"What do you?"

"Here, here."

"Hey, little girl. You're so pretty."

"Oh, let's hurry and take her home."

I simultaneously hear the voices of three different men. I looked up and gasped when i noticed three guys almost identical to Terry suddenly appeared out of nowhere.

"Where did you all come from...? Are you guys really here? Am i hallucinating now? " I asked them, taking a step back as the guys huddled around me, Terry stopped them by standing in between me and them. He had his evil grin on his smile. How did I even believe that he will help me at first? Alex is far better than him.

"So she's the one." A guy look like Terry with the brown eyes asked and they all nodded. I moved a step back as he frowned.

"We're Quadruplets brothers. Monozygotic quadruplets. I am Chris." Another Terry introduced himself . I stood still, contemplating whether I should run or just scream for help. Although, I know it's not going to help me at all.

"We don't have time to explain her about ourselves now-"

Terry didn't even finish, I pushed past them and started running, desperately to escape from him. But they caught me within no time. All the Terry guys are looking at me annoyed.

Suddenly, someone placed a cloth on my face and I gasped for air, struggling to free from his tight grip. The stench of something went through my nose before I fall limp onto his arms helplessly.

I opened my eyes open and stood up with a gasp before walking around the unfamiliar room. Where am I? Last thing i remember is that Terry brothers surrounded me.

"Looks like you had good sleep, my little mate?" asked one of the guys, who were now walking up to me as I backed further against the sofa. Four guys walked towards me.

"What's wrong?"

"Are you mad?"

"Sick or hungry?" Another guy asked . Why do they have to be identical?

Terry's lookalike brothers are Chris, Trevor and Henry. They wore silver chains with their initials engraved boldly in it. Terry is exception.

"That's not good, you have to be healthy to attend the party tonight."

My eyes widened at Terry's words.

"What do you mean? How long was i am out? " I asked them .

"You slept only one night." Trevor grinned and it took me a few seconds to take in his words.

"I have to go back. Alex might be looking for me." I stood up but froze when they blocked my path.

"You're not getting away that easily."

"Yes, we need you to get rid of Ivanov brothers."

" What? Why? " I asked them curiously. I knew that there was nothing I can do to escape from the vampires. Maybe, it's about time humans stood up and fought back against the vampires.

I am curious to know why they had this sudden interest in me.

"What do you want from me? Who are you? Are you-"

"We're the Mendez family . Heard of us?" Chris questioned and my eyes widened at his words.

"Were you the ones invading ivanov territories. but still why? Why you are looking for me ?-"

"Already told you, we need you to get rid of the Ivanovs. Now stop asking too many questions and get ready for tonight." Terry said rudely, walking past me impatiently and went out of the room.

"What's tonight?"

"Yes, yes, there is a party tonight. The Ivanov brothers will be present too." Trevor whispered, What was up with this guy??

"But you'll be accompanying us, of course." Henry said cheerfully. "So, don't try anything funny okay?" he added with a warm smile.

"Unless you want to die." Chris finished letting my heart race at his words.

"If I come to this party, will you let me go then?" I asked them . Henry embrace me with an unexpected hug, making my body stiffen at his touch.

"Of course," he mumbled. "Not." He added and I instantly jerked away before glaring at him.

"Oh don't be like that. We aren't going to hurt you unless you don't do what we tell you to do. We just need your help." Chris told me and give me an apologetic look. I nodded my head as I learnt if I didn't agree,they might kill me. They are named merciless Mendez for a reason. Also this wasn't so bad , if they fight against Ivanov brothers, maybe they kill each other and everything will be over, once and for all? I know it sounds cruel but this was the only way we, humans can be at peace again.

"Wear this dress tonight." Terry said while giving me a black, sleeveless knee length dress.

"Leave, I'll change." I muttered, ignoring the soft growls of my stomach. I haven't had anything the whole day . Were they planning to starve me to death?

"Are you hungry?" Terry asked . I didn't bother to say anything. "Sorry, we're not used to having guests around. " He took a step forward and cupped my cheeks.

"Don't touch me..." I snapped at him.

"Since when did you become so fearless, sweetheart? finally getting used to us, blood sucking monsters?" he asked, sarcasm clearly evident in his tone as I glared at him. "Sorry."

"Leave, so I can change." I mumbled and he simply groaned before ruffling up his hair a bit.

"Also Remember, you're coming back to us after the party." He said, stepping closer and I went silent.

"What if I don't?"

"Then I'll force you, sweetheart" he raised his voice, grabbing my wrist as I winced in pain "Don't play with me, Katarina. I'm letting you to party tonight because I want you to get something from Alex. Even if you get caught, make sure to return to me or else I'll make sure you regret it." He threatened me as I could feel the fear rushing through my body.

"I i got it." I choked out as he let go of m wrist. "What do you want me to do?" I asked as a cold grin appear on his face.

"We're here," Victor said, stepping out of the limousine and I followed behind him before stopping near the Ivanov mansion. "And Remember, sweetheart." He said, grabbing my wrist as I turned to look at him.

