Chapter 64: Chapter 64

The long awaited day is here. Lucas wakes me early and I can't wipe the smile off my face, as he feeds.

Once I have Lucas fed and burped, I get him ready in a little outfit prior to us getting ready at the shop.

Thankfully, everything is in the car as of last night. So, I get dressed in something comfortable for now and put Lucas in his little carrier.

We go out the the car and get all buckled in. There is one place I feel that I need to go to and it is time that Lucas goes with me.

It has been almost four months. I know he is to young to understand, but I feel like it is where to take him to meet Mom and Dad.

I drive us out the the cemetery, and park the car. The flowers I am supposed to hold going down the aisle is sitting in the seat next to me. I get Lucas out of the carrier and then grab the flowers.

Sunflowers, were Mom's favorite and one way that I feel like I can have her there with me today.

Now, I want them to be resting with her here. I sit on the bench holding Lucas. A few tears slip as I explain to him these are two of his grandparents. I choke up when explaining to Lucas that they would have loved him so much, but are watching him from a special place.

I wipe my eyes and get Lucas back in the carrier. Off to the shop we go and right when we pull in Merissa and Maddy are already here and waiting on us.

"Where have you been, hot mama?" Maddy smiles.

"I had to go see Mom and Dad first." I sniff, while Merissa gets Lucas.

"I got the playpin set up in the office along with his baby stroller." Merissa smiles, as Maddy takes Lucas then walks inside and we follow.

"Your parents would have been so proud of you dear. All that you have accomplished and they are always here with you. Right here." Merissa puts a hand over my heart and the dam burst open as tears pour freely.

Merissa wraps me in a hug.

"No, please none of that! Your eyes will get so puffy that it will make the makeup hard applying to hide it all." Maddy hugs me, having heard and trying to joke some.

I wipe my tears with a cool towel to get the swelling down.

"His little tux is in his little bag." I tell Merissa since Maddy is already started on my makeup.

Thankfully my dress is just a pull up and zip type deal. It technically is just a plain white floor length gown for like the Ball, but I got a sash to go around my mid-riff for some design.

The girls get ready and I get Lucas into his little tux after his feeding. Merissa comes out and I place him in the baby stroller since he is sleeping, and lay him on his back. I give him a kiss then she rolls him out to the front.

"So the guys just pulled in and the gentleman is here for the service as well. You got seven minutes to be walking out back and up to the front." Maddy smiles giving me a hug before dashing out front.

I haven't had a chance to talk to Alex, but I wanted to ask. Looking at the clock, I send him a text asking him to go out front and come to the back that I need him for something.

No response comes and it is four minutes until I walk out.

The door opens and Alex steps in, I take a relaxing breath from the worried he wouldn't make it and I would be walking alone.

"I need to ask you something." I smile.

"I got that from the text. Is everything okay?"

"Would you walk me down the aisle? You're Liam's best friend and I know that I could have asked Merissa like Maddy did, but I thought of you with me not having my dad here. You have been with him during the low points and have helped him before I could."

Alex smiles at me and holds his arm out.

"Thank you for thinking of me. I would be honored to guide his beautiful lady to him and give you over. Now, we got to go before he thinks that you ran off." Alex laughs when I hold onto his arm.

The walk out the door and around to the front is fast but felt like it took so long.

Alex opens the door and steps in with me still holding his arm. We step inside and I can tell Alex is smiling. I look up to see Maddy with tears and Merissa holding Lucas, then there stands Liam in his suite looking so handsome as he smiles at us.

Then my eyes caught a picture of my parents on the counter facing us. I could barely stop the tears from falling that someone made sure to have them here with us today. Now, this is completely perfect.

We walk up to them and the service man, asked who gave me to Liam and Alex answers that he does. Alex takes the hand holding his arm and puts it over into Liam's hand.

"You worried me there Doll, especially after Alex ran out." Liams chuckles.

"I am right here and wouldn't be anywhere else." I smile.

The Justice of the Peace goes through part of the ceremony, before he tells us we can recite our vows.

"Scarlett, you was my very first best friend. You caught my attention in school with your sass and determination. Your love for blue flavor candy and drinks was the topping of it all back then. The memories and thoughts of you ever time I seen the doll you gave me helped me through the life I was living, until I found you again. When it is quiet my mind goes over all the worry, tears, laughs, and love we have shared in the last year that has made up for the twenty years apart. I can't wait to spend the rest of my life with you and our child, or even more kids. As this is only the beginning of forever."

I squeeze his hands, and sniff some.

"Liam, as kids you was the only one that could keep up with me and didn't care I was some girl. Those memories all of the things we played even with my dolls I cherished and still do. You are such a wonderful man and I am lucky to have you, as there is not another soul out there like you. Every day you show me love and help me no matter what I need. You gave me our son and hope for more in the future. I may love my blue candy but I love you more and that will never change. We may get old and wrinkled but we will forever be like kids in our hearts and together. I will be here for you in anything you need. I can't want to spend my life with you."

"With these rings, I now pronounce you husband and wife." The Justice of the Peace says as we place the rings.

"You may now kiss the bride."

With that, Liam pulls me closer to him and dips me back giving me a passioned filled kiss of our promises to each other. We pull away and I move to hold Lucas, with Liam holding us together.

"I can't wait to get my wife in bed once you're healed enough." Liam smirks, before kisses me again.
