Chapter 19: Chapter 19
I wake up to once again sleeping all night. Scarlett's back in pressed into the front of my chest, while my arms wrap around her. I have been holding her tight all night, and it has been the best and easiest sleep I have had in years.
Thought when I slept eight hours awhile back that it was the best sleep. I was so wrong, last night was because now I am awake and feel like I have so much energy.
Slowly I remove my arms from around Scarlett. Sliding out of bed, I move to the closet to pull out the smallest size I own in joggers and a shirt.
Scarlett will need something to put on when she wakes. This way with my clothes, she won't have to put on that costume again. Even though I would secretly love it and no doubt ready for another round with her in bed.
My feelings have grew even more over night for the lady in my bed. Things just feel right and I have never had sex feel as good as it does with her. Twice now she has me blowing my load way to soon, and wanting more.
After throwing on some joggers of my own, I walk to the kitchen. Starting the coffee machine up, I know she will want a cup even if it isn't one of hers.
The picture from my childhood and the doll sits where it has ever since I moved in. I smile at the picture, hoping where ever Emma is she is happy, like I have finally started to be with Scarlett in my life.
Letting out a small sigh, I pick them up and open the door right under the coffee pot. Placing them inside, I give them a sad smile.
I know sooner or later, I will need to share my past with Scarlett. These two items though are the only things I still hold onto from my entire life. A simple picture and doll. Through the Army they kept me going many times, even if some of the guys gave me crap for having them.
The last relationship I was actually in before Scarlett was five years ago. The woman left when I took the picture and doll out of the trash can she had thrown them into. Saying I choose them over her, which was not true. I just didn't want to let go of that part of my past. Those were the only good memories I had left at the time.
I don't think I can bare if Scarlett acts the same and leaves over me having two simple items to anyone else. Scarlett doesn't seem like the overly jealous type.
Maybe I am selfish, wanting this relationship with Scarlett to last so I have not spoke about my past. Scarlett knows the basics prior Army and that is it.
Hearing soft noises from behind me, I close the drawer. Turning to see Scarlett standing there in the long shirt I left.
"Good morning!" Scarlett hums.
"Morning. I have coffee making for us, even if it isn't any of your amazing flavors." I laugh.
"Regular coffee works perfect too." Scarlett nods.
"I can make us up some breakfast if you would like." I state rather than ask.
"Sure. Point me where you want me to help." Scarlett puts her hands on the counter.
"Just take a seat. I will whip us up something." I smile.
"By the way. Those joggers you left, even trying to roll them up, they just fell right off." Scarlett laughs.
"I will figure something out so that we can get you back on the bike and to your car." I chuckle, adding some bacon to a pan.
"Got any plans today?" Scarlett asks, watching me cook.
"Not today. We are closed with it being Sunday. What about you?" I ask her.
"Hhmm. I figure go to the store and do some grocery shopping. I think I have someone coming over tonight for dinner." Scarlett smirks.
"Oh, hot date then." I smirk back.
"I would say. He is about this tall, with a body fit enough to just eat instead." Scarlett laughs.
"Well, I guess I must get you to your car so you can have fun then." I fake pout.
Within a few minutes the food is done and I am placing the plates down in front of her. While I take the stool across from her.
"I only have fun with you. Besides, you just cooked for me and now I need to return the favor. If you will have dinner with me at my house tonight?" Scarlett blushes.
"I would love too." I smile.
We eat our food in a peaceful silence. other than Scarlett letting out some moans.
I clear my throat and look at her expectedly.
"Yeah, I am not sorry. This food is amazing. Instead of an auto shop you should have been a chef or something." Scarlett laughs.
"You're joking right?" I raise a brow.
"Not at all! I have never met a man that could cook." Scarlett snickers, finishing her food.
She helps to clean up the dishes. I run and find her a pair of shorts that is on the tight side for me and dressing myself the rest of the way. Scarlett hangs out on the bed after using one of the extra toothbrushes.
I smile at her and almost confess how I am feeling. Instead, I bite my tongue and help her out to my bike.
Never has a woman look so good before Scarlett does right now on my bike in my clothes.
I take her to her car and she shocks me when she goes to the grocery store in my clothes instead of going home to change.
"So, I will see you at six tonight?" Scarlett asks, looking at me.
"Definitely." I nod.
Scarlett looks at her phone and then my phone dings.
"That is my address." Scarlett blushes, before pulling out of the parking lot.
I make my way back home for the next few hours. I take a warm shower after working out some and get ready to make my way to Scarlett's house for dinner. I am beyond curious what she is making with all the different things she bought earlier today.
