Nikki kept on boiling with fury as she tapped her feet on the ceramic tiled floor, she'd just sighted Jimi dropping Lisha and had even seen them kiss passionately through the window of her room. Immediately she heard the sound of a car driving into their compound, she'd peeped through her room only to see Lisha and Jimi which in turn made her pissed off. Last night, she'd tried calling her sister several times without any response until Lisha called later in the night to inform Gran she would be sleeping out, all efforts to know where she would be sleeping was in vain as she didn't disclose it.

Lisha had left her Range Rover at the car wash earlier in the morning after she decided it needed a steam wash, so she had no other choice than to go with Jimi to MAPLE earlier in the day, not like she didn't prepare for it so, when they closed at work, Jimi had to drop her home.

Immediately Lisha walked into the house with her dancing smiles, Nikki attacked her.

"What was all that about?" shouted Nikki while trying so hard to contain her anger as her legs and hands shook in a palsy of rage.

Lisha looked down at her sister with her smile not reducing, "You didn't even welcome me at all."

Nikki scoffed, "And why would I welcome you? You didn't sleep home last night only to come home this evening, not only did you come home late, I saw you guys kissing out there," she almost screamed.

Lisha tittered as she pulled off the French heels she'd worn on a green sweetheart gown, the heels had been killing her, and for the fact that she had to climb the stairs, she decided it was best for her to pull it off now.

"Answer me!" Nikki barked as she got up from her sitting position while following her sister.

Lisha turned back to her, "You saw everything yourself, so, what other response do you want from me?"

Nikki screwed her eyes shut, "I wasn't imagining seeing you guys out there," she pointed her hand at the door before opening her eyes.

"Yeah, you weren't," Lisha confirmed as she proceeded to walk away but Nikki pulled her back.

"Tell me, it's not what I'm thinking, did you sleep at his place last night?" She yelled.

Lisha chuckled, "Calm your nerves down, it's not good for your health."

"Answer me now!" She bellowed and Lisha moved to the other stair leaving two stairs between her and Nikki.

Lisha leaned closer to her, "It's definitely what you're thinking, I slept at my boyfriend's place last night," she clarified with a smug smile on her lips.

Immediately the words came out of Lisha's mouth, a resounding slap also landed on her face.

Gran and Miracle gasped at this while Lisha opened her mouth widely at the contact before her palm touched her cheeks.

"Did you…" she was wordless with shock.

"Yes, and I'll do that one…" the hot twin slap from Lisha cut her short as her head made ringing sounds for some seconds before she gained her stance.

Holding onto her cheeks with both hands, she dashed her sister a scowl as fury twisted inside her.

"You slapped me?" She asked as her voice shook with resentment embedded in it.

Lisha hissed as she turned to leave but Nikki pulled her back with her braided hair.

"Let go of me!" Lisha shrieked but Nikki went on to pull her hair harder, Gran decided to intervene, she rushed to them but as she got into their midst in an attempt to stop Nikki, Nikki pushed her away and that act made her stagger to the back.

A whimper escaped Miracle's mouth as she stared at Gran's body at the edge of the stairs, her head had hit the sharp end of the stairs and blood gushed out of her head.

"You've killed Gran," Nikki shouted as she let go of Lisha's hair and stared at Gran's body in shock, she was immobilized and speechless as she watched her daughter shaking Gran.

Lisha gained her stance ,"What are..." The words got stuck in her throat as she watched Gran's almost lifeless body, instantly, she rushed over to her.

"What have you done?" Lisha screamed as she shook Gran's body.

"You caused it, you pushed her, I wasn't the one, Lisha, you killed Gran!" Nikki claimed with a very loud voice, almost everyone in the estate would have heard her voice.

Lisha stared at her sister in surprise, Nikki then walked up to them.

"Lisha, you killed her," she shouted yet again but Lisha ignored her as she carried Gran and rushed out of the living room with Miracle trailing behind her.

