her. If she let Louis Hayden walk out on her, she might not be able to strike the deal with him again.

"Alright, stop" Miranda Alvan called them back. She has to be the yielding one here. If it weren't for what Louis had done to her, Pamela wouldn't be able to trample on her.

Louis didn't want to stop, but Pamela tucked him into it. She wants to give the slut a piece of her mind. For that singular reason, she urged Louis to stay and listen to her bullshit of a deal.

"I want to strike a deal with you, Louis Hayden. It's a win-win situation. Are you in or not?" She demanded.
