"Aarav!" Daksh yelled while I was busy staring at Shanaya who was talking to Adarsh with a constant smile plastered to her face.

I hope the smile never fades away.!

"Aarav! I need to talk to you. It's urgent." He said and dragged me from there but me being the stubborn one was still busy gawking at her.

I don't want to lose even one chance of seeing her!

I want to look at her all I want because I know she'll be gone after a few days!

Finally when she was out of my sight, I turned towards Daksh and asked him annoyed

"What's your problem, dude?"

"You! You are my problem." He said raking his hands in his hair frustratingly.

"What did I do?" I asked confused.

"That is the problem. You are not ready to do anything. Dad wants Shanaya to get married to Adarsh." He said & I looked at him with wide eyes.

"You don't have to say anything now too?" He asked me frustrated and Abhi entered.

"What could I possibly say? We had a talk last night and we have decided we are better off each other." I said shrugging.

But Internally,

My heart was in pieces..!

"And you think you can see her getting married to Adarsh?" Abhi asked calmly.

"If she is happy then yess." I said.

Lier..!

I can't imagine her in someone else's arms.

"You know you love her, right?" Daksh asked.

"Daksh, I am not in denial. I know I love her & there is going to be no one that I could love like her. But I just can't make her marry me. It is going to injustice to her. She deserves more." I said sighing.

"Trust me! You think you have a big heart but the day you come to know that they are getting married you'd be going hell mad!" Abhi said.

"And You think Shanaya is going to be happy with Adarsh? What makes you think that?" Daksh asked.

"Because he has everything a girl wants." I said shrugging.

"And you are everything Shanaya wants! I've never seen her with a fake smile my whole life! But I saw her faking smiles all those months. Because you were not a part of her life." Daksh said.

Do I affect her that much?

"You know how am I. Why do you want us to be together?" I asked pinching the bridge of my nose.

I was hell irritated!

Why does she has to get married to someone?

"Because there is noone I could trust her heart with. There is noone she could be happy with." He said holding my shoulder.

And I sat on the nearby chair defeated.

"I can't see her with someone else." I whispered lowly.

"We know that. That is the reason we are here to put sense into you. Dude, she is one in million. Don't let her slip away." Abhi said.

"Did your Dad ask Shanaya about the whole marriage thing with Adarsh?" I asked and Daksh shook his head in a no.

"But Dad is very sure she is going to be happy with him. So he is sure about this marriage. And not to forget Shanaya is going to leave for U.K. after our marriage." Daksh said and I looked at him shocked.

"That is the reason, Dad wants them to get married. Because Shanaya wants to settle there anyways." He said.

" I can't do anything about it." I said and getting up I left the room hurriedly and went in my room.

I was busy caressing a photo frame which had mine & Shanaya's first picture.

I was in a very grumpy expression and Shanaya was looking at me with a pout to click a nice picture.

Happy days..!

I did not notice when mom came & sat beside me.

"You remember I told you once, You're going to come running to me because you wanted to get married to Shanaya?" Mom asked chuckling.

And I just nodded.

"Mom Am I doing the right thing?" I asked and she just smiled.

"I hate to say it, but you're right." She said patting my shoulder.

"I don't think you should get married to her because you can't see her getting married to anyone else. You should get married to her because you want to. Take your time." She said with a smile.

"Time is what I don't have, mom." I said groaning.

I was absolutely confused by now.

On one side I wanted to hold on to her because I couldn't see her getting married to someone else.

But, Again all my insecuritues come rushing in.

What if I promise her of getting married and then I back off ?

"Abhi & Ahana faced a similar situation but see today they again have another chance. What is meant to be will always be at the end." She said and kissing my forhead she left.

I love her alot!

But can I do this?

I just shook my thoughts and started getting ready for the function.

It was their mehendi function today.

When I walked down I saw Shanaya smiling from ear to ear while getting mehendi on her hands.

My only focus is her when she is around!

She wore a blue dress with dupatta and the dupatta was continuously slipping from her shoulder and she was trying to keep in place by elevating her shoulder.

I walked towards her and just kept the dupatta on her shoulder neatly.

She looked at me & smiled.

The breathtaking smile.

"Thank you! You're truly a saviour." She said with the same smile and I returned it.

I went towards Abhi & saw that he was teasing Daksh about something.

"Now you're going to forget us. 24/7 you are going to be busy with your wife." Abhi said to Daksh wiggling his brows.

Daksh just blushed.

"Are you blushing?" I asked him while laughing.

"Ohh please you are saying as if you never blush. Now If Shanaya just walks towards you, you would be blushing & smiling like a fool." He said to me and it was my time to gush.

She is that magic..!

Then I looked at Shanaya and she was searching for something.

Just then she felt a bit dizzy but she quickly recovered from it & panicked I walked towards her.

"Shanaya. I need to talk you." I said and held her arm to take her with me towards the kitchen.

Because the fuction was going on in the backyard there was no one in the kitchen.

I made her sit on the platform and then opening the refrigirator I handed her a glass of juice.

"When did you had your last meal?" I asked glaring at her.

"Breakfast." She said nervously and I glared at her with more intensity because I knew she was lying.

I took an apple and started chopping it.

Holding it in the fork I fed the the apple.

"You're always going be this irresponsible about your health?" I asked while shoving a piece a apple in her mouth.

She just sat there smiling.

"What are you smiling about?" I asked her annoyed.

"It just brought back a lot of good memories." She said with a sad smile.

"Let's not go there." I said again feeding her another piece.

I am not that strong!

"Dad wants me to get married to Adarsh." She said and I showed as if it didn't affect me but it did.

This breaks my heart every fucking time!

I just hummed and continued feeding her.

"Stop showing as if you don't care!" She said glaring at me.

"What else should I do? Propose you for marriage?" I asked sarcastically.

"Yeah! Maybe you should. Then I'll reject you. You will get to know how much it hurts then." She said scowling.

Such a kid!

"For me you're always going to be mine. Doesn't matter if you're married or having kids." I said chuckling and she just elbowed me.

"What If I propose to you with a ring on a knee?" She asked as her eyes twinkled.

"I am afraid I can't say no to that. But, don't do it. It is already difficult for me don't make it more." I said sighing.

"Fine! So I just get married to Adarsh?" She asked with hope in her eyes.

Hope that I would deny it!

I soo wish I could.

"Whatever you wish!" I said feeding her.

"What I wish for, is you. I don't want anything I just want you in my share." She said and I looked at her.

Don't do this, please!

"Shanaya. We are not having the conversation again." I said.

"Fine! I am sorry." She said huffing.

"Whatever! I'll get married to someone & then you'll regret it." She said rolling her eyes and got down the counter.

If only you knew..!

How much I regret for letting you slip away.

"I am regretting it now too. But that's the best for both of us." I said and she just scowled and left.

I am such an asshole..!
