AIDEN SMIRNOV’S POV

I am sitting on the couch with her on my lap; she is my new partner. My arms are wrapped around her waist and her arms are around my neck. Richie and I have a small history with her, she’s an old friend of mine who I have had a crush on for years and she is the perfect person for this job, she has the same motive as me, to make our new start-up a success. It’s just another day in the life of a mafia king, nothing out of the ordinary.

I just finished telling her why I want her to be part of this. My revenge on Richie can easily be accomplished but that’s not exactly what I want. He played with my personal life when he protected Alice and got her married to his petty brother; It is something I would also like to do. I want life to hit him up like a storm and for that, I have to use his past; his ex-girlfriend. I am hesitant at first to use her but now I don’t care- I care about nothing but to make Richie’s life a living hell.

She looks at my face, studying it for a while as she rakes her hand through my hair. "Are you trying to tell me that I should get Richie's revenge?"

"Huh!" I don’t understand a single word she said.

She groans rolling her eyes "Will someone please translate what I just said?"

I look at her confused, but that feeling fades when one of my bodyguards starts to speak "Босс, леди спрашивает, хотите ли вы, чтобы она отомстила Ричи Маранцано. [Boss, the lady is asking if you want her to get revenge on Richie Maranzano.]"

Some things never change, it’s been five years but she still acts as dumb as she was before. I mean, Is she deaf or what? I already told her the plan why is she asking me the same question? I sigh, not wanting to get angry. I tell the bodyguard my response and he translates it to her in English.

"Boss, says that's exactly what he wants." He said

She turns from looking at the bodyguard to looking at me "But what makes you think I want to seek revenge?"

"Что она сказала? [What did she say?]" I ask the bodyguard. I have many bodyguards that’s why I don’t know what his name is. He tells me what she said and I tell him what to tell her.

"Boss says, Richie Maranzano betrayed you. You secretly dated him for a whole year and what did he do, he deprived you of everything you wanted. He never even showed you to the world like he did to Rachel."

I think she got upset with what I said because she screeched and stands up from my lap "Richie would have done all that to me if only had the chance. His father didn’t like me because I am not an Italian and for that Richie and I kept our relationship a secret. It’s not his fault. He had no choice." She explains

When the bodyguard translated what she said. I laugh my ass out, this woman is even more stupid than I thought she is.

I tell the bodyguard what to tell her and he says: "You really think it’s because of that? Rachel is not Italian but looks where she is; she’s engaged to Richie. Richie didn’t hide your relationship with him because he didn’t want his father to know. He did that because he doesn’t want to be seen with you."

She stays quiet for a while as if she is thinking everything through. I know she will defend Richie so I tell my bodyguard what to tell her.

"Boss says it’s not Richie’s fault, it’s a long-distance relationship so he had to do what he did and now it’s your turn to do what you have to do."

"How do you even know about my relationship with Richie?" She asks. Once again her words were translated to me and I tell my bodyguard what to tell her

"I know everything. But that’s not the point here, the point is you should get what’s rightfully yours, you shouldn’t let Rachel or anyone steal your man from you." He says exactly what I tell him to say.

The one thing women are good at other than sex is being stupid. They literally can do anything to get their ex back even though he was the one that wronged them.

"I don’t know about that." She says but doesn’t sound serious. I think she is still thinking; she wants him. I can see it.

[Isn't that the reason why you left Miami and came here? You want Richie, don’t you? So you shouldn’t let another woman take Richie away from you.]" I say and the bodyguard translates it to her.

"You are right but that doesn’t mean I will support you. I mean, I don’t have anything against Richie or Rachel." She says

The bodyguard translates what she says and I feel my hands ball into fists. I don’t care if she’s my old friend or not, I swear to god if she doesn’t agree with what I say, I will end her life. It’s frustrating enough that I choose to work with a woman let alone chit chat with her. I hate long talks.

I try to cool myself down by taking a cigarette. I light up a cigarette and puff the amazing cigarette smoke before I tell my bodyguard what to tell her.

"Boss says, maybe you don’t have anything against Richie but you do have some grudges against Rachel." The bodyguard tells her after I tell him what to say.

"I don’t understand." She acts like she doesn’t know what I’m talking about.

The bodyguard tells her what I said: "If you don’t have anything against Rachel, you wouldn’t have broadcast Alice’s wedding and made it look like Rachel was the one behind it."

She rolls her eyes "Okay, I don’t like Rachel but that’s because she took away Richie from me. I dated him for a year and I never got anything she got, not even a single one of it. But Rachel, out of nowhere got everything. The popularity, the fame, the money, and now she’s going to have his name in hers." She snaps.

I don’t know what she just said but I know she’s angry; I want her to.

After the bodyguard translated what she said I tell him what to tell her. "Boss says, you can stop that from happening." He tells her

"How?" She questions "Richie loves her, there is no way I can stop that from happening."

"There is, but for that to happen you have to do exactly as I say." The bodyguard says after I tell him what to say.

She looks like she is thinking of something before giving in "Fine, I will do it. Tell me what you want me to do." She says.

I turn my gaze to the bodyguard wanting him to translate what she just said. As he did, a smile appears on my face. She’s right on track. I tell her everything I want her to do.

"Is that it?" She asks. He translates what she said and I nod. Her part in my plan is simple, but what I will do will be completely different she won’t even see it coming.

I chose her for a reason, she is as dumb as a rock, I will use her to get Rachel to me, and at the same time, I will get my Alice back. By the time I get what I want. I will make Richie crawl to me, he will have to beg because this time it’s not just Alice. He will have to pick between his brother and his fiancé.