"What?" I asked softly and froze when I met his mesmerizing blue eyes that were now penetrating into mine, my mind got lost inside them almost instantly.

"If any of the Ivanov brothers tries to talk or touch you, I want you to fight back. Either you run away or don't let them touch you,ok? Scream if it's necessary and call for help." Terry said and I found myself nodding at his command, without any further questioning. He conquered my mind. He is compelling me.

"That's a good girl." Chris grinned at me.

"But what if-"

"Tell them you want to move with us and no matter what, do not disclose what you are about to steal tonight, do you understand? Even if you get caught," He kept going. "Lastly, make sure you come back to me, sweetheart." He finished and I helplessly nodded, my mind completely compelled by his words which made me worse. This is not what I wanted.

"Now, hurry. The humans are already at the event." Henry groaned and I tugged on my dress. Terry gave me a genuine smile. He then send his brothers in first while taking my wrist and practically dragging me inside the mansion. The door opened almost immediately and I watched maria's eyes widen upon seeing me but I quickly turned away, my hair falling onto my face as Terry tightened his grip on my wrist.

"We-welcome." She finally said before we all walked in. I remembered my task for the night.

"Find the red wooden box that's hidden somewhere inside Alex's room and bring it to me. I'll give you your freedom if you do so." Terry's words are clearly written in my mind . People are having fun and chatting among themselves as we walked to the ballroom where everybody was waiting for us. My hands began to tremble at the thought of Alex. Thank god, I was safe, for now at least. Why does Terry want a dumb red wooden box for anyways? What was inside it? Some poison or diamonds?

All I had to do was to get into Mitchell's office room and get the red wooden box when the party is on full swing.

I can do it. I can finally be free.

"Katy?" I froze when I heard David's voice . I turned slowly as my heart was pounding loudly against my chest. His eyes widened so did mine before I backed away a little. It's too early to get caught.

"Wh-what are you doing-" David asked me . My hands began to tremble when Franklin, James Joey and Danny came to David and soon saw me.

"Katy?!"

"Where have you been?!"

"We've been searching everywhere for you!"

"Are you hurt? What happened?"

Before David could grab my hand, I pushed him away . They all look at me in surprise.

"Sta-stay away from me..." I choked out, remembering that I had to follow Victor's every command. From the corner of my eyes, i saw Terry giving me a nod . The next moment, he disappeared. Wh-what is going on? What was he planning to do? What am I supposed to do now?

"What's going on?" David asked me , concern evident in his voice as he shook my shoulders and I brushed them away involuntarily.

"Don't touch me!" I snapped. "Please, just stay away." I choked out unable to bear the pain in my head and was about to run when a hand grabbed my wrist before spinning me around. I gasped and looked up to face Alex, who was now glaring at me, his eyes mixed with so many emotions i couldn't fathom.

"Where the hell you have been?!" he literally bark,jerking me closer and I gasped, trying to break free from his grip but it was no use.

"Let go of me! Let me go, Alex!" I snapped, trying to jerk my hand away. I don't want to fight back, but sadly, I didn't have a choice tonight.

"What's gotten into you?" he asked when I yanked my hand away before shaking my head repeatedly, my mind going blank for a few seconds. Terry's image appears on my mind. Oh no!

"People are looking suspiciously . You're attracting unwarranted attention, Alex." David mumbled and I looked up to face the boys, who were now looking at me with both confusion and concern but I didn't care. I have to take that damn box.

"Let me go, I have to go!" I snapped and by now, everyone started surrounding around us but I couldn't stop even if i want. I was still under Terry's compulsion . So, I had no choice but to obey his every command.

"Katy, please calm down." Joey pleaded softly and I angrily shook my head again.

"You're creating a scene,." Danny hissed

"We can talk about it inside."

They started to convince me . I tried to scream for help . But they huddle around me and my screams were muffled by Alex's arm. I started to feel dizzy as i closed my eyes.

"What happened to you?!" Alex snapped at me. When I opened my eyes , i realized that I was in his office room. "Where have you been?" he asked furiously, slamming his hands on either side of my body on the door .

"I have to go." I found myself saying before push him but he didn't budge even an inch, instead he shot me another glare. I didn't want to anger him any longer.

"You're not going anywhere,Barbie doll." He said through gritted teeth and I glanced around the room, trying to catch the sight of the red box.

"Where-"

"Did they forcefully take you? Did he hurt you? Where did he take you? He's going to die for what he's fucking done-" Alex started his tantrums.

"I went with him on my own will." I cut him off when he flinched at my words. How long? How long was I going to be under Terry's compulsion?

"What are you talking about?" his voice sounded dejected . I took a deep breath before peering into his eyes that were filled with both anger and hurt but at this point, I don't care.

"I said I went on my own will." I repeated again before raising my voice a little and Alex just stood there with an expression I couldn't even comprehend.

"And I intend to get back to him." I said bitterly. I couldn't even control my words. Terry, when will he let go of my mind?
