As soon as we got off the plane,I turned on my phone and it felt like I had million of e-mails, voice notes and text messages. I never knew a lot of people knew me or would I rather say I never knew I was popular.
This is what happened
Dad and baba had insisted Tunde and I took a week out of the country to any of our choice. I opposed because I saw no reason for it, we have been together all these while with the kids, so no need.Aside the fact that Sandra was no longer working with me and I had to resume work fully;flesh and blood.
Baba blunty refused, I had the feeling he was still trying to get the good side of Tunde, he has been doing much ever since we got back.
Last, last sha! We agreed
Just ME and Tunde. The kids were supposed to stay with my sister but her phone have not been going through and even Iyke came to take David..
"Welcome back Mr and Mrs Ayotunde and ermm congratulations" Salisu our former gateman greeted and surprisingly Tunde shot him a glare. I just smiled to the man, making a mental note to scold him later.
(Remember salisu our gateman, the house Bimpe sold;well Tunde retained him and well since he could drive, he was the complex driver until we... You know! I rose from the dead.)
"We have to stop by the hospital first,sorry but I need to discuss some stuffs with Ahmed and the gang"
"The gang " I laughed
Ahmed was getting married and Tunde was part of the gang.... The groomsmen.
"No problem; but this is not the road to the hospital, I remember" she said.
“Well, I want to pick up a member from one house there before we get going”
It was an exclusive and expensive estate I must say, the building was wow! This guy of the gang must be very rich, because this house would cost millions. I would definitely beg my husband for a house like this, when we leave.
“Come on love” asking me to get down I reluctantly got out and walked to the door. Tunde just walked into the house without knocking. I gave him a stern look.
“It’s okay, relax! He told us to meet him at the backyard” he said the house was nice, but it was unfurnished.
I figured maybe the guy just bought the house. As soon as we opened the double French door I-heard
“SURPRISE”
I was extremely shocked I couldn’t speak for a while, I stood on the same spot until I felt tinny hands rap my legs. “Mummy mummy’s Samuel and Sebastian chorused while the traitor Sophia just went to meet her daddy.
Then I noticed our family friends and few co workers (well except Sandra and her family).
“ what is going on?” I asked.
"OUR NEW HOME"
Tears trilled down my face I don’t know how but they just fell.
How is my husband so amazingly? He spoils me and my children to no extent and showers us with much more love than expected.
The children ran back to the swing set leaving sabastine behind he just stood close to me observing my face, I guessed he notice I was crying earlier from all the excitement.
“ I was crying because I was so happy to see you, your brother and sister and see daddy bought us this beautiful house” he noded and urged me to carry him. And just when I did he use is little hand to clean the tears on my face. I couldn’t help but smile .
My baby, is just so sweet, my look alike and my favorite.
