Chapter 140: Chapter 140

Louis was watching, he kept glancing at the door at every interval. Eventually, he saw Pamela approaching and closely behind her is Ethan carried by his nanny.

She decided to bring Ethan so his dad can see him. They probably haven't gotten intimate with each other. She looked gorgeous in a purple gown.

Her hourglass figure outlined underneath the dress and she wore a stilettos. Her jewelers were glittering and she wore a mild makeup.

But no matter how mild her makeup was, her beauty is second to none. It's said that royalty is in the blood but more than that, beauty is also in the genes.

She stood out among the ladies present. When Louis saw her approaching, he smiled and walked towards her.

He hugged her and kissed her temple "You always take my breath away with your beauty and gorgeousness and even now, you still take my breath away" He complimented her.

Pamela smiled and said "You know you are the cutest guy in town and your handsomeness is second to none" Pamela reciprocated before adding "Anyways, thanks for your compliment"

"You are welcome, love" he appreciated and circled his hand around her waist. Then he turned to glance at the young woman holding a baby "That's my Ethan" he said, walking past Pamela to the woman.

Louis saw his son and smiled broadly. He wanted to take the baby but the nanny wouldn't, she held Ethan tight against herself, and Louis was provoked.

"I'm his father," he bellowed. He glared at the nanny coldly. What the heck! She should look at the baby's face and look at him. Isn't the resemblance striking? His kids take after him more than they do to their mother.

Louis' words made Pamela remember something quickly. Her instruction to the nanny was that she shouldn't let anyone carry Ethan without her consent.

She turned quickly and came to Louis "I'm sorry Louis, she was simply following my orders" Pamela apologised and glance towards the nanny "He is Ethan's dad"

Alyana bowed slightly and said "I'm sorry" Only then did she release Ethan to his dad. The little boy seemed excited and he kicked playfully. He started blabbing and moving his little hand towards his dad's face.

"My son," Louis exclaimed. He raised him towards his face and kissed his chubby cheeks, buried his face on his little body and felt his warmth.

"I'm your daddy. I love you and your siblings" he kissed Ethan again. His words and actions made Pamela go emotional.

This is how things should have been. She watched Ethan giggled playfully and kicked, he was blabbing, he seemed to be talking to his dad happily.

Louis was smiling, glaring at him. No one present matters to him at the moment. Everyone around passed a quick glance at the president of Hayden's cooperation and smiled.

"I missed you too son, We've met now, and I'm going to be a good dad henceforth" Louis assured. He just uttered words coming from his heart.

He doesn't know if that is the right response to the baby's giggling and blabbing, but what he guessed was that the boy was probably making a complaint.

Pamela and the nanny exchange glances at Louis' words. Pamela sighed and wanted to take the baby when Leah Hayden walked towards them.

"Good to see you again, Honey" she said, placing her hand across Pamela's shoulders. Thank goodness she came. She will want to have a word with her after the party.

"Good to see you Mrs Hayden" Pamela responded and gently moved away from that spot, causing Leah's hand to fall off.

"Would you please spare me a few minutes of your time after the party?" Leah requested, her gazing shifting from Pamela to her son.

Louis' gaze was on her, staring at her coldly. She knew what he probably was thinking in his mind, but she's sorry for the pain and heartache she had caused them both.

"If I feel like it, I will see you and if not, don't come after me" Pamela replied and walked away. She left Louis standing with the baby in his arms.

He turned and watched her retreating back view. She told him to apologise to his mom and reverse the ties he severed with her. But she's still so hurt because of what she'd done to her.

Suddenly, he felt someone was taking Ethan away and he glanced at who it was, it's Leah. She wants to carry him but Louis frowned.

"No, I don't want you anywhere close to my son" Louis snapped at his Mom. She should have just walked away. But no, she loved her grandson but didn't care about her grandson's parents and their love life.

"You can't deprive me of my joy as a grandmother. Whatever grudge you have with me, let it end there. Don't separate me from my children, they are my blood" Leah cautioned.

"He would have been born within the marriage circle but he wasn't, all because you hated his Mom. I would have watched my son grow in his mother's belly, but that also was not possible, thanks to your malicious act.

Aren't you ashamed to call a child whose parents you split apart as your grandson? Do you think you are qualified to refer to him as your blood?" Louis declared.

Without waiting for his Mom to give him a response, he walked past her. His dad seemed worried. He was glancing at his phone, and didn't take notice of the riffle between his wife and son.

Louis found Pamela talking to some guest present and he went to her, asking her to spare him a few minutes "I'm sorry Pamela, but I need to make a few corrections. I hope you don't get upset about it" he pleaded.

Pamela shrugged. She doesn't know exactly what he wants to correct, but she doesn't mind whatever he does, provided he is doing the right thing.

Louis went ahead and introduced everyone present and welcomed them. He did the same with Pamela and when it got to Ethan, he introduced him as his son with Dr. Pamela.

There was murmuring in the hall. Wasn't the President married to Miranda Alvan? He saw heads turning and glaring at each other, none seemed to understand what he meant.

He chuckled aloud and said "Miranda Alvan and I are divorced. Dr. Pamela and I have been together for a few years, our quadruplets are almost seven and this is our latest baby together.

Whatever you've heard or read on social media was all my fault. I was experiencing a severe breakdown at the time of the senseless utterances and claims.

But the truth is that Dr. Pamela and our kids are the centre of my life. They matter more to me than anything else in this world…" Louis explained, looking from one person to the other.

Suddenly, a voice came from behind "Do you mean the severe breakdown is Amnesia? Were you really having a psychiatric issue, or what exactly is the severe breakdown you meant?"
