"Who is there?" Amanda answered. It was Amanda that opened the door and wanted to close it back when she saw me.
"No way" I said
"No way bro, you getting indulged in such an abominable act and you want to come in here. How could you? I respected you much more than anyone else. I am so disappointed in you, just go and let my sister rest, you...."
"Enough! I still remain your elder brother and you don't talk to me in that manner"
"I know you.."
" Keep quiet " I shouted in anger making her flinch. Tunde then came to the door way and asked me in.
"What happened?" He asked
"Yes I know I made a mistake, but that doesn't mean I have to give my wife up. We would patch things up. She needs to know the reason behind all what happened. Amanda you can't let her leave me or would you think I'd advice you to leave your husband if he makes a mistake?. She is my wife and will forever be.
Mark my words Amanda, We will be together again. I just have to make her understand everything was a mistake and I acted out of duress and sadly it was for our sake"
"How?" Sandra asked quietly

"Of course, Precious and I were friends. She knew how you were of and on with our relationship. Few times you came to the US back then you always rush back to meet your sister. I was starved and unfortunately we had sex one day. She hinted me she wanted us more than friends since you were barely around but I refused the advances. Then I told her I was moving back to Nigeria , thinking she would forget about me and move on. Not long ago I just saw in my company office and demanded we continued from we stop else she would tell you about the mistakes that happened between us.

My phone began ringing. I picked on the third ring, I wasn't willing to but was persuaded by Sandra.
"Hello?"
" I heard you are in Lagos, so I am now" I would recognize that voice anywhere anytime.
Now the phone is on loud speaker
" What do you want Precious? Haven't you done enough, please let me be" I said firmly trying to control my temper. " I don't want to see you anymore, I want to make things right with my marriage "
"But Iyke can't you see, I Love you" she blurt out
" I Love my wife "
" Then I'll tell her, I will tell her we had sex and you've been hiding it, you sure don't want her to know . So come meet me now or else... "
"Else what! You daughter of witch" Sandra said bitterly. " I know everything and there's nothing to tell "
Amanda snatched the phone from her sister
" Precious or whatever did they name you. Why sound so desperate? Why are you forcing yourself on another woman's husband. You say you're in Lagos abi? Please don't let us meet ooo because even heaven won't recognise you " Amanda said standing as if she was facing precious in person.
Tunde was just staring at us all.
" I better leave before the whole of your family come beat me up Mtchew "
"No oo stay there and wait for me" Amanda wasn't calming
"You know what; bye" she hung up
When she hung up, I couldn't hold back the sobs that escaped from my chest. I don't know how but I found Sandra's head on my chest. I quickly pulled her more closer as if she would disappear.
"I'm sorry for the hurt, I'm sorry for the tears in your eyes. I know I was a fool and I regret." I said looking into my wife's eyes.
Tunde was pulling his wife away as she shouted "it's not over yet; my apologizes too"
"I'm still seeking the forgiveness of the world's Best wife... Yours sincerely, the world's dumbest husband"
"And I love him like that" she smiled
