Chapter 20: Chapter 20
"It's really nice here." I greeted happily as I looked around. In the old days it was just their normal house, they didn't know that after a long time, it would be a tourist attraction, I recounted as we continued to walk. Back then maybe, they didn't know this place would be a tourist destination. That after a long time, it will be a place that will continue to remind us of our history.
"Would you like to take a picture of me?" I was stunned to see the beautiful surroundings. I happily nodded at its offer.
"All right, all right. Just hit it." I handed him the cellphone.
"Smile," he said as he smiled. I continued to pose while he continued to take. No matter how many clicks or a few poses I do I hear no complaints from him. It's too much boyfriend material.
"May I see." I was happy to approach him.
"Well okay, if you're alive today you're a good photographer." Do you think that? Is he even better at taking a picture than my cousins? If I only knew, all the places we go I get him a picture.
"There in the chariot you try." To my surprise, he pulled me to stand close to the horse.
"You smile." Command it. I stared at him and couldn't help but smile sweetly. He can't be content with a picture taking, he keeps doing it wherever we walk, as long as there's a good background, that's where we stop. Photographer thing here, it looks like I'm going to give up on his addiction to take pictures of me.
"What a pity? We're not together." I'm sad. It's a pity, even if we only had a picture together once, the problem is that they can't be seen on camera.
"Would you like to ride in the gig?" Because I wanted to, I let his will.
"But wait, let's change clothes first." I was about to run to talk to the owner of the rig, to ask how much the rent was when he suddenly stopped me.
"Seriously? I don't have any clothes." He even smiled as if he was full of confidence when he told us to change clothes.
"Hurry up." I also ran when he suddenly pulled me. I was surprised at first, but I kept up. Full of fun can be seen on our faces as we run. It also seemed like the surroundings were slowing down and my hair was happily dancing in the wind. It feels so light. What day is it are we day off today in search of souls?
"Here we are." We almost stopped, I was still very close to his arm as I caught my breath. I couldn't speak because I also wanted to run. I took a deep breath before looking up at the store opposite us.
"Are you serious? We're going to wander around wearing that?" Surprisingly I pointed out the clothes display here.
"Yes, don't you?" I would have moaned when he suddenly pulled me into it.
"How did you find out about this place? I mean, things like that?" I asked him in surprise.
"Before when I passed by here, I wondered what it would feel like. So since I've been with you, I've thought why don't we do it together," he replied without looking at me. I was dumb founded by what he said. Anyway, in his case sometimes until he just thinks, and when the opportunity arose he wanted to do it. Since I like it too, why don't I give it to him? Maybe when he was alive, he couldn't do things like that.
So now even though he doesn't remember anything, he still wants to do it.
"Hi, have you made a choice yet?" I was shocked to see the gay man speaking behind me.
"You're serious madam, you're too nervous," he joked. I closed my eyes tightly and grabbed my chest, so why was my speed so surprised? I feel like everyone I meet has a scary story. Gosh!
"Aahhh...this baro't saya." I pointed at the same time. The weather was already hot, but I don't know why Keir thought to wear this. Maybe he wants us to experience being old people.
"It's just me." at the same time Keir pointed.
"All right, I'll get dressed first." I said goodbye to it and went inside, it was just a curtain blocking but the gay man was watching outside. I even had a hard time wearing it at first, because I was still in high school when I last wore it. We had a play at school then and I acted as Maria Clara.
"Finished." I move the curtain. Gay broke it and approached me.
"You're beautiful sis," he said while adjusting the rest of the dress.
"Thank you." I smiled thinly. I took another deep breath before exiting. I had a hard time walking, but I wanted it so I had to stand up.
"Keir." I'm happy to call him. He was standing now while looking outside, he was able to change his clothes immediately. After all, he's a man so it's easier for him. He slowly looked at me. As he rotated, the surroundings seemed to slow down, as if he was shining in my sight. His smiles are super pleasant. I could see the glow in his eyes, and the dimple was out. His curly hair was combed better. Why have I met someone like this and still can't claim it?
"Come on, Maria Clara." It all just came back weakly pushing me gay. I swallowed more and slowly approached it. Of course, I left the clothes I took off first, I paid too much just to put them away, I only carry a small bag now so I can't hide it, Keir doesn't have a car either.
"Come, young lady." It politely reached out his hand. I even looked at the two gays who were obsessed with the two of us.
"Why do you speak like that?" I'm still whispering here.
"Of course, we will think that we are in the old days. Suppose at this time we are together," he replied. I don't know if I should be thrilled with what he said, I'm the only one relying on it. He has no feelings, the heart of the dead cannot beat for a long time.
"All right, sir." I have few responses to this. I smiled inviting his hand that had been waiting. We happily went out, others even looked at us here, but we ignored them. Even if others don't understand why we do it, as long as we know it's what we want now.
"Come ride in the chariot." It even helped me up. Although I was unfamiliar and somewhat isolated in its speech, I accompanied him. For maybe we are fools, despite the times when we are happy, even in the things that make us look stupid.
"Is this how we should speak?" I ask calmly here. I'm not really used to it.
"If you can't, it's okay." At the same time it shows the okay sign he learned from me. I laughed because of it. I must be laughing like a Filipina girl, but I can't.
"It's good that you thought like this, I thought we were just soul searching." I laughed as I looked outside.
"Actually, that's the way it is. Two of them, while we're looking, we're also taking a walk," he replied. I told you so. We still have a mission today.
"Someone begged me to be a Grim reaper, there's a soul they can't get. Her ex-boyfriend doesn't want her to let go. If they still don't get it, the soul can disappear or they can even take the soul of another." I turned to him after he said it.
"Too much love?" I frowned at the question.
"Yes." Its a quick and short answer. I sat up and faced him.
"She's a great painter, if we can find and anticipate it. We can change the fate that awaits them." I stared at his face for a long time, before turning my gaze outside again. I was dumb founded here while snatching the cold air.
Too much love. Sometimes love really can't let go. Memories hold a person captive and we have a hard time letting them go. In the middle of my peek I noticed something in a painting shop. From the outside view the man inside. My eyes narrowed even more to see it, I was not mistaken. He is what we are looking for.
