Kendall greeted the doctor's brother as he walked out of the CT-Scan room. "What's the news Jacob? How's Grayson ?!"

Jacob spoke hurriedly. "He has epidural hematoma. He needs to have an operation as soon as possible. I have to do a surgery now!"

Jacob walked quickly to the operating room with the CT-scan result. The maiden followed.

Kendall lifted his head from the slump on Grayson's bed when he heard the door open. He was temporarily silent when he saw the old man. She was afraid of how it would react.

"Where is grandpa?"

"M-Someone just took care of it for a while in the office. Wait I'll call him. He will be very happy to hear the news."

Cady called Don Arthur. When the phone rang he suddenly thought of Kendall. He wondered if the news would be told here.

"Hey Cady. Does it mean that you and grandpa have already met?" Grayson asked excitedly.

"Yes."

"What did he say to you?"

"Nothing much. He only asked me basic questions. We didn't really talk a lot. We were focused on worrying about your condition."

"Do you think he likes you?"

"Of course I'm worried. Of course I want him to impress my girlfriend," the man said with a smile.

Headquarters. Kendall was depressed at his desk. The mind flies as it stares at the wall. He did not continue to go to the Visayas because of what happened to Grayson. Arriving at the hospital he hurried into the building. Many people were waiting in the elevator so he ran up the stairs. He ran down the hallway. Her chest seemed to explode with excitement. Arriving across Grayson's room he didn't knock anymore, he just opened it on purpose.

"Grayson!" he said smiling as he caught his breath.

He caught Cady and Don Arthur sitting side by side on opposite sides of Grayson's bed. Cady serves Grayson food. All three looked at him at once.

"Grayson!" smiling she called again to the man while still standing near the door. The joy could not be hidden on his face.

Grayson stared at the standing girl for a moment. He then shifted his eyes to Don Arthur and Cady. "Who is that woman?"

Everyone was silent and everyone stared.

It was as if heaven and earth fell on Kendall at what he heard. Immediately the smiles on his face were erased.

"What are you talking about Grayson? Are you joking right now?" astonished said Don Arthur.

"No. I'm not joking. Seriously, who is that woman? And what is she doing here?" Grayson replied while looking at Kendall in surprise.

Kendall approached Grayson and he stared at the man from head to toe. Is this the alleged side effect of his brother? He touched its palm and smiled. She really wanted to hug it but she restrained herself.

"B-Grayson I'm Inspector Whitlock. The ... the new bodyguard Don Arthur took for you," he said smiling as he fought the vibration.

Don Arthur and Cady were surprised by what the girl said.

"Kendall what are you-"

Kendall interrupted what the old man was going to say. And he nodded to indicate that everything was okay. He also looked at Cady and smiled at her for a ride. The woman hesitantly smiled at him as well.

Grayson quickly withdrew his hand from Kendall's grip. He was disgusted with what the girl did. "Grandpa you hired a new bodyguard. What happened to that policeman? He's just starting. Isn't it too soon to replace him?"

"He left because he has a new assignment. Don't worry, I'm also with SPO2 Rodriguez," Kendall explained.

"Grandpa why do you keep hiring police people? Can't you provide me a bodyguard from the security agency?"

Don Arthur did not answer and looked meaningfully at the maiden. Kendall just smiled at it.

"All right, I'll be right out. I'll just call your doctor to see you," the girl said cheerfully.

Kendall looked at Don Arthur again and he nodded in agreement with his decision to call a doctor. When he left the room, he immediately leaned against the wall. Gradually her tears rolled down her cheeks until they dripped. Although sadness and joy mixed in his chest, he knew that joy prevailed in it. There was nothing more important to him now than to see Grayson awake and his face lively again.

She wiped away the tears and smiled to herself. "You cheated Grayson. You said you couldn't forget everything I said ..."
