Chapter 150: Chapter 150
Ellis Hayden affairs of many years exposed. His pictures were everywhere on the internet. He was described as a two faced man.
On one side is his eldest son Louis and his mother, Leah Hayden and on the other hand is his younger son and daughter with their mother, his mistress.
He has two families and only associates himself publicly with the legitimate one. He is not transparent and honest.
The two scandals merged together and became a household discussion. From that evening all through to midnight, the internet was flooding with negative comments.
Though being locked up in the company, Ellis Hayden could access the events of the evening from his phone. He was going through them and couldn't believe his ears how soon information had been gathered about him and his son.
He tried to leave the conference hall but the elevators were locked. His kids found themselves an office and folded in a corner to ruminate over their stupidity but Celina Delmark stayed still and watched Ellis' tense state of mind.
Their lives had taken a different turn. The kids want to be recognised and now, they got the recognition but it isn't the way it should be.
She can imagine the trauma that Leah Hayden is going through. She also knew that the moment they stepped their feet outside the premises of the Hayden cooperation, their lives were never going to be the same again.
Pamela tried calling Louis Hayden but he would not answer his phone. She was worried sick. Louis is not going to find it funny.
Battling with the outbreak of his own scandal, how will he cope with his father's? How will he manage his mother's emotional state and the business entirely?
He needs her. But he wasn't answering his phone. She was worried sick. How dare Fred Meyer involve social media in this rivalry?
Could that be the reason why Louis is not answering his phone? They just got back together. They needed time together alone in their privacy. These whole shit might drift them further apart
She tried one more time and he still didn't answer his phone. Louis couldn't answer as a matter of fact. He was busy, doing some online deletion of the scandals alongside battling on saving Hayden's cooperation.
No matter what happens, he won't let the business collapse on him. He wouldn't mind the scandal about himself but that of his father.
Trying to defend himself will mar everything. How can he come out and tell everyone that he is in love with Pamela and not Miranda without appearing stupid?
A lot of people knew about his marriage to Miranda but only a handful knew about his divorce with her. There's no use defending himself, character and reputation.
But the company will make his mother shattered if he can't do anything about it. She's suffering already, he cannot allow another calamity to weigh her down more than she already was.
Romeo was busy himself. They must get rid of this news before dawn. This is disastrous. It was as if the entire city had stayed awake, refusing to sleep.
Comments and criticism were coming in their millions. What is wrong? Did everyone in the city stay awake to see the scandal?
Pamela thought of an idea, she needed to contact someone trusted in Middletown City. She needs to deal with Fred Meyer and shut him up forever.
The best way to cover up the scandal with Louis, is to find something more outrageous about Fred Meyer or his family. Many families always have a secret they conceal for many years such as Ellis Hayden and Celina Delmark's affairs.
She thought of who to call and eventually settled for her grandfather's assistant. She kept trying to call Louis. Eventually she called one of the servants to check on him in his room.
In Middletown City, Susana and her mother got into the palace. When they did, Susana remembered when she was young, when she still answers the name Alice Johnson. How she runs around the palace. Her grandparents were fond of her.
It's been many years but she remembered everything to the time she left the palace. A lone tear dropped and she sniffled silently. She swallowed hard and didn't let her mother suspect anything.
But when she remembered how she missed her family it hurts her, especially as she was not there to witness her grandparents burial, it makes her feel like an unfilially daughter.
Everyone came out to welcome the queen and was surprised that she returned with a Nun.
Clarion was given the honour of a queen and taken to her chambers, but Susana insisted that she occupy a different room from her mother.
At the queen's approval, she was taken to the guest room. The news of the queen's arrival got to Tarvan but he didn't react to it.
He was told the queen came along with a Nun, he didn't react either. Alice disappeared from Middletown City and from their lives for many years and now, returns as a Nun.
He actually wasn't expecting her to come over nor did he expect that Clarion would not sign the divorce papers yet. He remained in his chambers and only stepped out for dinner.
The King arrived late. Clarion and Susana were already seated. Susana stood up when her father arrived but Clarion did not. She bowed slightly while still seated but didn't stand up to honour the king.
"Good day, Your highness" Susana bowed slightly but Tarvan treated her as air and sat down. He glared at his wife and then at Susana still standing.
Did she only return because Alice is back? Is she lingering to sign the divorce simply because Alice is alive and has returned?
She'd always wanted the throne for Pamela. And now that Alice is back, she decided to come back, hopefully Alice would take her place as the crowned princess.
Whatever the reason, that's her problem. He is just speculating. She might have returned because of other reasons.
The three concubines also came over and took their place. Susana sat down and everyone was silent. It is evident that there is a cold war going on between the king and the Queen mother.
The Queen left and only returned several months later. Nothing is said about her whereabouts and why she was confined within her chambers back then.
The Kind of bond between the king and the queen is such that no one can understand. And it's obvious that his highness loves her majesty very much.
But this woman behind a veil, who is she? The King can't possibly have married another woman, right? Or could she really be a Nun?
Whatever it is, she should unveil herself so that they would all know her. The King seemed unworried about the fact that he's sharing a table with a veiled woman.
Susana had made up her mind to help her parents get back together. No matter what happens, they shouldn't resort to divorce as the only way out.
Midway through the meal, Tarvan dropped his cutleries and set his gaze on his daughter "Don't veil your face when you are before me" he declared.
Susana bowed slightly "Alright your highness" She responded. But Tarvan snapped at her "I am not his highness to you, Alice. You still haven't realised the pain you made us all go through?"
The other concubines bowed their heads as the king's fury surged. Did he call the woman behind the veil Alice? Isn't that the name of the princess, the eldest daughter of his highness?
"I think you shouldn't talk over dinner. Why don't you…" Clarion intervened when Tarvan cut her short "You keep your advice to yourself. I will ask you for it if ever, I need it"
There was silence everywhere. Susana sighed softly. Her parents are holding grudges in their hearts against each other. She closed her eyes and made a silent prayer to the creator.
Oh Creator, please help me. I need Mom and dad to get together…
Tarvan lost interest in his meal. He stood up to leave as the guard came over quickly and pulled his seat backwards.
Susana also stood up quickly "I would like to have a word with you and Mom, father" Susana requested, bowing slightly.
Father? She called the King father??