As they got to the entrance, Nikki pulled her daughter back, "Don't say anything!" She warned sternly.

Lisha turned back as she remembered her car was at the car wash where it was taken to after the auto mechanic fixed the timing belt which was causing some funny sound in the engine earlier.

"Nikki, your keys!" Lisha shouted.

Nikki let go of her daughter as she rushed back to the centre table and got back in a flash, Lisha snatched the keys from her and in a twinkle of an eye, they all rushed into the car, while Lisha drove furiously to the hospital, Miracle kept on wailing as she shook Gran's body while Nikki only stared at her hands with different thoughts running through her head. She couldn't have killed Gran, it wasn't possible.

Immediately they got to the hospital, Nikki stayed out to call her parents while Gran was wheeled into the room only for the doctor to come back that she had to undergo a surgery, Lisha quickly signed her consent and with Gran wheeled into the surgical room, she sat down in anticipation while Miracle kept on crying. Lisha hugged Miracle as she wondered where Nikki could be.

While she kept on wondering, Nikki appeared in company of their dad and her mother.

"What did you do this time again?" Their dad bellowed while Nikki's mom tried to calm him down by rubbing her hand on his shoulders.

Lisha let go of Miracle as she squeezed her face while trying to comprehend what was going on.

"Why did you push her?" Their dad yelled.

Lisha got up as she looked from Nikki who kept her head down, she couldn't dare look her straight in the eyes, to her dad who glared at her and Nikki's mom who was rubbing her husband's hand.

"What are you talking about?" She asked in perplexity.

"Stop pretending," Nikki interjected as she pulled her daughter to her and they sat on the hospital bench chair.

Lisha squinted her eyes, "What are you insinuating?" She turned to Nikki who looked away from her quickly.

"You'll know it when the doctor comes out, just pray nothing happens to my mother, or else, you'll hate your existence," Their dad barked before joining Nikki.

Lisha's expression closed up as she stared at her dad and Nikki in perplexity, then her eyes met with Nikki's mom, she decided it was best to ask her.

"What's going on?"

Nikki's mom gave her a weak smile as she pulled her out of the reception. She didn't want to reply in the presence of her daughter of husband knowing how he could be and how Lisha might create a scene, she didn't want them exchanging words or fighting when Gran was in surgery trying to fight for her life, it wouldn't speak well about their almost non-existent family life.

"Nikki called us and told us everything, she said you guys were having a fight and Gran intervened, you got angry and you ended up pushing Gran," she explained succinctly immediately they got out of earshot.

Lisha's face twisted that instant as her mouth hung open. Why would Nikki do that? They all knew the perpetrator, it wasn't her but Nikki.

"That's not true!" Lisha deadpanned.

"Well, that was what we heard."

"It's a lie!"

Nikki's mom touched her hand, "Let's go in first, then we can sort this out later," she knew Lisha wasn't capable of pushing her grandma, even though she was somehow crazy, it wouldn't be to the extent of causing harm to her grandmother.

Lisha cocked her head before deciding to go back to the reception, she didn't miss the glower her dad dashed her as they walked in, Lisha decided it was best not to sit with them, Nikki's mom sat beside her husband while Lisha remained standing by supporting herself with her elbow resting on the counter.

After what felt like forever, the doctors walked out of the theater room, immediately, they all rushed to them.

"How is she?" They all asked like a perfect chorus.

"You need to calm down," the male doctor said as he ordered the assistant behind him to leave.

"What happened?" Nikki's mom inquired.

"She had a fractured skull and her blood was short due to the intake of heavy alcohol, we realized she do take in a large amount of alcohol and that resulted in a liver disease, coupled with that, she…"

"She what?" Lisha shouted.

"I'm sorry but we lost her," the doctor concluded before taking his leave.

Lisha felt her body go numb at this revelation, she glanced at Nikki who looked away quickly while Miracle's cries increased.
