I practically was running home after the pool incident with Chris yelling my name to stop me and maybe explain how pathetic I was for stopping to listen to his crap...., thankfully mum was still going to be at work till at least 3:30 pm if not she would bombard me with irrelevant questions. It wasn't yet school over but i didn't care.I wanted to get home and bury myself in my blankets...
And that's what I was already doing....I was curled under my blankets...sobbing. never in my entire life was I called pathetic and less important...
First one no dey pain but second one dey pain pass !!! My subconscious said in a mock consoling tone making me groan
I wasn't making my humiliation easier to bear....what nonsense is this sef ...
I wronged chris...maybe because I was kinda jealous of how Helen seemed to swoon over him...
But wait ooh....since when did I start caring whether Helen or Chris were aiming to be a couple....
No since when did i even care about helen???? So far as i know she was just a major busybody and self appointed boss of ss2b class...she wasn't even worth my time...I don't like her and she doesn't like me....shikina!!!
And as for chris... the dude just showed up acting nice around me...from the ear warmer to saving me from falling like how those cliche zee world precisely ' twist of fate' esp ahbi and pragya twisted stupidity in the drama...chris saved me from doubting the law of gravity...okay that would ever be my stupidity if i did that.....and what else did he save me from???
He made the ten seconds I had with him look like forever....for once in my life I felt what it's like to hug a hot shirtless guy...geez...my cheeks burn...
Is it me or the blanket???
And so after all that what did christy...yes me my ever loving jerk-like character display..??? Two...no three times I had a human beans nice to me and three times i fashyed his nice mr.cool attitude and the result??? I got what i asked for didn't I?

"Knock knock" someone called out of my door as you can guess I had it locked
"Go away" I groan not removing the blanket
"Christy what's with you na? Abeg open the door jare "
I knew that voice...no other person than....
I sighed deeply "suzy if you don't get out of that door now I swear if I come out I'll whack your head " I retort
They were empty talks anyway cause i knew....both of us knew i wouldn't do it....BUT again never you underestimate my ability
I once shoved suzy's head in a water closet while beating her with a spatula... she had dared me that day and my nerves which i tried to preserve were exhausted and then hell opened the flood gates. If not for mum and dad suzy would have been in coma for the next 4 years and still wouldn't recover from the beating after being discharged....
"But it's both of us room na" she said with a lace of desperation in her voice
"And so???" I asked nonchalantly
"That's why i hate sharing room with you" she whined
I kinda felt bad about what just happened.she was right...I just was so much pissed off and embarrassed about what happened in school and here I was being my best self by practically shutting her out of the room. I sighed deeply taking off the blanket to lazily walk off and push open the door when....

Suzy was nowhere near my door and in came the triumphant grand entry of bubbie and shola as they hopped on my bed not before tossing their school bags on the floor.
"Where's suzy " I asked no one in particular but well shola replied
"I don't know" she shrugged

"Umm..somewhere around...I think i saw her in the sitting room sulking to herself "bubbie said
"SUZY!!!!" I yell hoping for a reply
"You're free to eat the room...your welcome" she say...and I think I got the reply.
I sigh closing the door behind me as i turned to my girlfriends...they were already munching the pop corn they claimed they brought for me.
"Una weldone ooh" I say going over to crawl on my bed.
"Bae wetin come happen na ? Why you commot school early " bubbie says in total pidgin english
"Bubbie...you won't understand "I say ignoring her pidgin english
I also speak pidgin but family background...if mum hears a hint of pidgin english in the house...that day you'll have to explain what you used your school fees money to do....so I rarely use it.
"Is it because of you and chris squabble? " shola says through a mouthful of popcorn as my head shoots up sharply
"How do you know? "I asked curiously
"Trust kemi na...radio without battery.."bubbie says rolling her eyes
"She was busy announcing that you and chris had a couple squabble at the locker room....and to make Matters worse chris had asked her if she saw you..."
"She actually said that, that had confirmed her suspicion about you and chris... since then sef helen hasn't even been herself " shola said now drinking water from her water can

"Bae you and this kind pidgin sef isn't it school you just left now? Shola retorts quite pissed

"Alright..abeg don't come and fight here ooh...the main thing here is why Kemi is being an idiot" I asked angrily digging my hands into the popcorn bag as I took a mouthful
"Do I know?..I tell you dat girl is pure amibo " bubbie says ignoring shola's harsh glare...
I chuckled....this is actually funny
Now the whole school thinks chris and i are a couple

And Helen ??? Just over some hours I left school and all this rubbish talk sprang out from the mouth of one talkative called kemi
What would chris even say about this sef...he'd probably do the same thing I'm doing right now
I'm wondering how people can be so messed up???
I know kemi mattews...she was in the art class..every single thing that happened in school was always brought to light by kemi even if it happened between you and your ghost. Kemi was sure to be aware....
But the worst part of this her gossip amibo lifestyle was that she mostly passed fake and untrue rumors around....is it because she wanted to still maintain her status as miss blabby? No one I think would like to drag that position with her....

"So that's the anthem of today's incident na? Shey .oya come and be going " I say literally dragging the both girls out of my room...
"Wait are you chasing us out..." shola ask
"What did you think I was doing? Ushering you in ehn " I reply sacarsticaly
"This girl you're not normal..." bubbie says and i roll my eyes as we step out to the door.suzy was curled up in the sofa fast asleep...
"Abeg shola put hand for me let me carry her to the room " I say and shola agrees as we lay suzy on her bed which was neatly arranged. Then stepping out again
"Let me walk you two to the gate..." I say
"Ehn beta pikin na...abeg jare.." bubbie snorts just then mum pulls her car up

" good afternoon ma" shola and bubbie chorus bending one knee slightly with a smile

After quite a long chit chat with mum i finally say
"Bubbie, shola....I think i wouldn't make it in escorting you both out oh..thanks for coming...."
"Are you okay?" Mum asks taken me aback as the both girls chuckle
"C'mon see them off jare "she said then turning to the both girls "don't mind her....greet your mummy for me okay"
"Okay ma...thanks alot"
"No problem...christy is suzy home? "
"She's asleep"
"Alright...come back before your curfew ooh "
"Okay mum" I reply...my curfew was at six and this was just 5:30 pm
"Thanks guys for coming over " I said as shola chuckled
"You've said that a million times already "
"After she practically threw us out " bubbie reply playfully and i smiled
"It was for the best"
"Your mum is nice actually..." shola says
"Yeah right...thanks" I say...today was actually not humiliating like i thought it would be
